idol au fanfic where jeonghan and his stylist/makeup artist fall in love? slow burn, sexual tension typa thang ;) <3 !
Worth It • yoon jeonghan
my first request, thank you sm! :) I tried to make it a slowburn and not such a long one. sorry it took so long :)
Summary: As a makeup artist, you knew you couldn’t fall for one of the members, but you couldn’t help yourself.
Words: 3.2K
Pairing: Yoon Jeonghan x MakeupArtist!Reader
Warnings: cursing, sexual tension
"Next."
Vernon rushed over to the waiting seat and sat down, letting you begin your work. You grabbed your clips and clipped his hair back to give you better access to his facial features.
They were in the middle of filming their music video for their comeback, and you were the one in charge of making them look their best, which wasn't that hard since they were already so handsome.
You began sculpting his face, making sure his features popped more than normal. "The bags under your eyes are more prominent today. Did you not get enough sleep?"
"Of course I did."
You gave him a knowing look, and he sheepishly smiled at you. "It's not healthy to stay up so late."
"What time did you go to sleep then?"
You rolled your eyes. "I'm not the one that has to stand in front of the camera- stop squinting."
"It tickles!" He argued, trying his best not to laugh as the brush stroked against his eyelids. He always was the biggest baby when it came to putting his makeup on. He could never sit still.
"I'm almost done." You told him, urging him to be still just for another minute. With one final stroke of your brush you stood up. "Okay, go away."
"So kind." He rolled his eyes as he stood up, towering over you.
Reaching your hands out, you urged him away. "I still have five left of you to do, begone."
You called for the next one, and Jeonghan walked over from the waiting area along with the other four you still had to do. He sat in the chair silently, letting you get to work.
You ran your fingers through his semi long hair to bunch it up before you clipped it together. You ignored the way he shivered under your touch.
Unlike Vernon, he was still for the most part. His eyes followed your every move as you applied the makeup to his face, and you had to try and not get flustered by the way he was looking at you.
He didn't move an inch until the other's continued their earlier conversation with him. You removed the clip from his hair, letting if fall back into place. You tried to look around his face to make sure everything was right, but he kept moving.
"Would you-" You grabbed his face in your hands to make him look at you. His eyes widened slightly as you moved closer. "Be still for a second."
You eyed his features, unaware of how close you were to him. It was normal for you to get close up to make sure there were no flaws in your work, but what you weren't used to is how your chest tightened just now as your eyes met his.
You slowly backed up and cleared your throat. "Okay. You're done."
You didn't even need to call for the next one. Seungkwan was already up and shoving Jeonghan out of the seat. He clipped his own hair back and sat straight up in the seat.
"Make me beautiful, y/n."
You blinked, bringing yourself back to your work. "Let me get my bigger kit then."
He scoffed at the playful remark and crossed his arms, but he didn't say anything as you got to work on him. He was by far your favorite to work on, because he was always the most still, and he complimented your work the whole time.
You kept quiet as he talked, your mind still trying to understand why your stomach flipped at the sight of Jeonghan. You've been working with them for almost a year now, so you couldn't figure out what was different all of a sudden.
-
Y/n, emergency. Jeonghan messed his face up.
You groaned as you made your way through the corridors of the studio, trying to find your way back to the makeup room where you knew he'd be waiting. It was common for the boys to mess up their makeup often. With the way they played around it happened more than you'd like it too. You've tried everything, from waterproof mascara to lip stains. Somehow they still managed to get it off.
"Yoon Jeonghan-" You opened the door, stopping in your tracks at the site of him sliding a shirt over his bare torso. Your eyes widened, and you couldn't stop the way your cheeks heated up as his eyes met yours.
You've seen then all without shirts on before. You've seen over half of them in just a towel at times- not on purpose of course. You've seen him like this before, so why are you getting flustered now? Ever since the other week you couldn't control yourself around him, and you were getting annoyed.
"Are you gonna come in?" His voice broke you from your thoughts, making you realize you were still in the doorway. You shut the door as you walked in the room fully, ignoring the smirk he gave you.
Setting your bag on the table, you motioned for him to get onto the chair. He did as instructed, his eyes watching you go through it's contents before finding what you were looking for.
"What happened?"
"Seungkwan and Mingyu splashed water in my face." He informed you, annoyance laced within his voice. "And I had to wipe it off."
"And your makeup with it." You clarified, to which he nodded in agreement. You loved these boys, but they could be a bit much sometimes. "Why'd they do it?"
For the first time since you came in, he moved his eyes from you as he cleared his throat. "It's Seungkwan and Mingyu, so who knows?"
You ignored the difference in his voice as you clipped his hair back. "Fair point."
You leaned down as you began to reapply his makeup. The chair was shorter than the ones you were used to, so you had to lean in a bit more to get a good look at what you were doing.
The silence around the two of you was thick with an unknown tension. Usually the two of you would joke around a lot, but you hadn't for the past couple of weeks. Things have been different between the two of you, and you weren't sure how to address it.
Thankfully, his makeup wasn't that messed up, so it didn't take you long to fix it. A sudden knock made you jump back slightly, and you managed to stumble a bit. Jeonghan's hands shot forward to grab you by the waist to keep you sturdy. His hands gripped your waist, and you bare skin burned under his touch.
Joshua peeked his head through, his eyes widening slightly at the position the two of you were in. "Uh, we're about to go on."
You and Jeonghan glanced at one another before he stood up from the chair and the two of you stepped apart. Your eyes fell to the floor, and you tried to hide your red cheeks. "I'm done. You can go."
He nodded and left with a quick, "Thanks y/n."
He avoided eye contact with you as he walked out of the room, where he then avoided eye contact with Joshua. The younger boy nudged him slightly once the door was closed. "What was that?"
"Nothing."
"Is that what Mingyu and Seungkwan were talking about earlier?"
"Shut up Joshua."
-
An hour earlier.
Jeonghan was sitting on the couch in their dressing room, scrolling through his phone when he felt the couch dip on both sides of him. He shut his phone off and turned to look at Seungkwan and Mingyu, who were giving him knowing looks.
"What do you two want?"
"Oh nothing." Seungkwan shrugged, trying to play it off smoothly. He failed.
Mingyu was the one that gave them away. "We wanna know what's going on with you and y/n."
"What are you talking about?"
Seungkwan nudged the older man, giving him a sly smile. "Don't act like you haven't noticed the tension when you two are together. It's annoying."
Jeonghan knew what they were talking about. He's been enjoying the way your cheeks turned red whenever he was close to you. The way his chest warmed when you'd laugh at one of his jokes. He wasn't sure when he started feeling this way about you, but he wasn't complaining.
"Don't worry about it." Was the only thing he decided to say. It was a clear mistake on his part since it make the two of them go crazy. They began to jump and down beside him, shoving him back and forth. He tired to get them to stop, but they were already hyped up.
Mingyu shoved the older man a little too hard, making him squeeze the water bottle in his hand, resulting in the water inside splashing all over his face. They both stilled instantly, looking at each other with wide eyes.
"We-" Neither of them could sputter out a word as Jeonghan glared over at them. They quickly sped away Seungkwan calling out. "I'll let y/n know!"
-
"Wait. Wait. Wait! Wait!"
You couldn't hold in your laughter as Seokmin screamed for the rest of his members to stop spraying their water guns at him. They were recording their newest episode of Going Seventeen, and you were there to make sure to help them afterwards.
They were all howling in laughter as Seokmin fell to the ground, his own laughter being too much for him to handle. The director called for cut, and the members than were eliminated from the game were called behind the camera's to watch the rest of them finish the game.
Joshua, Wonwoo, and Jun were standing around you since they were the ones eliminated first. Joshua and Wonwoo on either side and Jun behind you, all of you watching the rest of them.
"It's alright, Seokmin." You reassured the younger boy as he walked by you. You held out a towel, and he offered a sweet smile in return as he grabbed it and continued on to change clothes.
You turned your attention back to the show before you, watching as they started the next round. The next game was red light green light, and Soonyoung was the caller. They were all doing well at first, but Minghao, Seungcheol and Jihoon were quickly called out.
"So, y/n." Joshua spoke up, making sure not to speak to where the camera's would catch him. "I meant to ask you the other day, but what happened between you and Jeonghan?"
You paused, the smile immediately moving from your face. "What do you mean?"
"You two looked awfully close in the fitting room." He elaborated, catching the attention of the other eliminated members.
"I almost tripped because you scared me." It wasn't a lie. "And Jeonghan caught me before I could."
"I can't be the only one that's noticed the sexual tension between the two of them." Jun spoke up from behind you. Your eyes widened at his comment. Did they all think that way?
Mingyu snorted. "You're definitely not."
Joshua hushed them before nudging you softly. "You like him, right?
Your eyes moved over to the blond at the mention of him, watching as he laughed at Dino getting caught by Soonyoung. Your chest warmed at the sound of his laughter. It always made you soft, but recently you've been yearning to hear it more often. You've taken notice to the smaller details about him more as well. Like they way he cared for his members. He wouldn't out right say he cared for them, but he would always make sure he got something for them whenever he went to their favorite places-
oh.
oh no.
When had you become so observant of him, and when did you start thinking about him like that? There was no way you could have feelings for Jeonghan, absolutely none. You'd get fired, and they you'd get bashed by his fans- well most of them.
"I'm taking the silence as a yes." Joshua said with a grin on his lips. "You should tell him."
"Tell him?" You repeated. There was no way you could do that. Not only did you just become full aware of your feelings towards him, but that would risk both of your jobs.
"Tell who what?" Jeonghan's voice caught your attention. You jumped and turned to face him, your eyes falling on his soaked form. His already tight shirt was sticking to his body, and you could vaguely see the outline of his abs. You blinked to pull your gaze away, only to meet his smirking gaze. His wet hair was everywhere, and you couldn't stop the ungodly thoughts that passed your mind.
He tilted his head slightly, acting innocent, "Something wrong, y/n?"
"No." You shook your head quickly, trying to compose yourself. You could hear the boys trying to keep their laughter down. "I'm fine. If you'll excuse me."
You walked around him, and on your way out of the studio you could feel his eyes on you the whole time.
-
Now that you were one hundred percent aware of your feelings for Jeonghan, you decided it was best to try and block them out. It wasn't easy, especially because of the way he's been looking at you lately.
You wanted to further your relationship, but the fans were already curious about you after a picture of the two of you got leaked. You weren't sure how it happened, but someone managed to snap a pic of the two of you getting food for everyone. What they managed to not get in the pic was Chan and Vernon were in front of the two of you to help bring it back.
Ignoring him wasn't a option. Hell, you worked with him. There was no way you'd be able to ignore him, and you weren't about to complain about it. You loved being around him, but you didn't like the way he made you feel so vulnerable.
Like now, he was once again watching you with those yes of his as you did his makeup for their vlive. You could feel your heart beating through your chest as he did so.
"You've got something-" He reached over, using his thumb to brush the stray eyelash off your cheek. Your eyes widened, and your breath got caught in your throat as he leaned closer to your face. You were already close since you were doing his makeup, but now he was even closer.
Your eyes met, and practically see the want in them. You were sure he felt the same way as you, or at least you were hoping he did. His glance to your lips was quick, but you managed to catch it.
You pulled back from him and let out a quick breath. "I'll uh- be right back."
You set your brushes down and walked out of the dressing room and down the hallway to catch a quick breather.
Come on y/n. Get your shit together.
"You alright?" A voice startled you. Turning around, you found Jeonghan looking at you with a concerned look. "You got out of there pretty fast."
You nodded. "Yeah, I just needed some air"
He took a step closer to you. "You sure you're okay? Your face is kind of red."
"I'm fine." You crossed your arms over your chest, trying to look everywhere other than him. "What was that back there anyways?"
"What do you mean? I was just getting something off your face." He gave you that innocent look once more.
"But you-" You cut yourself off and sighed. "Nevermind."
"Did you think I was going to kiss you or something?" His words made your cheeks turn an even deeper shade of red, and you looked down at the ground in embarrassment. "I would have, but the guys were watching."
Your head snapped up, and you looked at him. "What?"
"You can't tell me you haven't noticed them watching us like hawks for the past couple of weeks." He chuckled as he took another step closer to you. "Did you not want me to kiss you, y/n?"
You took a step back, your heels meeting the wall behind you as he stepped in front of you. "I, uh-"
Jeonghan watched you stumble over your words with a grin on his face. He cupped your face in his hands and leaned down closer to you. "Just tell me, and I won't."
You didn’t even try to open your mouth to deny it, because even though it would have repercussions, you didn’t care. You wanted to feel his lips on yours.
He cupped your face in his hands as he leaned down to softly press his lips against yours. The air in your lungs was stolen as you kissed him back just as softly. Your lips moved together as he moved one of his hands to the base of your neck to pull away slowly. He pressed one move soft kiss to your lips before pulling away completely.
