KEEPING IT REAL!!

Hello, this is my first ever Tumblr post. Before posting anything, I want to clarify that if you all consider me to be a wannabe therapist, a sagacious person who always loves to preach things, feel free to think like that. My main motto is to build a one to one connection with your souls and mind in a beneficial way, help you feel alive once more, make you feel inclusive even though you are always left behind or ostracized by the people who you thought were genuine. My posts also reflects what I personally am going through in my life right now. So in a way this is a platform where we both can unleash our demons, and just get used to the fact that this is your only life.

Your life consists of people who are are temporary,( you never know when start acting like a chameleon). At the same time there are people who love you so much more than you do, they might be living under the shadows, they might be afraid to approach you directly. Some people express their gratitude to you outright, and if you have that someone in your life, stop complaining because you are already blessed.

They will be there waiting for you till the end. They are, and accept it, the only ones who genuinely understands your purpose of life. So, if you make them- feel obligated, hurt or go through emotional trauma, that is the most abominable thing you can ever do. (Sorry this was too heavy🙄)

Secondly whenever you hear people say things like ''Crop tops are only meant for people who have slimmer waists or red only suits fair-skinned people, or dimples are signs of beauty, why don't you wear lenses, glasses are overrated, that is nothing but they trying to manipulate your mind with their nonsensical perceptions on perfectionism.

This reminds me of the very cliched SEXIST movie-Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, if you haven't watched it, then don't. It is mostly about a girl called Naina who was a geek and always felt like an outcast. So she gave up her ambitions, her looks, her personality to be in the cool gang. She needs her boyfriend's validation to feel good about herself. She wants to have fun like others. I don't have a problem there, but why is it that in order to enjoy your life you need to change your individuality? It just blurs the thin line between reality and artificiality.

I CONCLUDE MY POST BY SAYING THAT ALL OF WHAT I PUT OUT THERE IN WORLD, MAKES YOU SMILE, MY PURPOSE OF CREATING THIS ACCOUNT WOULD BE WORTH IT

Comfort and self expression are two of the most important components to good design and style in my professional opinion. As I’ve been highlighting female performers’ stage style from my favorite music festival @fingerlakesgrassrootsfest I’ve loved sharing what makes these powerhouse musicians feel comfortable and helps them express themselves. It was really inspiring to hear from @thehousethatbyrnebuilt, @driftwoodtheband band member. Please check out the short Stage Style Spotlight video I recently posted! And here is Claire Byrne’s full response to me asking about her stage style and what the decision making process behind it entails: “I’d say my stage-style can be described as feminine, strong and comfortable. I always choose darker colors and rarely choose fabric with a pattern. I don’t want to stand out from my band mates by choosing an outfit that doesn’t blend with theirs. I always wear tights and boots because I like the way they make me feel. In the past, I was always trying to find the most unique clothing I possibly could but that was a lot of work and led to a lot of “dud” outfits. I’m not one for too many frills (although I don’t mind a ruffled sleeve occasionally) and I prefer a straight skirt. I guess I don’t like to come off as too “girly” and I don’t like a lot of fabric flowing around me. The clothes I choose to wear make a big difference in how I feel and carry myself.
