Hacksaw Ridge, es una película que me gustó mucho consta de la segunda guerra mundial, de un objetor de conciencia llamado Desmond T. Doss, para mí es muy buena la película por que tiene mucha ficción, mucho drama y fue basado en una historia real de verdad me gustó mucho y la recomiendo.

•Thesis statement:The film follows the journey of Desmond Doss who aims to get in the army but came in conflict when the army justifies his ways of not holding a weapon due to his religion as a christian,being a seven day adventist creating doubts and confusion to the army despite his sworn oath to serve his counrty

Summary

•The extraordinary true story of conscientious objector Desmond T. Doss who saved 75 men in Okinawa, during the bloodiest battle of WWII, without firing a single shot. Believing that the war was just but killing was nevertheless wrong, he was the only American soldier in WWII to fight on the front lines without a weapon. As an army medic Doss single-handedly evacuated the wounded near enemy lines - braving enemy fire and putting his own life on the line. He was the first conscientious objector to ever win the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Evaluation

•It gives us a deeper understanding about sacrifice,will,and the strength to carry on,being Private Desmond Doss who is a religious man at heart,but with the army contradicting and doesnt agree on his ways of serving on the line without a weapon and proved them all wrong with strong enough so stand for himself and served his country as a medic

•the film also highlights the difficulties between individual beliefs and social expectations,regarding the main character's conflict between his beliefs compared to what the army wants that creates a barrier of misundsrstanding between both parties

•Yes he proved a point by producing this particular movie,based on real life experience of a guy with a dream of serving his country despite the discriminations,he overcame it and proved himself worthy to the people to see

Conclusion

•I agree to the whole story,and the part where he proved everyone wrong and,became brave and helped his wounded co soldiers get back into the medical bay

•I agree to all the parts,pacing,the story and the overall experience when i watched it,the one thing that i only disagree with is that of how harsh they treated the main character regarding his own beliefs

•As me who watches this a lot of times,this is one of those movies i consider a "work of art" just how the creation of the movie,because you can really feel those emotions flowing as the movie progresses,the suspense of the action,and how the real life experience was well adapted into this movie

Hacksaw Ridge (2016), A gripping World War Two story which sees Andrew Garfield portray character Desmond T. Doss, the first man in the history of the States to be presented with such a meritorious award as the Medal Of Honour without firing a rifle. With an IMDB Rating of 8.1, averaged by 400,000 people, and directed by Mel Gibson, there are no surprises that this film is a captivating multi oscar winner. Being a victim of abuse throughout basic training, Doss is an awe inspiring character, with an immense amount of drive, to stick to his guns (or rather lack of), and bring his fellow brethren home to safety.

Although lacking in some parts, this film would gather a rating of 6.8, Mel Gibson lacked a captivating screenplay, although the story of Desmond is a captivating one.

why i love it (in a few words): incredible actors, loveable scenes, heartbreakingly good performance, perfectly written lines, i love robin williams, dark academia aesthetic, full of adorable (and attractive) characters

why i love it (in a few words): the aesthetic, so many incredible actors, i love this story (loved the novel and the original movie too), somehow it's so relatable, i absolutely adore greta gerwig

good will hunting (1997)

why i love it (in a few words): i love matt and ben and i'm so impressed that they wrote this whole thing so young, inspiring, somehow relatable even though i'm not a math genius, the aesthetic, the actors' performance oh my, as i already said i absolutely adore robin williams, young matt damon looks breathtaking (sorry not sorry)

the godfather i & ii (1972, 1974)

why i love it (in a few words): for some reason i have a thing for mob things, i love al pacino (phenomenal acting talent, pretty attractive), this one's a true classic, literally oldie but goldie

dunkirk (2017)

why i love it (in a few words): i love christopher nolan's movies, ww2 movie, perfectly written script with all the needed things, so many amazing actors and characters, the cinematography

why i love it (in a few words): it's one of the few hungarian movies that i truly love, amazing actors that i love so much, such interesting story, could watch whenever and endless amount of times

back to the future i, ii & iii (1985, 1989, 1990)

main actors: michael j. fox, christopher lloyd, lea thompson

why i love it (in a few words): could watch endless amount of times, i love michael j. fox and christopher lloyd, they are perfect for these roles, it's funny interesting and so enjoyable, time travel

when harry met sally (1989)

main actors: billy crystal, meg ryan, carrie fisher

short summary (wikipedia): "the story follows the title characters from the time they meet in chicago just before sharing a cross-country drive, through twelve years of chance encounters in new york city. the film raises the question: can men and women ever just be friends?"

why i love it (in a few words): so much fun to watch, honestly though somehow it's so fanfic like, these two actors oh my, this is the standard of romantic movies, it set the bar to high so no romcom ever could reach it, oen of my favourite romantic movies ever

about time (2013)

main actors: domhnall gleeson, rachel mcadams, bill nighy

short summary (imdb): "at the age of 21, tim discovers he can travel in time and change what happens and has happened in his own life. his decision to make his world a better place by getting a girlfriend turns out not to be as easy as you might think."

why i love it (in a few words): i love domhnall and rachel SO MUCH, bill nighy is in it and he's phenomenal, this is such an interesting concept, it makes me think and try to live my life with a more positive mindset, this is my other favourite romantic movie ever, it makes me feel so happy whenever i watch it, time travel