“We should probably get back inside.” He said softly. “They’re gonna start wondering where we are.”
Your mind was in a haze, but everything quickly registered when he took a step back to turn around. You grabbed his wrist, making his stop in his tracks. “You can’t kiss me like that and just walk away!”
He turned his head back around to look at you, the smirk on his lips telling you he knew exactly what he was doing.
You scoffed before you grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him forward, crashing your lips together. This time the kiss was more passionate- as well as heated. His hands instantly trailed down to your waist to pull you flush against him while yours went to the base of his neck to deepen the kiss.
Your lips crashed against his feverishly. All of the pent up feelings the two of you had were letting themselves be known through the heated kiss. His fingers gripped your waist tightly as if he thought you were going to run away at any given moment.
Pulling away first, you looked him in the eyes as you tried to catch your breath. "I could get fired."
It was now hitting you. The risks you were taking could tear down everything you’ve worked so hard for, but in this moment you didn’t really care about you. You were more worried about him.
"I can keep a secret." He smirked down at you, pulling you back in for another kiss. You kissed him a couple more times before pulling away, but he refused to keep his lips off of you. You shivered as his lips trailed down your neck, leaving soft kisses against your skin.
"Hannie." You said breathlessly. His fingers dig deeper at the use of his nickname. "Are you sure about this?"
There was so much at the risk of your relationship. Both of your jobs and reputations were on the line. You liked your job, but you could always find another one at another company. With your resume it would be easy. But him being in an open relationship could cause harm to not only him, but the rest of his group as well.
He finally pulled away from your neck and placed his hands against the wall behind you. He looked at you with such care in his eyes it almost made you melt. "You're worth it."
You smiled at him before pressing your forehead against his. He trailed one of his hands down your arms until he could intertwine his hand with yours.
The sound of the door opening made you jump slightly, for you had forgotten that you were in a public area, but thankfully nobody could see you unless they came through the door.
"Hey Jeong- never mind you two look busy. " The voice stopped, making you hide you face in the crook of Jeonghans neck. He snickered at your embarrassed state as he wrapped his arms around you.

Walking in the Wind • Xu Minghao
Summary: Goodbyes are hard, especially when you have to depart from the love of your life
Words: 1.9K
Warnings: none, unedited
Genre: Idol AU, angst
Pairing: Xu Minghao x BSF! Reader
"You will find me in places we've never been."
Geoffrey Chaucer once said that 'all good things must come to an end', but you didn't like to believe that. You wanted to believe that good things were supposed to last. You didn't like the idea of your good things having to depart from you. It made you feel uneasy.
These days you found it hard to not believe him given the circumstances you were facing. You were on your way to your boarding gate, to which you’d fly across the world.
Your best friend Minghao nudged you as you got closer. “You’ve got everything, right?”
Hoisting your carry on up on you shoulder, you nodded at him. “Yep.”
“Text me when you land, okay?”
You rolled your eyes. “Yes Hao.”
“I’m only looking out for you!”
You giggled as he crossed his arms over his chest. “I know.”
Of course you knew that. He was your best friend of five years. You always looked out for one another, but in different ways. He’d make sure you were sleeping properly to keep you from falling too deep into your studies, and in return you’d make sure he eats well while he was busy practicing for their latest comeback. You balanced one another out.
Everyone thought the two of you were dating at first glance, but you were quick to reassure them that the two of you were nothing more than close friends. Even if it’s not exactly what you wanted, you’d go along with it. For the sake of him, and his group members.
Fans weren’t too big on their idols dating, and the companies were always quick to enforce to no dating rule. If they got caught in a relationship several things could happen. The idol would be forced to terminate the relationship, and if they refused they could be forced to leave the group they were in. It was terrible, but that’s the price to pay when becoming an idol
You couldn't ask Minghao to risk not only his career, but his member’s career for you. Your feelings weren't worth all of that. You thought it would’ve been easy to get over the feelings for him, but after two years you were proven just how wrong you were to think such a thing. You still loved him, probably even more than you did before.
The two of you could’ve kept it a secret, but what's the point if you couldn't tell the world just how much you loved Minghao. Not that you would've been public about your relationship anyways, but the two of you wouldn't have been able to go on dates or simply walk around with one another. You would've been forced into a relationship of secrecy, and that didn’t sit well with you.
So, you loved him in your mind.
You were fine with it; loving him from afar. Your friendship wasn't a secret, not at all. His fans knew about you, and they knew that’s exactly all you were. You’d keep your feelings at bay if that meant keeping him in your life.
Minghao fixed the hat on his head, making sure to keep his red hair from being broadcasted to the people in the airport by pulling the hood of his hoodie over the top of his hat. One person could recognize him and ruin the sweet goodbye the two of you had planned.
“Are you excited?” He asked, turning his eyes to meet yours. “A new chapter begins.”
You shrugged softly. “It just sucks you won't be a part of it.”
“What?” He said quickly. “Of course I will! You’re not getting rid of me that easy.”
“It won't be the same.” You sighed. “I’ll be seeing you through a phone screen instead of in person.”
“You talk like this is gonna be the last time we see each other.” He reached forward to grab you by the shoulders gently. “Y/n, this isn’t goodbye.”
“It sure feels like it.” You muttered. Your flight number was called for boarding, and you swore your heart stopped beating for a second. In just a few moments, you’d be saying goodbye to the love of your life. Who knows when you'd see him again. Both of your schedules are about to get hectic- even more so than they already were.
You had to tell him. You had to tell him that you were in love with him. It’s been two years you’ve been holding this to yourself, and you had to let it out before you left. It would make it easier. At least, you hoped it would.
“Hao.” You said softly. “You remember when we promised not to keep secrets from each other?”
His eyebrows furrowed, but he nodded softly. “Yeah.”
“I’m in love with you.” Your eyes met the ground instantly. “I have been for-”
“I know.” He cut you off. Your eyes snapped to meet his, and you didn’t need to look under his mask to see the sweet smile on his lips. How can you be the one confessing to him, yet you were the one left speechless.
Seems like you weren’t the only one keeping a secret.
“Your timing is quite awful.”
“You know?” The shock was clear in your features. “What do you mean ‘You know’?”
He chuckled at your reaction. You looked adorable with your widened eyes and your quiet stuttering. “It’s not like you hid them well. Although I can’t say anything about it. I didn’t hide my own feelings all that well either.”
“You.. feel the same?” Your features softened as his own eyes crinkled, signaling another smile.
“Of course I do.” He reached forward to grab your hand gently, rubbing his thumb alongside your hand. "I always have."
“Then why didn’t you say anything?”
This was the first time his eyes left you and moved to the floor as he sighed. “I’ve witnessed first hand what happens to idols dating. It's terrifying to know that everything could be taken from me so easily. I didn't want to risk losing everything- losing you.”
He squeezed you hand tightly. “And for me to ask you to run around in secret, unable to tell the world that we were together, it would've been selfish of me.”
You held his face in your right hand, his mask separating your skin from his. “I would’ve risked everything for you.”
And he would've done the same, but the harsh truth was that since he was in a group, he had to think about more than just his own feelings. He had to take him member's into account, and how it would affect them if the two of you were caught.
"But I understand." And you did. You knew he would've worried about his friends- his family- and how it would hurt them if he was forced to leave the group, or even how it would affect him having to break up with you.
Minghao leaned into your touch. “Why would you drop this on me now?”
“Call it false hope.” You shrugged. "I was hoping once I let it out I'd be able to move on."
"And?"
"Didn't work out how I thought it would."
Another call for your flight was announced, and that was when it finally hit you. You were about to leave the love of your life, and you weren't sure when you'd see him again. It was different now, knowing he felt the same as you. You wanted to hit yourself for letting it happen.
"I should go." You held your breath, trying to keep the tears from falling down. Your hand fell back to your side.
He noticed the tears in your eyes, and he squeezed your hand once more. "I'll be by your side, any time you're needing me."
You nodded before pulling your hand from his and turning to walk away. A single tear rolled down your face, and you were quick to wipe it off.
Before you could take another step, Minghao grabbed your hand and pulled you back towards him so he could place his lips on yours. It wasn't how you always imagined it to be. You never thought your first kiss with him could possibly be your last.
You melted into the kiss, and you couldn't stop the tears from falling anymore. He held you close, as if you'd run away at any given moment, but if you could you'd stay in his arms forever.
You were forced to pull away from him when the last call for your flight echoed through the building. Minghao held your face so softly in his hands, and his eyes moved over every inch of your face.
"Call me when you land, yeah?"
You nodded once more and he leaned forward to press a single kiss to your forehead before lifting his mask over his mouth once more and stepping back.
He watched as you turned around, letting the tears flow freely down your face. You took that first step away, and you could slowly feel your chest tightening as you stepped further away from him and closer to the plane.
You may have left for America, but your heart stayed in Korea.

Make me - yoon jeonghan
Summary: You and Jeonghan didn't exactly hate each other, you just enjoyed teasing the other any chance you get.
Words: 1.2K
Pairing: Yoon Jeonghan x Reader
Warning: nothing really. just reader and jeonghan being giant flirts. some curse words.
-
"How the fuck is that a clown?"
"It's not my fault your brain can't function and take note of the giant red nose and huge shoes."
"That's the ugliest clown I've ever seen."
"Thanks, I used your face as a reference."
The rest of your friends groaned at your bickering. They were used to it, even amused at first, but now it was getting tiring. The tension between the two of you was thick, and everyone but the two of you could see the want you had for one another.
Seungcheol groaned as he leaned back into the couch. "Would you two just fuck and get it over with? We're tired of your constant bickering."
"As if I'd be caught dead with her." Jeonghan sent a glare over at the older male before sending one your way.
You returned his gesture with a sarcastic smile. "At least we can agree on one thing."
"Can we just move on?" Joshua suggested. As the sweet one of your friend group, it was his job to try and get the two of you to behave. As his best friend, you huffed and did as he suggested.
You weren't sure how Joshua became friends with the demon, but for some reason they clicked, and now you were forced to hang out with him every time Joshua wanted you to hang out with him. You'd thought about denying to invitation, but he was your best friend and you missed him. As adults, your schedules mixed up and you never got the time to hang out like old times. You'd take what you could get, even if you had to deal with Jeonghan and his aggravating ass.
"Who's next?" Aecha asked. Jeonghan sighed and stood up. He walked over to the giant blank canvas and began to draw the first thing that came to his mind.
It wasn't the worst drawing really, but it could've been a lot better. You couldn't tell if it was supposed to be some kind of animal or an alien.
"And you shit on my picture?" You chastised, crossing your arms as you watched him furrow his eyebrows to finish.
"I'm almost done." He hushed you as he finished his picture. He stepped to the side, letting the four of you get a good look at his picture. "You'll never get it."
"Because it sucks and we can't figure it out?"
"Y/n.." Joshua groaned, knowing what was about to happen once more. It was like the two of you to argue every chance you got. Some would think you lived to annoy one another.
"Only joking 'Shua." A lie You were being totally honest.
Jeonghan smirked at you. "She's just mad because my zombie was too complex for her small brain."
"Oh, is that what it was? A zombie?" You took another glimpse over at the drawing. "I guess in a way it does look dead."
"Are you two really doing this again?" Seungcheol whined. He groaned when the two of you continued arguing and stood up. "I'm done. I'm going to get food."
Joshua and Aecha quickly stood up and began to follow him out of the apartment to leave the two of you in your argument. Neither of you even noticed they had gone until you turned around.
"Joshua would you please-" You paused mid sentence. "What the fuck? This is your fault."
"My fault?" Jeonghan repeated. "How is this my fault?"
"You insulted my drawing for no reason."
"It's not my fault your clown looked like a poodle!" He argued, crossing his arms over his chest.
He loomed over you, but you stood your ground. "God, you're insufferable. Do you get off on arguing or something?"
"No, you're just too easy to mess with sweetheart." Jeonghan chuckled. "Don't flatter yourself. You're the last person I think about."
It was your turn to smirk. "I never said you thought about me Jeonghan."
The tension in the room became thick once more, but it was different than before. There was a certain aura that made the both of you feel hot.
"You know what I meant."
"Do you think about me Jeonghan?" You took a step closer to him, waltzing around his patronizingly. "You do, don't you."
You were getting a thrill on being the upper hand in the situation. Normally he'd have you red in the face, but now it was his turn. You stepped back in front of him, watching as he tensed slightly.
"Shut up."
You clicked your tongue, deciding to push him further. "Make me."
You tilted your head and he scoffed. "Okay, you asked for it."
