after all the confusion in the Spencer-Kim-Lewis family, it's almost a comfort to see just Spencer, right? after Lydia Spencer divorced Dennis Kim, she decided to downsize a lot, living in a small (but fancy) bungalow by the side of town, 104 bargain street.

she is not very close to her family, mainly because everyone besides Alice hates her. but she is chill about it. in the end, Lydia is too self-absorbed to think about other people.

It's not just merchandise roundup day: it's also my birthday! ✨🎄 Yep, I was born on Christmas Eve. Everyone I know is afraid of aging, but I couldn't wait to turn 30 last year. 31 isn't too bad, either. I don't see myself as old, but does my age make me a fandom elder? 🤔

Anyway, much as it pains me to say this, the Rue 21 near my place is still closing. I went inside for what's probably the last roundup in that store. I didn't expect to find anything, but they had one new item: a pair of boxers that are entirely black except for a picture of Rick and Morty screaming on the waistband.

I hope the location in the mall doesn't close, but that particular mall is hanging on by a thread. Most of the stores are just empty space. The other Rue 21 locations are almost an hour away!

I also stopped by one of the local head shops. I've posted pictures of it before, but I had to share this plumbus pipe again because it's so well-crafted. (The colors come from the backlighting.)

No weird clip art with Rick as Pennywise or Mr. Jellybean creeping on Morty: just a well-made piece of glass.

These pictures aren't the greatest, but they also had new backpacks. I love the vibrant colors.

I tried to find pictures online. All I could find from the Dabtized brand was this Alice in Wonderland backpack. I've actually seen those illustrations in another head shop (probably ripped off from Dabtized, if Dabtized is even the original owner.)

Mad Hatter Rick is a good look for him.

Five Below had new winter-themed socks and a poster set. Honestly, I don't see the appeal of merchandise where the characters look scared or pissed off?

Off to the thrift store. The shelves were pretty sparse, but I love these Mr. Sparkle boxers. That's one of my favorite Simpsons B-plots. I actually thought it was the main plot when I was a child, probably because it was so weird and entertaining.

I had extra time, so I browsed the graphic tees. This one was so big that I had to step back to get the whole illustration in frame:

And finally: this one cracked me up. Are you naughty like Toxic Rick or nice like "Healthy" Rick?

"Healthy" Rick was cold and uncaring toward Morty. A better comparison would be Rickbot and disheveled Rick searching for Prime in his hideout. Rickbot was an angel!

Today, I wondered if I saw Rick and Morty merchandise when I worked in a department store in 2015. That's when the series really blew up. I don't remember anything, but I also didn't watch the show until 2019, so I wasn't looking for it. Maybe Rick was shilling sneakers alongside Kim Kardashian perfumes.

And if he wasn't, he's got a pretty good gig endorsing fast food on the show. Who wants Denny's? 🥞

Will Alice ever reconcile the fact that her father and husband are fundamentally incompatible people? Will Olivia continue to be the precocious young artist raised by a team of loving parents and grandparents, or will she use her art to rebel against four different sets of expectations?

Dennis is an elder at the beginning of Round 2.

Dennis is the father of Alice Spencer-Kim and the grandfather of Olivia Kim-Lewis and Andrew Kim-Lewis.

baby number one is on the way!! after settling down in her new home, hao made a trip to the art museum and met an elder named dennis kim. they had great compatibility and ended up spending the night together… but in the morning hao thought it was best if they just stay friends.

now she’s in her second trimester and hasn’t kept in touch with dennis. she has, however, been steadily growing in her career as a social media influencer as she posts about her journey through pregnancy.

Vivian has been sharing her recipes and wisdom with young and old alike in her cooking club and Dennis has been sulking recently because Alice is making him socialize with other elders in the new community garden club.

Over the years Alice and Eric have noticed a bit of decline in their love life. Between Alice working on opening her own art gallery, Eric getting flooded with commissions, and all the other responsibilities that they have, they hardly have time for each other anymore. However, recently Alice received instructions from work for a more... sensual theme for her next exhibit at the request of a wealthy philanthropist...

Little Olivia just spends her days being the main character in everyone’s life.

Willow Creek

The Spencer-Kim-Lewis family.. a pre-made household featured in Willow Creek, is part of my save file because I just felt like it. This family doesn’t have a detailed backstory.

Alice and Eric have a daughter named Olivia. Alice's dad, Dennis, and Eric's mom, Vivian, live with them, and you know how it goes. In my save file, I decided to give them a modern-looking house even though Willow Creek is known for its old fashioned design builds aesthetic. I made an exception because Eric enjoys modern aesthetics, and he has the money to design the house however he likes.

Dennis isn't employed, but he's skilled in mixology with a level 7. Interestingly, his daughter Alice also excels in mixology, so I made her a mixologist. It made sense for Dennis to pass down his mixology knowledge to his daughter. Eric Lewis works as a secretary. On the other hand, Vivian, being elderly, doesn't work but she really enjoys cooking. She joined the Harmony Cooks and Bakes Club, a group formed by Nani Fyres.

Over time, I might switch up the family members in my save file, but I'd still like to keep the family name. Perhaps I'll age up Olivia and give her a husband or something.

