It was chilly, here.

The sparse trees and green grass caught her attention first and foremost, the chuunin’s gaze wandering from unfamiliar landscape to unfamiliar landscape. This was damn far from home and unusually outside of Sunagakure’s preferred trading range; the small village they were meeting up with wasn’t even within the desert nor owned an oasis.

Civil war’s doin’ more damage then’I realized. If we’re reachin’ out this far for common herb’s’n water... not that we’ll be able to afford ta’ former. I ain’t that good of’a talker.

There’s a deep sigh. Desertwear and sandstorm gear certainly wasn’t needed here, though she wished she’d have backup. Everyone was busy, a threat to her life when alone, or too important to send this far out.

WEEK 3 – RESOLVED GRAYSCALE RENDERS

Began looking at how Paul’s clothing would interact with/reflect the harshness of the Arrakis desert. Looking into some desertwear from Saharan + other Middle Eastern/Southeast Asian cultures, I found that the commonalities were the outerwear was usually a large cloth or large loose-fitting garment that could be wrapped tight in places where it would otherwise get in the way (around the waist, at the wrists, at the ankles etc). More stylistic choices included embroidery or patterns in the fabric, a flowing piece of fabric like a scarf or sash, or jewelry. 

I also wanted to begin thinking about how Paul might look especially in terms of hairstyle and some defining facial features.