Within seconds his lips were on yours, and you made no attempts to push him off. His hands gripped your hips roughly as he pulled you closer to him, deepening the kiss. You weren't entirely sure why, but you found yourself kissing him back at the same pace. Your fingers grabbing at the longer parts of his hair in the back. You pulled softly, eliciting a positive reaction from him.
You pulled away from him. "I'll take that as a yes."
"I said-" He pushed you against the wall behind you. "Shut up."
His lips were back on yours, and you felt yourself slowly succumbing to the want you'd been pushing away for months. You trailed one of your hands down his chest to feel his rapid heartbeat through his shirt. Smirking into the kiss, you opened your mouth to let him explore you further. Turns out his mouth was good at more than just arguing.
He pulled his lips from yours to trail kisses down your neck, making your breath hitch. And just like that, the tables had turned once more. You hated how he could affect you in such a way, but maybe Seungcheol was right. Maybe it was more that just hatred you felt for one another.
"Not so bold now, are you?" He asked between kisses. One of his hands was on the top of your ass, and the other was at the base of your neck to keep you in place. "I tend to have that affect on people."
"Shut up." You couldn’t believe you’d let yourself get distracted in such a way that made him think you were speechless.
"Ooh. Make me, sweetheart."

TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY • Choi Yeonjun
Summary: Choi Yeonjun was a naturally flirty person, or so you thought. As it turns out you were just to dense to realize he had been flirting with you for the past six months.
Words: 2.6K
Genre: straight fluff
Pairing: Choi Yeonjun x Reader
Warnings: none.
“Truly, madly, deeply, I am foolishly, completely falling.”
-
You always loved winter, especially when it snows. The way the white snow falls to the ground so gracefully makes you feel as if your living in a hallmark movie. The only downside was you couldn’t feel your hands or your nose, but it was the price you were willing to pay.
“You look like rudolph.”
You looked over at Yeonjun, rolling you eyes at the small grin on his lips. He loved to tease you. He was a flirt, but you enjoyed his presence.
“It’s cold!” You exclaimed, nudging him slightly. “And I forgot my scarf at home.”
The two of you were heading over to a friends house for a small get together. Soobin had just bought his first house, so of course he invited all of you over for a movie night and some drinks.
Yeonjun lived close by you. He offered to walk with you to your shared friends house to keep you company. You couldn’t refuse. Walking somewhere was always better when you had a friend to talk to.
“Do you want mine?” He asked, already moving the dark brown scarf from around his neck.
You shook you head. “No thanks. I’ll be fine. We’re not too far away anyway.”
“Come on, you could get sick.”
“And so could you.”
Yeonjun pursed his lips, but his eyes lit up as the two of you walked passed a clothing store. He told you to stay put for a second while he ran inside to grab something. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, but did as asked.
Placing your hands in your pockets, you let the small heating packs in each pocket heat your hands up as best as they could. You looked up at the snow, watching with a smile as it fell all around you.
Yeonjun returned a couple of minutes later, a light gray scarf in his hands. He walked up to you, placing it over your shoulders. He made sure to bundle it up around you to keep you warm.
Before you could say anything, he gave you a smile. “There. Now we’re both warm and safe from getting sick.”
“You didn’t have to do that.”
He pulled the scarf tighter around you, making sure your nose was covered so it would warm you up. “I know, but I didn’t want you to be cold.”
He leaned forward, pressing his lips to the only bit of skin you had showing. His lips were warm against your cheek, and you wished he hadn’t pulled away so quickly.
He was like this all the time. You didn’t question it. You just thought he was a natural flirty person, and besides, it’s not like you didn’t like it. Your heart fluttered every time he done something like that, and you couldn’t help but yearn for more.
Yeonjun’s pulled away when his phone began to ring. He pulled it out of his pocket and answered. “Hello?”
You couldn’t really hear the other person on the end, just this side of the conversation. “Yeah… We’ll be there soon… Dude we’re almost at your place… Not our fault you decided to move on the other side of town… See you in a minute.”
By the sounds of it, it was Soobin wondering where the two of you were. Yeonjun hung the phone us and turned back to you.
“Soobin. Everyone’s already there and waiting for us.”
“We bette get going before they drink everything.” You said jokingly. You grabbed Yeonjuns arm to pull him along down the sidewalk once more. You tried to ignore the way your heart picked up at the close proximity. Maybe movie nights would help distract you from these feeling for a bit.
It wouldn’t.
-
“Hurry up!”
You couldn’t help the laugh that escaped your throat as Yeonjun pulled you towards his house. It was the day after Soobin’s get together, and the two of you were heading home. Unfortunately, as soon as you rounded the corner to head toward home it started storming. There was no more beautiful snow like yesterday, only cloudy skies and rain.
He didn’t hesitate to take off towards his house, pulling you along with him. His place was closer, and he didn’t want you walking in the rain.
Once the two of you were inside, he helped you take off your coat before removing his own. He placed them both on the coat rack as you discarded your hat and scarf.
You crossed your arms, trying to warm yourself up, but it wasn’t helping that much. Your pants were wet and it was keeping you cold. Yeonjun took note of the way you were shivering.
“You want some clothes?”
You snapped your head in his direction. You had never borrowed a guys clothes before. Sure you had borrowed Beomgyus and Kais hoodies before, but that was it. It was just a hoodie. Borrowing a full set of clothes felt a little intimate to you, but Yeonjun didn’t seem to falter at the idea of sharing his clothes with you.
You shook the thoughts out of your head. You’d have to think about it when you got warm. “Sure, if you don’t mind.”
He shot you a smile before walking towards his room. You had been over to his place a couple of times, but never alone. It felt somewhat awkward being here without Yuqi or Taehyun.
He came back with a shirt and a pair of sweatpants in his hands. “They might be a little big, but they should work until your clothes get dry.”
“Thank you.” He nodded as you walked passed him and towards the bathroom. As soon as the door shut you quickly stripped yourself of your clothes. The heat touched your cold body, making you let out a comet sigh.
The sweatpants weren’t that big. You had to roll the band up to get them to stay in place on your hips. The shirt was bigger than you expected. It must’ve been one of his oversized shirts, because it slid past your hips and to mid thigh.
You looked at yourself in the mirror. You looked a mess. Damp hair and rosy red cheeks. You tried to comb through your hair with your fingers to try and make it somewhat presentable, but you gave up halfway through.
You walked back out of the bathroom to find Yeonjun sitting on the couch. He had already changed clothes and was flipping through channels on the tv. Upon hearing the door open he looked up, and he swore at the sight of you his heart almost stopped.
He thought you looked beautiful in anything you wore, but there was something about seeing you in his clothes that made his heart race.
Ha patted the seat beside him, and you happily sat down. "What were you gonna watch?"
"I don't know. You wanna watch a movie? It'll give your clothes enough time to dry."
You shrugged your shoulders. "Sure, why not."
He took the clothes out of your hands and replaced them with the remote. You flipped through the movies, deciding to pick a random movie that looked somewhat good. You didn't press play until Yeonjun was seated next to you again.
At first you had your full attention on the movie, but your mind began to wonder when the main character began to confess his love for his female friend.
Your eyes traveled to the boy next to you and you couldn't help but wonder if he ever felt the same way about you.
When the now couple began to kiss, you cleared your throat. "Thanks for not making me walk home in the rain."
"Why would I do that?" He asked, turning his attention to you instead of the movie. He looked at you with furrowed eyebrows, almost as if he was insulted you'd even think he'd do something like that.
"You'd be surprised at what some guys would do." You told him with a soft chuckle. "One of my exes and I had a fight, and he sent me home in the pouring rain."
Yeonjun's eyes darkened slightly, and he turned his eyes to his lap. "Some guys are assholes."
"But not you." You reached over to grab his hand, making him eye you once more.
"I'd never do that to you."
You leaned your head on his shoulder, your eyes traveling back to the tv to try and finish the movie. "I know you wouldn't."
Your eyes began to get heavy, and it wasn't until you started to feel the heat from him did you realize just how exhausted you were. Staying up all night and waking up early takes a toll on someone.
When the movie ended, Yeonjun glanced over at you, only to find you sound asleep on his shoulder. He smiled at your peaceful face.
"Y/N?" He whispered softly, gently nudging you to get your attention. "It's already late, do you just want to sleep over?"
You nodded as an answer. He wrapped one of his arms around your back and the other under your knees. He stood up with ease, carrying you to his bedroom. He mentally thanked himself for cleaning up earlier that week. He didn't need you to see his room in it's normal mess.
He placed you on the bed and pulled the blankets over you. When he turned to leave, you reached a hand out to grab his. "Stay."
"What?" He asked. He wanted to make sure he heard you correctly.
"I don't want to run you out of your bed. Besides, It's cold and you're warm."
He nervously glanced around the room. "Are you sure?"
You nodded once again. Opening one eye to look at him, you gave him a smile for reassurance. "Yep."
You scooted over and patted the spot next to you. Yeonjun let out a small breath before getting in bed beside you. He pulled the blankets back over the two of you.
As the two of you slowly fell asleep, neither of you could control the way your hearts raced at the close proximity.
-
The next morning, Yeonjun woke up first. The sunlight peeping through his blinds hit his eye, and he groaned at the contact. His annoyance quickly went away when he felt you stir from beside him. With a quick glance he found you were a lot closer than when he went to sleep last night. Instead of on the opposite side of the bed, you were snuggling into his chest.
His heart began to race, and he only hoped you couldn’t hear it beating inside his chest. Instead of waking you up, and probably embarrassing you, he slid out of the bed easily so he wouldn’t disturb you.
Yeonjun moved to the kitchen to prepare a quick breakfast for the two of you. He wasn't the best cook, but he knew the basics and could cook simple meals.
The smell of the food woke you up, and you were out of the bed and in the kitchen within minutes. Yeonjuns eyes met yours, and he couldn’t contain the smile upon seeing your morning face.
Your hair was tousled, and the clothes he gave you were somewhat twisted around, indicating you moved around in your sleep a good bit. In short terms; he though you looked absolutely adorable.
“Good morning.” He greeted you, settling the two plates on the small table in the small dining area. “I made breakfast.”
“Good Morning.” You returned the smile. "It smells good."
"I hope it tastes as good as it smells." Yeonjun said truthfully. He pulled your chair out before moving to his own seat across from you.
Looking down at the dish, you chuckled at the simplicity of it. It was nothing more than pancakes and eggs, but that was your favorite. Whether he realized that, you had no idea.
Luckily for Yeonjun, the breakfast did taste as good as it smelled. The apartment fell quiet as the two of you ate your breakfast in peace.
It wasn't long before you found yourself walking outside once more, this time one the way to your house. Yeonjun walked beside you. He offered to walk you home, even though you told him there was no need. He had done enough for you already, but he persisted.
The two of you walked along the sidewalk, coming up to a small park. A couple of children could be heard laughing as they ran around playing tag.
"Thanks again, for letting me stay over last night." You spoke up for the first time since leaving his apartment.
Yeonjun looked over at you, the beautiful smile still gracing his lips. "Of course. My door's always open for you."
He always knew what to say to make your heart flutter. You turned away to try and hide the blush on his cheeks. "Thanks, but why?"
He shrugged, confusing you. You half expected him to have a flirty comeback, but he continued to walk, keeping his hands in his pockets. "I care about you. Probably more than I should."
The last part was more of a whisper, but you still caught it. You stopped walking, grabbing his arm to keep him beside you.
"Huh?"
His eyes widened, almost as if he wasn't supposed to say that out loud. He sighed, knowing you had heard him. This was not how he pictured confessing to you, but it was now or never. "Y/n, I'm pretty sure I'm in love with you."
His hand reached out to caress the side of your face. You could only stare up at him in shock as he looked at you with such adoring eyes. "Truly, madly, and deeply in love with you."
His thumb brushed your cheek as he waited for you to say something- anything. His heart was already racing, but your silence was making it worse. "Y/n-"
"I'm just trying to process this." You told him quickly. You pointed at him. "You, love me?"
It was kind of hard to believe truly. A guy as sweet and flirty like Yeonjun was in love with you? He could have anyone he wanted.
"I absolutely do."
"Since when?"
He furrowed his eyebrows, somewhat amused at your rapid fire questions. "Couple months now."
You gasped, reaching over to smack him softly on the arm. "Why didn't you say anything?"
He had been in love with you for months and he didn’t say anything? So all of those times girls were flirting with him you were on his mind? The idea alone made your heart race.
He grabbed the arm you hit, laughing. "I didn't know if you felt the same way."
"I've let you endlessly flirt with me since we've met!" You exclaimed, looking at his with wide eyes. You were somewhat shocked he didn't already know.
"Well, why didn't you say anything?" He asked you, making you fall silent. You didn't want to admit it, because out loud it would sound stupid and you'd be embarrassed.