First four from my 100 baby house have reached YA and flown the nest. Clockwise from the upper left we have, Arlo (Dennis Kim), Beau (Gunther Munch), Callie (Gunther Munch), and Diazo (Mateo Markovic).

Still at home are Edie, Fifi, George, and Henry. I hope the next two are twins! I would like to make it to M before Rebecca hits Elder. I'm playing a kind of relaxed game... Rebecca is married to Gunther, but she's also seeing other people. I try to get her pregnant before the end of the infant stage, but there's a big gap between Fifi and George and then George and Henry because I was waiting for spots to open up in the house. I let infants and toddlers do their full timespan. Then if they get an A and finish a child aspiration, they can age up to teen. I play the teens until they either finish a teen aspiration or they get an A and have 1 character value trait locked. I am trying to get Edie to have 3 of those traits for Rebecca's aspiration.

Okay, so here's the link to the actual in-game version of this family:

Dennis Kim became Dennis Mercer, because I thought the word "Mercer" referred to a type of infection, because I used to watch House and I misunderstood what they were saying when they said "MRSA". Dennis Mercer starts the game as an elder so he didn't last very long. He also died before I started making an effort to collect tombstones/urns, so all I have left of him are the photos I took early in the game.

Dennis Mercer's legacy is his prize chrysanthemum collection, which were maintained after his death by his daughter and then granddaughter. Most of them have been upgraded to "perfect" status. Of course, the plants were overridden when I installed Basemental Drugs, but that's a whole thing.

Dennis Mercer's daughter was Alice Sepsis-Mercer, who became a prominent painter in Willow Creek and Simworld in general and I think she has a star in Del Sol Valley so she would have been a Global Superstar.

Vivian Lewis became Vivian Plague, who also started as an elder and has long since died without an urn. Her legacy was writing a series of children's books about Bill the Dead Cat, most of which are still in the household inventory.

Eric Lewis became Eric Plague. He was a software engineer who advanced pretty far in his career.

Alice Sepsis-Mercer and Eric Plague only had the one daughter, Olivia Mercer-Plague, who was a child when the game started. Both have since aged and passed, their tombstones can be found in the Magnolia Blossom park which has been partially converted into a cemetery.

Olivia Mercer-Plague is currently a young adult and is probably a lot younger than she should be. The Glitch fucked shit up.

Year 1

Dennis Kim has stetted into the new house. He loves being out in his new garden. He is excited to grow an array of crops that his family can enjoy.  He is happy that he gets spend more time with his family and watch Olivia grow!

Willow Creek (TS2) Testing Version 0.3.1

We are now approaching final release! Features we are looking at for Version 0.4 will include a full set of memories for all sims. We have now passed 60 downloads across all versions! Thank you everyone for your support.

The last household we'll visit in Willow Creek is the Spencer-Kim-Lewis family, who live in a big house in the Sage Estates neighborhood.

Eric Lewis enjoys his gorgeous home and his gorgeous family, but he can't help feeling like he's… missing something. He's afraid of having a super cliché midlife crisis about it, though.

Alice Spencer-Kim is determined to become a world-famous artist. Her paintings are already getting attention at small local galleries.

Olivia Kim-Lewis is an artsy kinda kiddo — not really surprising, with 1 parent who's perpetually covered in paint and 2 grandparents who dutifully "ooh" and "aah" over every little craft she's ever made.

Vivian Lewis is happy to take care of all the domestic things around the house while her son… does whatever he does all day… and his wife works on her art and her precious grandchild goes to school. Honestly, retirement isn't as boring as everyone said it would be; she finds it quite cozy.

Dennis Kim has honestly really been feeling his years lately. He's happy to putter around in the garden and help out with a few honey-dos, of course, but mainly he just needs yet another nap….

This family seems to have it all — a beautiful home, fulfilling activities, good relationships with each other. Can this perfection last forever?

Townie Baby Challenge

Using a matriarch (or any sim that can get pregnant) try to have a baby with every single pre made townie in the game and raise those children to adulthood without them dying or being taken away. As more packs come out more townies and babies will be had.

Rules

Must have at least 1 baby with every pre made sim. This doesn’t count sims from the trailer on the gallery that gurus or maxis post. These sims must be already in the world and in everyone’s game.

Cheats can be used to change pregnancy ability of different sims.

Must start with average funds and build up house from there.

Cannot have a baby with the same sim twice.

Cannot marry until matriarch becomes and elder.

If child dies or is taken away, another baby with that child’s parent is needed. (If you have twins and one dies no need to do this).

Matriarch cannot get a job.

Toddlers must get all skills to level 3 to age up.

Children must get two skills to level 5 and get an A in school.

Teens must get an A in school and have two skills at level 5.

Skills should relate to parents traits. (Parents from a certain pack’s children should have skills from that pack).

Must wait until underage sims age up to young adult to have a baby with them.

If matriarch dies before finishing this then youngest daughter (or impregnable child) completes the challenge.

The elders of the Kim-Lewis Household stopped by to welcome them back. Isaiah was the first to greet the elderly pair, but he was done after 2 long minutes of Dennis’ nonstop chattering. Kyung-hwa took his place and immediately regretted it.
