What artists have inspired you? I love your style and want to implement this on my own!

A lot! These are going to be in order, so it's not hard to discern which art belongs to whom. There's a lot of rambling below the cut, so warning for long ass post. Also, they're all on twitter.

Thanshuhai, Papyuuno, Terry Grimm, _Kunaru and TFiddlerart for the way they render characters and general (stylized) anatomy,

Then Neytirix, Kuroblood, Nomax and Alcxome for the cinematic illustration-esque shots,

Rinotuna and just.... Arknights Elite illustrations in general for their creative character and outfit designs

And during my time as a fnaf artist on twitter before I left it (I think a year ago at this point)? Snartles, Soul.82, AlpinePing and Ewademar were TOP of my list.

A bit of a ramble starting from this point, but....

I have studied these specific pieces DOWN TO THE VERY DETAILS OF THE BRUSHSTROKES, in order to learn HOW they do their art. This includes mimicking their artstyles for a while, and once I'm comfortable and have added it to my vast visual vocabulary, I switch back to my actual artstyle in order to apply it to the way I draw.

The results are these womp womps I shit out in half a day so in case it wasn't obvious, I don't really see myself as a good artist because I have such high as fuck, unrealistic expectations for myself but. I do try to keep it in check... mostly.

But something I'll confidently say? I'm always learning. All the time. All the pieces I see everywhere, I am constantly analyzing the way artists draw from the way they do clothing, to the shape language used in designs, actively or subconsciously. Sometimes I'll ask how the rendering is achieved or what brushes have been used if I can reach the artists, and see if it works for me or not.

I carry art with such a passion, in such high regard, and dare I say I do it so aggressively and passionately behind the scenes. I'm not talented like people think, I'm just always wanting to learn, and improve, and learn another thing again once the previous lesson has been learned. And this has been my journey for the last 4 years I've been doing digital art, and another 3 years being a traditional one prior to my switch to digital, so.

I'm not a skilled artist like my art inspirations, but I am an artist nonetheless. And you know what...? I think I'm fine with being just that.

Saved one of the best for last! Snartles is seriously such a huge source of inspiration for me, I HAD to draw her OC, especially the glamrock design :]

This concludes the series for now, but I'm totally looking forward to making a new batch of these drawings with new OCs, likely from the same artists or new ones! This was a great exercise ^^

Glamrock Bonnie redesign! Or in my Security Wanted AU, Glamrock Bonaire Hare! :3

I will confess that I don't 100% like the official Glamrock Bonnie design... I like most of it! I just have questions. Like, 'Why is he Mazercise themed and not Bonnie Bowl themed?' 'Why doesn't he have a bowtie like Freddy?' 'Why are his shoulder pads sooo different from the others?' 'Why doesn't he have claws to play the bass with?' 'Why doesn't he have more extravagant face paint?', etc. And of course I have some nitpicks (looking at you, Hair and Snout), but I do like him overall! .... in fanart mainly.... but still! I think he's fun and most of my questions can be explained away anyhow. But I suddenly got smacked in the face by FNAF last night and wanted to try my hand at a redesign! Which ended up being a concept design for my AU Glamrock Bonnie/Bonaire! Sorry lion mane, you will be missed 😔

For inspo, I used the official design (obviously), Glamrock Bonnie and the Bonnets (only slightly, mainly vibes), Snartles's Glamrock Bonnie design (mainly colors but also the soft yet spunky vibe he's got going on), and my design (specifically patterns) :3

I wanted to keep close to the official design, but add some of my ideas to it, you know? First off, I took off the headband, it made the head look crowded with the hair and it didn't really match the bowling theme he's supposed to have. While I didn't add much to his face paint I did add a extra little stripe underneath his eye to make his face look less empty, but not over crowd it. Plus, he and Roxy can match :3 Gave him his freckles back because I love them. I kept his whiskers, but made them lighter. Made his hair more poofy and matched it to his shoulder pads. While I didn't change the shape of his shoulder pads (there's a reason why for this), I did add stars to the tips for a more superstar look. I imagine the stars to have a sort of golden foil look? Makes them extra ✨️shiny✨️ Gave him a bowtie that's attached to a collar and made it purple to match the lightning stripes on his jumpsuit, and maybe connect him to Springbonnie to signify a new age. I didn't change his jumpsuit because I think it fits the Glamrock theme nicely, I just shifted the colors so they weren't bleeding into eachother. I didn't draw it, but I changed the lightning bolt to a shooting star that has a purple to yellow gradient that goes down to his leg warmers or the middle of his thigh, I haven't decided. I think I'll remove the stars on his sides because there's now too many stars in one place and they're barely visible due to their placement and color. Maybe I'll move them to his legwarmers if I decide to stop the shooting star design on his thighs. Changed the earring color to red so Freddy and Bonnie can complete eachother <3. I didn't draw these either, but Bonnie has nails and his gloves have a star on the top (if he can't have stars on his face then I'll put stars everywhere else). I didn't draw this either, but I gave him a tail. Gave his inner ears a small, blocky gradient with it getting lighter at the bottom. And last but not least, I changed his base color from cyan to a light/soft indigo to make it easier on the eyes, but I might go back and make the base color a little more lighter because he's kinda blending into his shoulder pads :/

Oh my god I mightve figured out what I sorta looked like. There's this one design I've seen people post (long hair, headband, star eyepatch, black shorts with a star pattern, the black and yellow jacket with shoulder pads. That one. I think made by someone called "Snartles"?) and it is giving me MAJOR kinfeels ESPECIALLY the 3d model of it floating around. I don't think I looked EXACTLY like that (especially not the small goatee Snartles seems to have more recently added) but at least something like it.

holy shit I NEVER thought I'd be able to figure out what I actually looked like beyond "Foxy but Glamrock".

(Also the art/headcanon posts where he acts kinda Old and he's Retired from the main band spark kinfeels?? Was I Grandpa to the children at Kids' Cove????)

My favourite yo kai is probably snartle i just think its cute how murdery he is while my favourite human is Hailey due to her personality contrasting well with nate's straight banana personality and lets her get caught in any yo kai shenanigans naturally.

The anime is pretty good with a couple of bad episodes and it will occasionally contradict the series lore for jokes but thats not really a big issue. The shadowside was an interesting new angle for the series in both art style and story but the designs are really hit or miss especially the returning yo kai. I didnt really watch shadowside so i might be misremebering but i remember hating that they made nate forget about the yokai with all my heart.

The games are all good and they consistently identified what their strengths and flaws were and built upon them which was really impressive. The first one was kinda finding where the series was going to and did a good job building up the world and the characters. Bony spirit and Fleshy souls were the best in my opinion as the characters and story were all really solid and introduced some of the best yokai such as the classic and wicked yo kai. Yo kai watch 3 was probably the one that embraced the goofiness the most and introduced some of the best human characters in hailey and buck as well as making some of the best combat and game mechanics. Sadly i never got to play the games that weren't released in english and the mobile game just seemed boring to me.