"Well..." You trailed off. He looked at you expectingly, making you sigh in defeat. "Okay fine. Girls are always flirting with you, and you always flirt back. How was I supposed to tell you that I loved you if you were flirting with other girls?"
"Say it again."
"What?"
You finally turned to face him as he cupped your face once more. "Say it again."
Your eyes met his, and you knew what he was talking about. He wanted you to confess to him again. He wanted to hear it once more.
"I love you, Yeonjun."
His lips met yours in an instant, your confession being the confirmation he needed to finally place his lips on yours. The kiss was short, but it was filled with everything the two of you wanted to say for months, but never could.
He pulled away when he realized the two of you were in a public place- a park no less. He trailed his hand from your and down your arm, straight to your hand. Your fingers laced with his as he spoke.
"I love you too, Y/n."

You & I - Choi Beomgyu
Summary: After a small slip that drove fans to believe the two of you were dating, you and beomgyu have a choice to make. One that could determine your future together.
Words: 1.1K
Warnings: Angst with a happy ending-ish
Pairing: Choi Beomgyu x GF!Reader
"You and I, we can make it til the end."
' TXT's Choi Beomgyu and soloist l/n, f/n rumored to be dating.'
It was times like these where you'd worry about your relationship. There had been suspicions about the two of you before, but it wasn't anything HYBE couldn't keep under control. This one however would've been harder to lie about.
A picture of the two of you holding onto each other was spreading through the internet, and there was no way to stop the fans from spreading it more. As expected, some were thrilled and others not so much. His MOA's bashed your name while your fans came to your defense. You thought it was ridiculous that they would go to such lengths for people they didn't personally know- to attack strangers over the internet and throw out mindless threats like they were.
It was leaked by a sasaeng of course, which surprised none of you. It was a girl that had been following Tomorrow x Together for a couple of months, and this was her first offense against the group- undoubtedly trying to bring your fame down in the process.
You sat on the couch in your living area space in your home. Your eyes were glued on the tv- where the picture had made the local news. Of course you wouldn't change the past for anything. You loved Beomgyu with your entire heart, and you were willing to risk anything for him, but you didn't want to hurt people in the process of you finding love.
You tried to fight it- you really did, but it didn't work out how you'd hoped. After the two of you did a variety show together you became quick friends. He got close, and he eventually made his way into your heart and you just couldn’t resist him. It had been going well for nearly a year now.
And now because of a Sasaeng it could be taken away from you.
"What am I going to do?" You sighed, placing your head in your hands as you mind raced to try and find a solution. You didn't want the only option for him to be between you or his group, because you'd make it easy for him.
You’d risk anything for him, but you didn’t want him to throw everything he’s worked so hard for away.
Dating in the idol industry was hard. Fans weren't too keen on their idols being in a relationship, but it was even harder for you to keep your feelings at bay. You hated that you had to sacrifice your happiness for the sake of your company and fans. It hardly seemed fair.
You had seen your friends lose their relationships, and you've seen some get kicked out of their groups for being in love with someone. Being a soloist, you didn't have to worry about messing up a groups name, but the same couldn't be said about Beomgyu. Being in a relationship with him meant you had to put his group into the equation as well.
You’d don’t want to be the reason for their downfall, and you refused to let this hurt them.
Your door opened, and Beomgyu walked inside. You stood up quickly, meeting him halfway. He didn't hesitate when it came to taking you into his arms when he saw your worried state. You held him just as tight as if this would be your last time holding him in such a way.
"We're going to figure this out." He promised you softly, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head. He rubbed your head gently to try and ease your nerves.
You pulled back slightly. "You can't make that promise 'Gyu."
"I am." He said once more. His eyes met yours, and you could tell just how determined he was to make sure the situation you two were facing would disappear. "Y/n, we're going to make this work."
"But what if we can't?" He had to of known the risks he was taking in being with you publicly. He was risking his career- his member's careers. He couldn't put you above them. Not when they worked so hard. "Beomgyu, you and the guys have worked too far to let it go because of me."
"I've put in a lot of work- yeah, but I'd give it all up if I had to."
Your heart sunk at the realization of how much this boy loved you. You didn't deserve him, and you didn't deserve the love he offered you. "Beomgyu, I love you more than anything, but you can't hurt them like that. They need you."
"If they care about me, then they'd understand." He muttered. "Besides, you're talking as if we've been given bad news."
You scoffed at his optimism. "Your fans want my head on a stake. I highly doubt there will be good news about this.'
He pulled you close once more. "They'll get over it. I'm meeting with the ceo in a little bit to discuss what we're going to do. Namjoon is going with me to try and convince them."
If only the two of yo could be so lucky.
“Beomgyu are you sure you want to do this?” You questioned. "We've seen how this works out with other idols. What if-"
He placed a finger over your lips to quiet you. "But that’s not us. We won't give up that easily, right?'
You removed his hand from your face before you nodded softly. "I guess you're right."
"Of course I am." He scoffed, rolling his eyes playfully. "I usually am."
Even though you could remember countless of times where he was in fact wrong, you decided to let him have this one. He made you feel better, and even though you still didn't think it was a good idea, you decided to go through with it. For him and for you.
He leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to your lips. "Nothing can come between you and I, understand?"

NIGHT CHANGES • Lee Chan
Summary: You and Chan have been friends for years. Thing's slowly progress between you as the two of you grow up together.
Words: 2.4K
Warnings: some cursing.
Pairing: Lee Chan x BEST FRIEND!Reader
Genre: College au, f2l, non idol au, mutual pining.
"Even when the night changes, it'll never change me and you."
-
You were always a quiet child. You weren't around other kids a lot, so starting school was a bit scary to your five year old mind. The other kids were quick to become friends, but you were too scared to approach them. Nobody even spared a glance in your direction, all of them thinking you were just a weird quiet girl. That was until recess.
A boy your age approached you with a big smile on his lips. "Hello!"
You eyed him, surprised that someone was actually talking to you. The only person that tried to talk to you so far was your teacher, and now him. "Hi.."
"I'm Chan!"
This boy was so full of energy, and he was so kind. You smiled at him, standing up to shake his hand. "I'm y/n."
"You and I should be friends." He concluded. You gave him a confused look, but you couldn't help the little smile that appeared on your lips.
"Why?"
"Because you're sitting alone, and everyone should have friends." He informed you with a know it all tone. "Now come on y/n. Let's go play on the swing set!"
You were after him within seconds, chasing him to the swing set where you'd push one another until it was time to go back inside. Lee Chan was your first friend, and you were glad to have met him.
-
"Okay!"
Eleven years later and you found yourself as a second year in high school. You were at a party, a part of a circle that was playing truth or dare. It was something Chan pulled you into, and you weren't complaining. You were having a great time.
Years after meeting Chan, he was able to pull you out of your shy state and now you could hold a conversation with just about anyone. You made friends rather easily, and it was nice to have some shared friends with your best friend.
"Changbin." Chaeyoung called out, pointing over at the aspiring musician. "Truth or dare."
He thought for a moment. "Truth."
"Lame!" Chaeyoung rolled her eyes. "Okay, if you had to date anyone in the circle, who would it be?"
This time, he didn't hesitate. "Jung Wooyoung!"
Wooyung cheered, making the rest of you laugh. They reached across the circle to dap each other before returning to their seats.
Gahyun snickered at them. "Okay, who's next Yeonjun?"
His eyes scanned the circle before they landed on you. "Y/n."
You felt your nerves beginning to act up. So far, Wooyoung had to run down the road naked, Gahyun had to explain the first time she had sex. Either way they’d embarrass you, but the liquor coursing through your body eased your mind. It couldn’t be that bad, right?
“Uh.. truth?”
“No!” Gahyun whined. “That’s so boring. do dare.”
“You chose truth.”
Gahyun scoffed. “Only because I know Wooyoung would’ve made me run outside naked.”
“That’s fair.” You shrugged. Your eyes glanced at Chan. He nodded encouragingly. “Fine. Dare.”
Changbin gave you a smirk and you instantly regretted your decision. There was no backing out of it now. “I dare you to kiss Yeonjun.”
Your wide eyes snapped over to Yeonjun, who was staring over at Changbin with a confused look on his face. You felt Chan stiffen from beside you, probably because he knew you hadn’t had your first kiss yet.
“Uh..” You stood up, your eyes on the ground. “If he’s cool with it I guess.”
It wasn’t a terrible dare. She could’ve gotten a worse one, but she didn’t mind this one a bit.
Yeonjun stood up too. The two of you met in the middle of the circle. “Are you cool with this?”
“It’s just a kiss.” You shrugged once more, trying to play it off as no big deal. However, you were freaking out on the inside. Yeonjun was definitely attractive, and he was wanted by most girls in school. You were one of those girls. You dreamt of dating him. You’ve dreamt of kissing him, but it was really about to happen.
Yeonjun placed his fingers on your chin, lifting your head so you’d look at him. “You sure?”
It was almost as if he knew about this being your first kiss, but there was no way he could. You only told Chan about it, and Chan would never spill your deepest darkest secrets to anyone. Yeonjun was just being a gentlemen.
You nodded, and the two of you met in the middle to kiss one another. His free arm snuck around your waist to pull you closer as the cheers filled your ears. You wondered if he could feel your heart trying to beat out of your chest.
Chan watched silently while the others cheered for the two of you. He couldn’t explain it, but seeing you so close to someone else made his chest tighten. He didn’t like the way Yeonjun was holding you flush against him while your lips danced together.
Why was he suddenly feeling these things? You were his best friend. He should be happy that you were getting to experience your first kiss. But here he was, fighting the urge to pull the two of you apart and take you home.
What seemed like an eternity later, the two of you pulls apart.m, both a blushing mess. You stepped back over to sit beside him, covering your face in his arm. Chan wasn’t aware of his feelings at the time, but he was sure something was going on with him.
-
“I can’t believe him!” You exclaimed, throwing your phone across the room. Chan’s eyes widened as you threw yourself into him. Your arms went around his waist as you cried into his chest. The only thing he could do was hold you, rubbing your back in a comforting manner.
“What happened?”
You had just gotten to his apartment in a rage. He barely had time to read the break up text from Juyeon. You two had been dating for around two years now, and Chan thought things were going good between you and him. Turns out he may have been wrong.
"Two years!' You scoffed. "He waited two years to tell me he wasn't ready for commitment. It's not like I was expecting him to get down on one knee, but the asshole could at least keep his dick in his pants."
This caught Chan's attention. "He cheated on you?"
"With Hana!"
"Why would he?"
You loosened your hold around his waist, sitting up sightly to stare at him in the eyes. "He thought I was sleeping with you."
"W-" Chan sputtered out. "Why the fuck would he think that?"
You gave him a look, and he quickly understood. It wouldn't be the first time a guy dumbed you because they thought you were a little too friendly with Chan. You didn't care, because he was all you needed in the end. He came before any other guy out there.
"I'm sorry."
He wouldn’t lie to himself. Part of him was relieved he broke up with you. He wished it would’ve been under better circumstances, but he never liked Juyeon. He was a well known player around campus. He wasn’t good for you.
Chan was well aware of his feelings for you, and he tried to stop them. There was just no denying them anymore. Not when you held him in such a way.
You looked at him and blinked. "Why are you sorry? He's the one that cheated on me."
"And he's an idiot for doing so." Chan brought you back in for another hug. He enjoyed the embrace while he could, because he knew he wouldn't get the chance for much longer.
He wanted to tell you how he felt, but every time he got the courage to some guy asked you out, and you being too kind to ignore them you always said yes.
You were beginning to think you were looking for the wrong guy. At this point, you weren't going to find anyone who wasn't threatened by Chan. The way you were always attached to his side whenever you went out with him, or the way you weren't afraid to sleep beside him drew them away.
If only they knew about the way your heart raced when he pulled you closer at night, or the way he left you breathless by doing the simple things like bringing you flowers on a bad day. It reminded you of a conversation Seoho and you had a while back.
"It's like you're dating Chan and not your actual boyfriend."
You spared a glance in your coworkers direction. He was too busy making an iced latte to see your confused face. "How so?"
"Well for one, Chan's the one that always walks you home." He started.
"It's on his way from his night class."
Seoho gance you a look that called you stupid. "And his apartment is a good twenty minute walk from yours. Besides, walking the girl home is supposed to be the boyfriends job."
"Is that your only argument?" You challenged. Seoho was always ready to talk about how he liked Chan more than Juyeon, and you always listened to what he had to say. It was quite amusing.
"He brings you flowers on a bad day."
"His mom owns a flower shop."
"He's always worried about your well being."
"He's my friend? Shouldn't he?"
"No I mean he's worried worried. Like that time he found out you hadn't eaten and he walked all the way across town to get you food. When was the last time Juyeon did that?"
You sighed, knowing he was right. "Never."
"I'm not telling you that you should dump Juyeon, but you seriously need to stop and take a look around you. You have something good, and it could be better if only you paid attention to it."
"I think you're thinking into it too much."
"You know what I think? I think you do like Chan in that sense. I think you're too scared to try anything with him because you don't want to lose the good friendship you have going on."
No. absolutely not.
"That's why you always have a boyfriend to distract you from your feelings for him. You know Chan's always going to be there for you, that's why you're not worried about the fact that Juyeon is out at a club right now instead of picking you up from work. But he'll always be here."
The door dinged, and Seoho motioned towards it with his head. Chan walked in the cafe, giving the two of you a bright smile.
Oh god.
Seoho's words were making more and more sense as the days passed by. You couldn't believe you tried to push these feelings away, especially if he might feel the same as you.
You could vividly remember when these feelings started, but you were with Juyeon so you would've felt bad about doing anything about it. Now you'd just have to wait and see if they're still there after a few months of being single. Not for your sake, but for his. You didn't want him to think he was some sort of rebound.
"Y/n?" Chan was waving his hand in front of your face, bringing you out of your might. "You still with me?"
You blinked, turning your eyes back to him. "Yeah. Sorry, I kinda dosed off."
"You want to order some food and watch some movies?"
Your heart fluttered at the idea of spending the night with him. You nodded and he pulled his phone out to order the food while you scrolled through Netflix to pick a movie.
-
A couple weeks after you finally understood your feelings for your best friend, you could slowly feel yourself acting different around him. You started worrying more about your appearance around him, and you tried to be more feminine. It didn’t take him long to notice.
A knock on your door pulled you from the marathon of Hello My Twenties. You got off the couch and opened the door, revealing a disheveled looking Chan.
"Are you alright?" He asked, walking into your apartment.
You followed him back into the living area with a confused look on your face. "Yeah, why?"
"You're acting different." He claimed. He turned to face you, his worried eyes boring into yours. "Is your break up with Juyeon affecting you this badly?"
"What? No." You shook your head in disagreement. "It's not that. I'm just confused about things right now."
"You couldn't at least text me to let me know you were okay? I've been worried about you?" Running his hand through his dark hair, he let out a relieved sigh.
You furrowed your eyebrows at his words. "Why?"
"What do you mean why?" He asked, stuttering slightly. "I always worry about you're my.."
He trailed off, unsure if he should actually tell you how he feels or not.
"You're what?" You urged. He stayed silent, making you purse your lips. “Is this why everything thinks you’re my boyfriend?”
He finally lifted his eyes to look at you. "What do you mean?"
"Seoho, Mingyu, Jihyo… think we're dating." You told him. You could feel your heart picking up in speed as you took a step closer to him. “Everywhere we go, people think we’re a couple. All my friends think you have feelings for me."
Chan took a deep breath. It was now or never. "And if I say that I do?"
You swore your heart stopped for a second. Your eyes widened, not expecting him to say that. He actually felt the same way as you? What kind of rom-com were you living?
"I mean, it's obvious. That's why all your boyfriends ended things, right? They knew I have feelings for you, and they knew I could treat you better."
You smiled at him, and his hopes of you feeling the same were high. "Why haven't you said anything before now?"
He shrugged. He put his hands in his pockets. "I haven't found the right timing."
"Channie." You mumbled before closing the gap between you. You grabbed his hand first before you pulled him close to you. Standing on your tip toes, you placed you lips against his in a sweet kiss. Almost instantly, he reciprocated and placed his hands around your waist to pull you flush against him. Your hands were on the back of his neck, pulling him down as much as you could to deepen the kiss.
Kissing Chan wasn’t like kissing your other boyfriends. You could feel the passion and love he felt for you, and you wondered why you had waited so long to accept these feelings.
You two broke apart to breathe. He placed his forehead against yours, rubbing your noses together. "So?"
"So what?"
"Do you feel the same?"
You scoffed. "You think I would've kissed you if I didn't?"
"I wanna hear it, love."
The pet name mixed with his breath fanning your face sent a shiver down your spine. "I really, really like you Channie. More than I should."
It's crazy just how fast things could change, isn't it?

CHANGE MY MIND • Han Jisung
Summary: You and Han Jisung were friends. At least, that’s what you told everyone, but you couldn’t hide your true feelings forever.
Words: 2.3K
Genre: College au, best friends to lovers, fluff
Pairing: Han Jisung x Reader
Warnings: none.
“Baby if you say you want me to stay, I’ll change my mind.”
-
“Pizza delivery!”
Your eyes looked up from your papers, furrowing at the voice echoing through the halls of your dorms. You stood up from your desk to peep through the looking hole. You scoffed when you saw who it was, but you didn’t think drink before opening the door.
“What do you want Jisung?”
The boy quirked an eyebrow at you, holding up a box of pizza so you could see it. “I clearly just said pizza delivery.”
He was still in his uniform, which meant he had just gotten off work. The red shirt looked insanely good of him. Even you couldn’t deny it.
“I didn’t order a pizza.” You told him, leaning against the door frame with your arms crossed. You were toying with him at this point. “Am I gonna have to call your manager and tell her that you’re messing with one of her most loyal customers?”
“Oh yeah, give her a final reason to fire me.” He laughed sarcastically, pushing passed you to enter your dorm room. You giggled as you shut the door behind him. He sat on your bed as you stepped back over to your desk to reclaim your seat.
“You walked all this way just to bring me a pizza?” You questioned, turning your attention over to your notes. You were in the process of organizing them better so it would make it easier for you to study.
He scoffed. “For your information this is an order that was never picked up. We’re about to eat a free pizza Y/n.”
“We always eat free pizza.” You reminded him, sparing a quick glance in his direction. “You never pay.”
“I pay with my hard work.” He opened the box and took a slice from the pie. Taking a bite, he closed his eyes at the taste.
Any normal people would get tired of eating pizza once a week, but not you two. For one, it was free. What college kid wouldn’t enjoy a free meal. And two, it came from one of the best pizza restaurants near your campus.
“Whatcha studying for?”
You didn’t look at him, continuing to write down notes from todays lecture. “My upcoming Psych Exam.”
“What do you even need to study for? You’re the smartest kid in your class.”
Your stomach flipped at the compliment, but you couldn’t show that his words affected you. “You would be wrong. That title goes to Kim Seungmin.”
“Okay, second smartest. You’ve never failed an exam yet.”
“Jisung, did you even stop to think that I pass all my exams because I study?” You snorted as he looked at you with a questioning look.
“Now that you mention it, it does make sense.”
You couldn’t help but laugh at him sometimes. It was crazy, the two of you were so different. You studied all the time, and he never once picked up a pen to write down a single note. You always made sure everything was in place, and he always went with the flow.
You were secretly in love with him, and he just saw you as his best friend.
It was difficult being best friends with Han Jisung and crushing on him at the same time. He was a naturally flirty person, and he knew exactly what to say to make you blush. You swear it was a hobby of his at this point.
“It wouldn’t kill you to study you know.”
You laid back on your bed, staring up at your ceiling. “I try, and I always get bored.”
“So you come over and interrupt my studying?” You clarify, to which he nods. “Don’t you have a roommate you can talk to?”
“Yeah, but he’s always playing games.” The boy whined. “How can I converse with someone who’s more interested in his game than me? You study while I’m here, but you always talk to me.”
“So what i’m hearing is if I ignore you, you’ll go away.” You tried to dodge the pillow being thrown at you, but you weren’t quick enough. You laughed as you picked the soft pillow up, tossing it back at him. “I’m only joking Ji.”
The door opened once more, revealing your roommate. She glanced between the two of you. “Jisung don’t you have your have your own dorm?“
“I did.” He lied, messing with her. “But Felix kicked me out so i’m crashing here.”
“Stay away from my banana milk or i’ll cut your hands off.” Heejin threatened him as she stepped over to her bed. Jisung had slept over a couple of times. Only because he fell asleep while you were studying. You woke him up every time to go back to his own dorm so he could sleep better in his own bed.
Heejin was used to him and this point, and they bickered every now and then. It wasn’t serious. It was nothing more than friendly banter.
“Nah, I’m just playing.” He waved her off with a snicker. “But I should get going.”
He stood up from your bed and over to you to ruffle your hair. “See ya later Y/n. Make sure she eats, Heejin.”
Your roommate shot him a thumbs up. The only time they weren’t bickering was when they were looking at you. They knew you studied a lot, and you sometimes forget to take care of yourself, so they do it for you.
You stared after him , waiting for him to turn around and change his mind. He didn’t. He stopped at the door for a single second before officially leaving.
You sighed and placed your head in your hands. You’d never be able to tell him how you really felt.
-
“I’m capable of walking myself to work Jisung.” You walked in step with your best friend, letting his walk you to the small cafe you worked at every evening.
“Nonsense, it’s on my way to work anyways.” He told you, bumping his shoulder with yours. “Why walk alone when we can walk together?”
You nodded, agreeing to let him walk you to work. You had to problem with it really. The only thing was that your coworkers would surely tease you about him walking you to work.
Jisung opened the door for you, letting you walk into the cafe first. The smell of coffee beans hit your nose and you smiled. You always loved cafes, so you figured the best place for you to work was in fact a cafe.
“I’ll see you later?” He questioned, to which you nodded. He gave you one last smile before exited the shop and continuing down the sidewalk.
You watched him as he disappeared. You began to take your jacket off, and your lingering eyes didn't go unnoticed by your coworkers. “When are you gonna ask him out?”
You jumped at the sound of Sumin’s voice. You turned around to find her and Hyunjin watching you with smirks on their lips. Rolling your eyes, you ignored them and put your apron on to being brewing some more coffee.
“You can’t hide your feelings from him forever.” Hyunjin followed you behind the counter as Sumin moved to the register to take the new costumers order. “Everyone can tell you’re in love with him.”
You sighed. “Everyone but him.”
“I dunno Y/n, it seems to me that he’s just as in love with you.”
“He definitely is.” Sumin joined the conversation. “He walks her to work every day. No guy goes out of his way to walk a girl he doesn’t like to her work.”
“He was on his way to work too.” You told them, not noticing the glance they shared between one another. “So we walked together.”
“Oh he’s definitely in love.” You finally turned to rave them, only to find Sumin grinning at you. “The Pizzeria’s closed today girlie.”
You furrowed your eyebrows, confused as to what she was talking about. “What?”
“I walked by it this morning. They’re having renovations down this weekend.”
You tried to think of a reason as to why Jisung wouldn’t have to just told you that in the first place. Why would he have lied about going to work today.
“Then why’d he tell me he was going to work.”
“Because he didn’t want you to find out he’s in love with you, duh.” Sumin rolled her eyes at your obliviousness. “He’s probably has the whole ‘doesn’t want to change anything between the two of you’ mentality. He wants to make sure you’re taken care of, but he doesn’t want to cross the line.”
You thought back to the memories you shared with him. He was always bringing you food to make sure you ate, and he always walked you to work, and most times he walked you back home too.
“He’s basically your boyfriend, but not your boyfriend.” Hyunjin told you, taking a sip from his smoothie. “The two of you just need to tell each other how you feel.”
"And if I mess up by telling him and it turns out he doesn't feel the same way?" You asked. You wanted to tell him more than anything. If you even thought there was so much as a tiny chance that he felt the same way as you, you'd tell him with no hesitation, but you weren't sure.
Sumin groaned. She placed her hands on your shoulders. "Y/n, the boy is in love with you okay? Anyone can tell by the way he looks at you."
"You need to tell him before it's too late. I have no doubt he feels the same way as you, but nobody can wait forever." Hyunjin told you, leaning against the counter as another customer walked into the cafe. "If you both keeps feeling like the other doesn't feel the same then both of you are going to miss out, and eventually one of you will move on."
He move on to handle the customer, leaving you to your thoughts. They were right. If you didn't tell him soon he could actually believe you didn't feel the same way, and he would have to move on, and as selfish as it was, you didn't want that.
-
"Jesus Christ!"
Jisung yelped as a jumpscare popped up on the projector screen. It was a couple days after your coworkers knocked some sense into you, and even though you knew they were right you still had a little trouble knowing when the time was right.
He held onto your arm, halfway hiding behind your shoulder. The two of you were sitting beside one another on your bed, watching a horror movie on the wall above Heejin's bed. She was out for the night with her boyfriend, so the two of you used her absence as a chance for a movie night.
You didn't think the movie was that scary, but Jisung was always a wimp when it came to anything remotely scary. You thought it was adorable, so you didn't mind the way he clung to you as if his life depended on it.
By the time the movie was over and the bowl of popcorn was empty, you could feel your arm beginning to get sore from the way he was still clutching onto you. "Jisung, you can let go now."
You didn't want him to, but the hold he had on you was beginning to hurt. You knew he didn't mean to hurt you, so you said it as nice as possible.
He blinked, finally turning away from the end credits. "Oh, my bad."
"You still don't do horror movies well?" It was an obvious answer, but you could never pass up the opportunity to tease him.
He rolled his eyes playfully at you. "Ha, ha."
Snickering at his antics, you moved over to place the bowl on your desk and stood up to brush your clothes off. He followed in your footsteps, dusting the little bits of popcorn off of him. It didn't matter to you, because you needed to sweep the floor anyways.
"Well that was frightening, but fun nonetheless." He smiled at you, making your chest warm up. He reached over to pick something out of your hair. "You have a piece of popcorn-"
He cut himself short as his eyes met yours. The piece of popcorn fell as his fingers found themselves toying with your hair. You glanced over every inch of his face, and just when you thought he was going to lean in the music from the main menu of the movie started playing.
The two of you jumped, and you were quick to cut the projector off using the remote on your desk. He cleared his throat, stepping away from you. "I should get going."
You watched as he stepped over to the door, but before he could open it you grabbed his hand. "Don't go."
He stilled at your words. You tugged on his hand, urging him to turn around to face you once more. He did so, his eyes instantly meeting yours again. "Stay."
He stepped back over to you, his hand moving up to caress the side of your face. "You really want me to stay?"
His eyes moved from your lips back to your eyes. You nodded, giving him the confirmation he needed to lean in once more, this time getting to place his lips on yours uninterrupted.
The kiss was soft, but it was full of everything the two of you wanted to say to each other, but never could. Your hands moved to his neck as his other hand moved to your waist.
You pulled away, opening your eyes to stare at him in awe. His lips twitched, turning into a grin so adorable you couldn't help but smile along with him.
Neither of you said a thing as he wrapped his arms around your shoulders to pull you in closer. You wrapped your arms around his waist and snuggled into him, taking in the smell of popcorn off of him. His chin rested on the top of your head as he swayed you softly, enjoying the moment. You nuzzled into his neck, breathing softly.
"I always wanted you to stay."

AM • Yoon Keeho
Summary: After a party, you and your friends sit around the messy living room talking about your future.
Words: 1.2K
Genre: fluff, crack, college au
Pairing: Yoon Keeho x Girlfriend! Reader
Warning: some cursing is all
“All my favorite conversations always made in the AM.”
-
“Get home safe!” You waved at your friends as they left the your house. It was currently one am, and the party was officially dead. The only ones left was your boyfriend, his close friends, and your cousin and his best friend. You turned around to face the living area.
Taeyang and Jiung were spread out on the floor, staring up at the ceiling above them. They were the drunkest out of the four of you that were drinking. Intak and Jongseob were watching them from the loveseat with amused smiles on their lips. Shota, Jongseob’s best friend was passed out in front of the fire place.
You walked over to his sleeping frame, grabbing a throw blanket off the back of the couch. You placed the blanket over him before walking away.
Keeho patted the space next to him, offering you a beer bottle as you happily sat down. He wrapped his free around around your shoulder once you did, pulling you closer to him. You rested your head on his shoulder.
“Dude, your fan goes hella fast.” Jiung stated. He pointed up at the moving ceiling fan. His eyes never moved away from the circling blade. “It’s like it could fly off at any moment. Scary.”
“Dude.” Taeyang was right beside him, watching the fan as well. “It would kill us all.”
“You two are wasted.” Keeho mused. He watched his friends with an amused smile, and you couldn’t help but laugh at their antics.
“Doesn’t change the fact that Y/n’s fan is moving at a deadly speed.” Jiung argued.
“You know what’s scarier than the fan falling and killing us?” Taeyang questioned. He turned his eyes over to his friend with a serious look. “The future. i’m failing all of my classes. I’m going to have to drop out and live on the side of the road.”
“You’re not going to drop out.” You told him before taking a sip from your drink. “You just have to study more.”
“But it’s so harrrd.” He whined, wiggling around on the floor. “Why do I have to go through the hardships of life because my parents weren’t practicing safe sex?”
“Valid question.” Intak snapped his finger, pointing it over at Taeyang. “We didn’t ask to be here.”
“No, but you just have to make the most of the situation.” Keeho told them. “Instead of whining about how hard life is, do something to better it. Get your grades up, get a job. Do something to make yourself happier. Do something to shape your future and make you happy.”
“You know what would make me happy right now?” Jongseob spoke up, sitting up straighter in his spot on the loveseat. “Food. I’m hungry.”
“We should get pizza.” Jiung clapped excitedly, finally sitting up off the ground. “There’s a pizza place just around the corner.”
Before anyone could say anything, Jiung and Taeyang were heading out the door. Intak sighed before standing up. “Guess I should go with them to make sure they don’t get hit by a bus or something. Come on Jongseob.”
“What? Why me?”
“Food was your idea. Let’s go.”
The younger boy whined before standing up and following after the older boy. You laughed as your cousins walked by you. “Don’t let them die.”
“I’ll do the best I can.”
There was no stopping Jiung and Taeyang when they got started. The only thing anyone could do was follow them and make sure they don’t get hit by a car on the way to their destination.
The room fell quiet as the four of them exited the room, the only thing audible being Shota’s soft snores from across the room. You snuggled into Keehos side more, turning to face him.
“Speaking of future, what do you picture ours to be?”
He pursed his lips, thinking the question over. You watched him anxiously, wondering what he was going to say.
“We’ll, right now we’re still young, so we’ll live our lives as best as we can. We’ll go see so many different things while we can, and when we finally decide to settle down we’ll get a nice house in the city.”
“Where would we travel to?” You asked. You wanted to hear more of the future he had planned for the two of you. He had the right ideas anyways.
“Anywhere we want, but I want to take you to Toronto at some point. I want to show you around my hometown.” He smiled at the thought of being back in his hometown with you by his side. “But we’d have to go when Doja Cat’s having a concert then. Two birds, one stone.”
“Of course.” You agreed quickly. “Seeing Toronto and Doja in the same week? Wouldn’t have it any other way”
“And when we finally settle down we’ll get a two bedroom apartment, a two bedroom because we might decide to start a family at some point, but that’s so far from now.” He waved the topic off. He pulled you closer, turning his eyes towards you. “We can’t have a good time now if we’re so worried about the future.”
“You already promised to take me to Toronto to see Doja though.” You pouted. It was only a joke, because you agreed with him. If the two of you were so worried about the far away future, there’s not way you’d be able to have a good time with each other now.
“Oh that’s definitely happening.”
You laughed at him, but deep down you couldn't wait for what the future had in store for the two of you. It was exciting, but at times it was nerve wracking.
"I can't wait." You snuggled closer to him, closing your eyes.
"For the Doja concert?"
"Yes, but I meant for our future together." You opened your eyes once more, this time turning to face the man you loved. He smiled at you before reaching over to give you a sweet kiss on the forehead, making your smile widen.
"We're back!" Intak's voice flowed through the building. Shota moved around at the loud noise. He sat up for glare over at the loud man. "Sorry, but we brought pizza."
Shota's face instantly calmed at the mention of food. He stood up and made his way towards the kitchen, where Jongseob placed the three pizza boxes down on the table.
Keeho stood up, making you whine about the lack of body heat keeping you warm. He reached his hand out to help you stand up before the two of you made your way to the kitchen to eat with your friends.
You were excited for your future, but you would rather live in the moment than thinking about it. You were having fun, and regardless of what your future held, with your friends it would definitely be never boring.

LAST FIRST KISS • Lee Felix
Summary: Felix was your best friend’s twin brother, and the two of you would flirt back and forth. Which one of you will admit your feelings for each other first?
Words: 1.9K
Genre: non idol au, college au, fluff
Pairing: Lee Felix x Reader
Warnings: none.
“Girl, what would you do? Would you wanna stay if I were to say?”
-
“Mr. Moon has lost his mind if he thinks i’m going to kiss Yang Jeongin on stage in front of hundreds of people.”
You snickered at your best friend. “Oh come on Maya he’s not that bad.”
“That’s the problem!” She whined. “He’s so hot. How am I supposed to hold my composure when he’s the Romeo to my Juliet?”
She had been freaking out about this play for weeks. At first their director said he was cutting out the kiss scene, but he changed his mind. That lead to you having to listen to her ramble about Jeongin for days on end.
“You enjoy the couple of seconds you get to kiss him?” You suggested. You stepped into her kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water. “Literally every girl on campus would kill for your spot.”
“Better make sure your food isn’t poisoned.” A voice chimed in. Felix waltzed into the kitchen with a grin on his lips. “Who knows what those girls would do to get your spot.”
“I hate both of you.” Maya muttered before opening the fridge. You glanced at one another with a knowing smirk on your lips. As her best friend, and her twin brother that was obviously a lie.
“If you’re that against it Y/n and I can take over for you.” He suggested. He quickly got on his knees and turned to you with an over dramatic expression. “O- Juliet my dear. Will you run away with me and we’ll spend the rest of our lives together?”
You were quick to jump in. You grabbed his hand. “Oh Romeo. Of course I will. We’ll spend the rest of our days together.”
Your performance was clearly inaccurate since the two of you were not majors in theatrical arts. However, it made Maya laugh. So, a job well done.
“Good thing you two are majoring in different subjects.” She chastised.
It was a fair point. You were far better at remembering bone fractures and sicknesses than reciting a poem. It didn’t bother you a bit. You preferred becoming a doctor over an actress anyways.
“Maybe, but Felix will always be the Romeo to my Juliet.” You teased, giving a smile towards the brunet. He placed a hand over his heart longingly.
“This is why we always go to your place.” Maya groaned in annoyance. “I’m tired of seeing you guys flirt all the time.”
“Would you rather us date instead?” Of course, Felix’s remark was teasing, but you couldn’t help the way your stomach flipped at the idea of actually dating him.
He was charming, caring, and beyond attractive. He was a package deal, and anyone would be lucky to even get a chance with him. You stayed to the side and didn’t bother with it. He was your best friends brother. You didn’t want to cross any unspoken boundaries.
So, you played it off with a scoff. “In your dreams Chef Boyardee.”
“What? Is a chef not good enough for you?” He stepped closer as if he was daring you. He was always playful, and you hated yet loved it. You wanted nothing more than to kiss that stupid smile off his face, but you had to play it cool.
“I don’t know. Maybe you should show me what you’ve got.”
“Really-“
“Bye.” Maya grabbed your hand and pulled you out of the kitchen. You heard Felix laughing on your way up the stairs and into her room.
You flopped down onto her bed, spreading out while she took comfort in her desk chair. She placed the chips on her desk, opening her computer for only she knows what.
She let out a sigh. “I wish you and Felix would get together already.”
That got your attention. You sat up, giving her a wild look. “What are you talking about?”
“Don’t try and play dumb with me. I can see past all of that harmless flirting.”
“Please, I’ve known Felix for years-“
“And i’ve known both of you for longer. He’s my twin. He can’t hide something like that from me even if he wanted to. And you? I can read you like an open book. My only question is; why haven’t you asked him out yet?”
“He’s your brother.” You reminded her. “Plus I never got the vibe that he likes me back.”
It was her turn to look at you as if you were insane. “Are you serious? All of that flirting and you have the audacity to think he doesn’t have feelings for you?”
“He flirts with everyone?” You told her, although it came out more of a question.
“The only other person he flirts with is Changbin, and that’s just because it embarrasses him. With you it’s different. I can tell he’s waiting for the chance to jump on you.”
“Is this you trying to set me up with your brother?”
“If it means that I don’t have to listen to your horrific flirting anymore then yes. That’s exactly what i’m doing.”
-
You let out a sigh as you peeled Maya’s arm from around you. You had no idea what time it was, but it had to of been near midnight since you started the moving a little after ten o’clock.
Like usual, Maya passed out an hour into the movie, leaving you awake on your own. Pulling the blanket off of you, you stood up to go downstairs and raid their kitchen.
You tried to be quiet going down the stairs, but seeing the kitchen light was already on, you figured Felix was awake too. Your suspicions were confirmed when you saw him standing over a mixing bowl.
It wouldn’t be the first time you’ve caught him down here at midnight, making whatever he could think to make. Judging by the flour and the chocolate chips on the counter, it looked like he was making cookies.
You stepped into the kitchen as he placed the sheet into the over. “Whatcha making?”
He jumped slightly, but then turned to you with a smile. “ My specialty.”
“Didn’t realize you had one of those.” You teased. It was clearly a lie. His specialty was cookie. They were perfect. With just enough chocolate chips and a soft gooey inside they tasted like heaven.
He gave you a playful glare. “There’s a lot you don’t know about me y/n l/n.”
“We’ve been friends for five years. I know enough.”
He set hit whisk to the side, turning to fully face you. “You think so?”
“I know your favorite color is yellow. You used to have a problem with your freckles, which is bullshit by the way- they’re beautiful.” You counted off your fingers. “You took a band course on high school-“
“We don’t talk about that.”
Snickering, you continued. “You’re terrified of anything slightly scary. Your favorite kind of movies are comedies. You love playing league. When you can’t sleep you stay up late at night baking-“
“Okay. okay.” He held a hand up, stopping you from rambling on. “Are you sure your aren’t just stalking me?”
“You wish.” You rolled your eyes in a playful manor. “Unfortunately for me, in the last six years of knowing Maya i’ve gotten to know you too.”
“Would you like to get to know me even more?” There it was again. The flirting that drove you absolutely mad. The sly grin on his lips made your heart race.
“Don’t say something you don’t mean Felix.”
He took a step closer to you, tilting his head slightly. “Who says I don’t mean it?”
You couldn’t help the scoff that slipped past your lips. “You’re always flirting with me.”
“Maybe i’m doing it in hopes you’ll actually catch on.” He gave you a pointed look. With furrowed eyebrows, you tried to understand what he was talking about.
“What-“
“God, how could you be so smart, but so dense.” A smile made its way to his lips. “You can name every single bone in the body, but you can’t see that I have feelings for you?”
“That’s not funny.” You shook your head. You thought he was only playing, but the look on his face told you he was serious.
“I’m not laughing. Y/n, I’ve liked you ever since I first laid eyes on you.”
It hit you like a train wreck. He didn’t flirt with you right when you met. He didn’t start until after you broke up with Kim Seungmin. From that point it just kept on, even after you’ve dated Choi Jongho and Choi Soobin.
He had been honest with his feelings this whole time. You were the one that was too stupid to realize it. “Are you the ones that scared my exes off?”
“In my defense, they asked me to stop hanging out with you and i told them that was up to you and not me.” He shrugged.
You gave him an incredulous look. “Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I didn’t want to make things awkward between us and Maya if it didn’t turn out how i thought.” He took another step closer. This time he placed a hand on your cheek. “She may or may not have told me you liked me back.”
You couldn’t be mad at her for that right? She was trying to help the both of you out. You’ve had a crush on Felix for almost eleven months, but he’s felt like this for four years.
“So what do you think Y/n? Will you let me be your last first kiss?”
The words itself shocked you. Last first kiss. That meant he wanted to spend forever with you. Can’t say you didn’t feel eased at the idea.
“Not feeling bold anymore?” He teased you. “What happened to the y/n that would tease me back?”
“She’s currently trying to figure everything out.”
“Let me help you then.”
He leaned forward, pressing his lips to yours. His lips were soft as you had expected, but it was so much better than the dreams you had about him. It was so much more caring. So much more real.
You kissed him back almost instantly. Bringing your arms up, you wrapped them around his neck to pull him closer. His slipped around your waist, gripping your hips as your lips continued to press together.
You pulled away from him, staring up at him with wide eyes. He chuckled. “Did that help any?”
You almost wanted to pinch yourself. To make sure you weren’t dreaming. A smile found its way to your lips. “I don’t know. Maybe you should try to convince me again.”
“hm, alright.”
Your lips pressed against his once more. This time the kiss was more passionate, and a lot more heated. He picked you up and placed you on the counter, letting you wrap your legs around him to pull him even closer.
His hands tickled your sides, making you squirm slightly. You couldn’t help the laugh that slipped past your lips, but you didn’t pull apart until-
ding!
The sound of the oven going off made the two of you spring apart. Felix pulled out of your grasp to go check on the cookies. Hopefully they weren’t burnt. You could really go for one about now.
“You almost made me burn my cookies!”
“You’re the one that started flirting with me first!”

IF I COULD FLY • Park Jimin
Summary: Your boyfriend leaves to go on tour, and you being without him made you realize just how much you care about him.
Words: 1.4K
Pairing: Park Jimin x gf! Reader
Genre: fluff
Warnings: none
“For your eyes only, I’ll show you my heart.”
-
Distant screams filled the airport, the fans cheering for their idols. You followed your boyfriend through the back way, gripping his hand tightly as you neared the plane entrance.
You could feel it seeping in. The dread of letting him go off, away from you for months to go on the world tour with his friends. You were proud of him- beyond proud. However, you were hoping there wouldn't be too many hard days.
The two of you hadn't been dating long, and neither of you were ready to let the world know yet. You weren't sure how the fans would react, especially since he's a part of the biggest boy group in the world. You didn't mind waiting. It gave the two of you the privacy you needed.
He stopped, and you almost ran into him, but you caught yourself in time. He turned to you, a pout adorning his lips. You didn't like the sight. He looked a lot better with a smile rather than a frown.
"You'll be back soon." You reassured him, and also yourself. "It'll be like you never even left."
"You could come with me." He suggested, even though you both knew it wouldn't work out. You had work. Plus the fans would freak out if you made your debut as a couple on his world tour.
"You know I can't."
"Yeah, I know." He sighed. He reached over with his other hand to grab your other one, holding both of your hands with his. "Don't miss me too much."
You scoffed, rolling your eyes playfully. "Please. I'll have Bam to keep me company."
While they were away, you promised to dog sit for Jungkook. You adored his puppy, and you didn't hesitate to offer your help when he mentioned he was looking for someone to keep up with him while he was gone.
"Don't replace me with a dog Y/N."
"Then come back quickly." You smiled up at him, swinging your hands slightly in his.
He chuckled at your before leaning forward, placing a sweet kiss to your lips. You smiled as you pulled away. You pulled your hands from his to reach up and wrap your arms around his neck.
"Be careful, and have a lot a fun, okay?"
-
Two months into being without Jimin, and you found it fairly easy to keep yourself busy. You were able to keep your mind off just how much you missed Jimin, but at night you found yourself wishing he was beside you.
Today had been a particularly rough day. Your boss yelled at you for making a mistake on your report, and you've been working so hard you hadn't had time to eat properly. On days like this Jimin would always send you something to eat so you'd be able to function properly.
It happened to everyone. You had bad days every now and then where you'd just want to lay around and do nothing all day. You had to push yourself to get out of bed, but you'd be slow all day. It was if you were living life in slow motion on your bad days. It never seemed to end.
You found yourself sitting on the couch in your apartment. The tv was on, but you weren't really paying attention. You eyed your phone, waiting for the call from Jimin. He always called you around this time, right when he was waking up for the day.
The screen lit up, and your ringtone echoed through the small apartment. You shook your head to bring you out of your trance and pressed answer.
"Hello?"
"Hey, are you okay? Usually you text me during your day, and I haven't gotten anything."
You let out a sigh, guilt filling your veins. You normally would send him texts during the day so he would know what you were up to. He did the same while you slept. You didn't have much time on the phone before he had to work, so it was your ways to keep up with one another while apart.
"I'm sorry. It's just been one of those days."
"Oh." He muttered. He was always so understanding about your off days. It was amazing to you that you were able to find someone so understanding.
Your phone beeped, and you saw it was him requesting face time. You answered, the sight of your fluffy headed boyfriend coming onto the screen. You smiled softly at the sight of him.
"Min, I look like crap."
He shook his head. "You look beautiful."
"I miss you." You told him. You promised yourself you weren't going to do this. You didn't want to constantly tell him how much you missed him every day. You didn't want to make him feel bad for having to leave you behind, but you couldn't help it. You missed him.
"I miss you too." He fixed his phone, giving you a better view of him. He was sitting on his bed. He probably just woke up. "Do you need me to come home?"
"No way." You furrowed your eyebrows at the question. "Why would I take you away from your fans like that? You've all been waiting to perform again for two years. I would never ask you to drop that for me."
"I know that." He rolled his eyes at you. "If I could, I'd be there in the blink of an eye."
"If only you could fly." You joked. He chuckled at you, smiling at the sight of your own smile. Talking to him like this really was the highlight of your day since he left. Even if it was only for a couple of minutes.
His eyes moved behind the phone, and he nodded at their manager. "I'll be there in a minute."
He turned back to you, his smile disappearing for a single moment. You knew what he was dreading to say. You couldn't be upset with him, and you hoped he knew you never would be over something like this. He was living his dream. You could never be upset over him doing what he loved.
"Can I tell you something?" He asked, avoiding the fact he had to hang up. "It's not something I'd like to tell you over the phone, but at a time like this I think we both need it."
You eyes him, curious as to what he had to say. "yeah?"
"Y/N, I love you."
Your breath got caught in your throat at his words. Neither of you had said that before, making this the first. Of course you knew you loved the man. You just didn't want to say it so early and freak him out.
"I know it's a difficult time, with me being away and all. I really am thankful that you're so understanding about this and that you're staying by my side, even thought I-."
"I love you too." You said quickly, stopping him from rambling on anymore. It was his turn to be shocked for a second, but when your eyes met through the screen you both smiled at one another. "I'll always be here to cheer you on, even from halfway across the world."
The sound of the door opening again made him look away. He nodded before turning back to you once more. "I’m m sorry, but I've got to get ready for an interview."
"Go knock their socks off." You gave him one last smile. "I love you Jimin."
The grin on his lips was infectious. "I love you too."
You hung up the phone, but the smile never left your lips. In just a few short minutes, your day was better thanks for him. Feeling giddy all of a sudden, you cut your tv off and turned the radio on. You decided to take a shower first to refreshen yourself before you got ready for bed.
Once you were out of the shower and in your pajamas you headed to the kitchen, searching for something quick to make yourself. Before you could even decide on what to make your doorbell rang.
"Delivery." The person shouted. You waltzed over to the door, opening it to reveal a delivery man. He held out a bag, urging you to take it. "I've got a delivery for L/N F/N."
You offered him a thankful smile. "Thank you."
You took the bag from him and retreated back inside. Your phone buzzed, and you picked it up from the counter you placed it on when you went to get your shower. It was a text from Jimin.
Eat well. I love you.

LONG WAY DOWN • Kim Woosung
Summary: You and Woosung decide it’s time for things to come to an end between you.
Words: 1.1k
Genre: angst, idol au, short and sad
Pairing: Kim Woosung x GF!Reader
Warning: none.
“Point of no returning, now it's just too late to turn around”
-
You weren’t sure where is all went wrong. A loving embrace turned into never holding each other. Sweet words turned into yelling. The two of you worked well together, and then you didn’t.
You started arguing over the smallest of things. You always made up hours later when one of you decided it was enough, but it was never enough. Another argument would soon ensure, and the cycle started once more.
Just like now. The two of you stood in your apartment, arguing over something you couldn’t even remember. It was tiring.
Your stern tones blended together as the two of you tried to over talk one another. You let out a frustrated sigh and ran your fingers through your hair.
“Why are we doing this?”
He stopped talking. “Because you-“
“No, I meant this.” You motioned to him, and then to yourself. “All we do is argue anymore Woosung.”
“Couples have arguments.“ He said softly.
You shook your head. “Not every day. Not like this. What happened to us?”
He eyed you, crossing his arms over his chest. “I guess we just… drifted apart.”
That was an understatement. It was if you were two strangers.
“So why are we still acting like everything’s okay?”
He wasn’t sure what to say to that, and honestly neither were you. You wanted it to work, but there wasn’t any hope anymore. You sat on the couch, placing your head in your hands.
“Are you saying we should break up?” His voice was hoarse, and his eyes were trained on you, waiting for an answer.
“Shouldn’t we?” Your eyes met his, and you had wished this wasn’t happening. “All we do is argue anymore. We can’t be happy together and do this everyday.”
He turned away from you, his eyes moving to the floor instead. He knew you were right, but damnit he didn’t want to admit it.
He stepped closer to you, sitting down beside you. “Maybe you’re right.”
You wanted him to fight against it, to promise you that it would work. You wanted him to hold you and tell you he wasn’t going anywhere.
But even he knew this was hopeless.
His hands found their way to your cheeks. “Y/n, is that really what you want? To end this?”
No.
You weren’t sure you could tell him that. You loved him. You really did. But your personalities crashed. Both of you were too stubborn to listen to the other, and neither of you were willing to lose an argument. It would never work like this.
“I think it’s for the best.” You muttered quietly.
Woosung nodded, but you didn’t miss the way his eyes started watering. He leaned forward to press a soft kiss to your forehead. It left you breathless, and wanting more, but that couldn’t happen.
He stood up and wiped his pants off before he stepped over to the door. “At least we can’t say we didn’t try. Maybe I’ll see you around.”
He hesitated when leaving the apartment, but when the door shut you broke down. The tears fell freely down your cheeks as you leaned over the side of the couch.
It hit you like a truck. Your small apartment seemed to be so much larger now that it was just you inside. The only thing you could hear was your soft cries as the night pushed on.
-
A week after the breakup, and you weren’t doing too well. It was a mutual break up, but that didn’t mean it didn’t hurt.
Was it a mistake? Should you have tried once more?
No. The endless arguing had to come to an end. But you’d miss the nights you held one another while watching movies. The nights you found yourself kissing his neck while he played the guitar. His soft voice echoing through the apartment as he sang to you while the two of you danced in the middle of the night. It would all be missed.
You had seen him a couple of times, and it didn’t make it easier. Of course it was bound to happen. You didn’t live that far from him after all.
It didn’t look like the break up affected him that badly, and that made it worse. You wanted him to feel like you did. To hurt, and to miss all that the two of you had. But even you knew you couldn’t control how he felt. You just had to move on.
You cuddled into your blanket, pressing the ignore button on your phone. Your friend had been calling you all day, begging you to get out of the house. You didn’t feel like it right now. Maybe tomorrow.
Catching sight of the picture of you and Woosung on your wall, you let out a huff and fell back onto the couch. You didn’t want to look at it now. You’d have to remind yourself to take it down later.
Some people just weren’t meant to be together. And unfortunately for you, you found that out a little to late. You wanted to curse the world for letting you fall for him before showing you it would never work.
You wanted it to work. You really did. But deep down you knew it never could. The two of you were never meant to last. You loved Woosung, and you were pretty sure you always will.
It was hard to love someone that you knew you couldn’t be with. But like he said; at least you tried. You tried to make it work, but it wasn’t meant to be.
You and Woosung had built it up so high. You were on top of it all, and then a storm came and you were falling. The wind whipping at your face stung, but you had no choice but to embrace it as you got closer to the ground.
It’s a long way down.

UP ALL NIGHT - kevin moon
Summary: It’s your birthday, and Kevin throws you a surprise party.
Words: 1.9K
Genre: idol au
Pairing: Kevin Moon x GF!Reader
Warnings: cursing, alcohol consumption
“I wanna stay up all night, and do it all with you.”
"You're stressing about this too much dude."
Kevin scoffed at Jacob's words. He stood on his tip toes to finish hanging the banner up. "It has to be perfect. She deserves nothing less."
"How'd Y/n manage to snag one of the good ones." Soojin questioned, letting the balloon she was blowing up go, resulting in it flying around the room before it landed near the ladder he was using.
Jacob was clearly offended at the comment. "Hello?!"
Yujin snickered at him. She tied the balloon in her hands before standing up. "No offense Jacob, but Kevin's been worrying over this for the past month now. A guy that loves you that much is hard to come by nowadays."
Kevin smiled at the acknowledgment of him being a good boyfriend. "You two will find your one soon enough."
He jumped off the ladder and stepped back to admire the work they've been doing all day. The other three stood beside him, each of them smiling at the banner than said Happy Birthday Y/n!.
Once Kevin found out you'd never had a surprise party before, he was bound and determined to make sure you got just that. He wouldn't leave you any hints as to what he had planed either. He simply told you that you were going out to eat at a nice restaurant.
"You think she'll like it?"
Jacob smacked him on the back of the head as if that was the most ridiculous thing he had heard all afternoon. "Of course she'll like it!"
Yujin nodded in agreement. "Now all that's left is food and music."
"Chan's coming over with the dj setup, and Seokmin and Dahyun are bringing the food and drinks." Soojin noted off, her eyes scanning her phone. "They'll be here in thirty minutes."
Just then, Kevin's phone dinged. He fished it out of his pocket and read the message you had sent him.
You: Just got off work! Are you still picking me up at eight?
Kevin smiled before texting back.
Kevin: Ofc. be there on time princess <3
He turned his eyes away from his phone to look back up at his fiends. "I'm gonna leave to get ready. Can I trust you guys to finish it?"
Jacob rolled his eyes before pushing him towards the door. "Go get ready and pick up Y/n. We've got the rest of it."
"How badly can we mess up setting up the food and drinks?" Yujin questioned with a quirked eyebrow.
"Maybe I shouldn't leave yet."
"Boy if you don't get out of here-"
-
"You almost ready?" Kevin asked as he walked into your room. He gave you a swift once over, a smile coming to his lips at the sight of your beauty. You were leaning over your vanity, placing your earrings in your ears.
"Yep." You smiled back at him, standing up fully to turn around and look him in the eyes. "Are you ready?"
At the sight of you standing there in that dress, Kevin had second thoughts about going to the surprise party. He had no problem going out to dinner and then coming back home to strip the dress off of you. However, he controlled his temptations because this was something you always wanted.
"You look beautiful." He reached out to pull you closer to him. You kept your balance in the heels, but you still reached forward to lightly smack him on the arm.
"I could've fallen!"
"I'd never let you hit the ground." He told you with a smirk on his lips. Leaning down, he placed his lips on yours. You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him closer, enjoying every moment into the kiss.
You pouted when he pulled away. "Are you sure you don't want to stay in tonight?"
He chuckled at your suggestion. He would love nothing more, but he worked so hard on this just to not go. "As much as I'd love to tear this dress off of you, I went through hell to get these reservations."
"You're right." You nodded. You knew how hard it was to get reservations at the prestigious restaurant, and you were shocked when he told you that he had managed it. "Are you ready to go?"
Kevin checked the watch on his hand. 7:43pm. Everyone should be there by now. He nodded and took your hand, puling you along and out of the apartment.
"Yeah, but can we stop by my place first? I want to pick up your present."
"I told you I didn't want anything."
"And what kind of boyfriend would I be if I listened to that and didn't get you anything?"
Kevin was a gift giver. He loved showering you with presents, and you didn't mind at all, but you didn't want him to think you wanted it. You didn't want him or anyone else to think you were with him because of his money, because you weren't by any means.
He led you over to his car, where he opened the passenger door like the gentlemen he was before walking around the car to get into the driver seat. He started the car, and drove off in the direction of his place.
"Sorry for the detour, but your present was a little too big to fit in the backseat." He told you, making you laugh softly.
"It's fine, we left a little early anyways."
He parked across the road and got out of the car. He walked over to the passenger side and opened the door. He reached his hand over and helped you out of the car, shutting the door once you were out. Grabbing onto his arm, you let him walk you to the front door of the dorm he shared with his members.
He typed in the code and swung the door open. You furrowed your eyebrows as you were met with darkness. “Is no one home?”
You jumped back as Kevin turned on the lights and several people jumped out from everywhere. “Surprise!”
You blinked, trying to take everything in. Your bestfriends, Soojin and Yujin were in the front, smiling wide as they wheeled the cake over to you. “Happy birthday!”
“On three everyone!” Jacob called out. “1, 2-”
You couldn't wipe the grin off your lips as they began to sing happy birthday to you. Once they were done you leaned over to blow out the candles- emitting cheers from everyone. You were enveloped in hugs by everyone around you, all of them congratulating you on getting older.
You turned around to face Kevin, who was giving you the biggest smile you had ever seen. You laughed as you reached out to smack him on the arm. “I can’t believe you did this!”
He pulled you forward, wrapping his arms around you. You hugged him tightly as the music began to blast throughout the house. Kevin’s friend, Chan waved at you from on top of his DJ stand. You waved back, the smile never leaving your lips.
“Happy Birthday, love.” You looked up at your boyfriend through your eyelashes, giving him the most loving look he had ever seen. It made all of this worth it. All of the busy nights planning, and inviting, and sneaking around to make sure everything was in place. It was all worth it just from seeing the sheer joy on your face.
“Anything for you, darling.”
You leaned forward to press your lips against his in a passionate kiss. It was just like all the other kisses you’ve shared. Full of passion and love for one another. Wrapping your arms around him tighter, you pulled him as close to you as you could.
It was reasons like this why you loved him so much. You mention a surprise party once eight months ago, and he remembered. He never let you down, and you were determined to do your best to never let him down either.
You pulled away from him, buzzing with excitement. Before you could say anything to him, you were pulled away by your best friends. Soojin and Yujin pulled you towards the dance floor, squealing the whole way.
“Happy birthday Y/N!” Chan said into the mic, pointing towards you. “This next one’s for you.”
A familiar beat played through the speakers, and your eyes lit up as you realized instantly what it was. You squealed at the song and began to dance around with your friends to your favorite One Direction song.
“I wanna stay up all night and jump around until we see the sun!”
Screaming the lyrics was therapeutic, and after the long week you had at work it was just what you needed.
Kevin and Jacob joined the three of you, screaming the lyrics as well. Kevin danced with you while Jacob danced with the two girls beside you. He twirled you around and brought you close.
“I wanna stay up all night and find a girl and tell her she’s the one!”
Kevin pointed over at you. “You’re the one Babe!”
You laughed and continued to jump around and dance happily with your friends. It was a night you would remember for the rest of your life, and it was thanks to your boyfriend having the brilliant idea and your friends for helping him pull it through.
“Up all night, up all night, we’re gonna wanna stay up all night!!!”

I WOULD • Kim Hongjoong
Summary: You have a boyfriend, and Hongjoong respected that, but he couldn’t stand seeing you miserable with someone who doesn’t treat you right.
Words: 2.1K
Genre: non idol au, angst
Pairing: Kim Hongjoong x FEM!Reader
Warning: reader cheating on her scumbag boyfriend
“Would he say he’s in l-o-v-e? Well if it was me then I would.”
-
Hongjoong let out a sigh as he placed the menus down on the podium for what seemed like the hundredth time today. He began back down the aisle, his eyes catching sight of you sitting alone in a booth.
“Y/n?” You turned your head, offering him a soft smile. The two of you had met in your first year of college. You easily became good friends over the years. “What are you doing here?”
“Waiting for Dulsik to show up.” He scowled at the mention of your boyfriend.
“He hasn’t shown up yet?”
“Nope.”
“Typical.”
You turned to him with furrowed eyebrows. “What?“
“Nothing.” He flashed a quick smile. Truth was, he was never a big fan of your boyfriend. He did stuff like this a lot. Made you wait for him, whether it’s him picking you up or you meeting him somewhere. He’s canceled on you plenty of times as well.
But Hongjoong never says anything. He remains to himself. Why? Because he sees the smile on your face every time Dulsik finally does show up. He loved seeing you smile, even if it was for your douche bag of a boyfriend.
Lately your smiled hadn’t been there, because it’s gotten to the point he doesn’t even show up anymore.
Another truth. Hongjoong was sure he was in love with you. The way his stomach fluttered whenever you smiled at him, and the way his skin burned every time you touched him. Every sign was there. He embraced it like a fool. You wouldn’t be his. Not with Dulsik around.
Had he thought about getting rid of the guy? Plenty of times. That’s all it was though. He’d never actually do anything about it. He didn’t want to see you go through that pain.
So, he waited. He waited for you to realize how much of a dick your boyfriend was. Every time he tried to mention his mistreatment you’d curse him out. You were blindly in love with Dulsik. It was infuriating.
“What time was he supposed to be here?”
“Eight.”
Hongjoong scoffed. The bastard left you waiting here for 50 minutes now? “And you’re still hoping he’s gonna show?”
“I was, but i’m not so sure now.” You sighed. Hongjoongs heart broke for you. “He’s not answering his phone. I hope nothing happened to him.”
“I’m sure he’s fine.” You nodded in agreement, but the disappointment was clear on your face. Hongjoong sat down across from you, crossing his arms. “I get off in ten minutes. If he’s not here by them you’re welcome to come to Chanhee’s with me.”
You knew Chanhee. You shared a couple of friends with him, so of course you knew him. He was a cool guy. “What’s happening at his place?”
“Nothing much. He wants to show this cool mic he got. We might mess around and make a track or something.”
You smiled at the idea. Chanhee was an excellent singer, and Hongjoong wasn’t too bad at rapping either. “Who else is gonna be there?”
“Dahyun, Sihyeon, and Minho I think.”
Oh, so all of the talented people.
They were all gifted in their own ways. Dahyun was a great actress. She got lead in almost every play your school held. Sihyeon had the voice of an angel. She and Chanhee basically ran the choir. And Minho was the schools best dancer. He even led a dance crew of his own.
What did you have to bring to the table? You took band once, but you didn’t think the saxophone would help with this. You weren’t that great of a rapper, and you couldn’t carry a tune to save your life.
Still, anything was better than sitting in a booth until the restaurant closed.
“Sure.”
He nodded with a smile before standing up. He checked his watch. “Eight minutes.”
He disappeared into the kitchen. He finished what he had to do faster than he’s ever done before. Taking the apron off, he hung it up on the rack. Seungkwan eyed him as he moved quickly.
“What’s the rush?”
Hongjoong barely glanced at him. “I’ve got someone waiting.”
“That pretty girl you were talking to?” Seungkwan smirked at the prominent blush on the boys cheeks. “Friend of yours?”
“Yes, but she has a boyfriend.”
Seungkwan nodded before going back to work, letting the boy clock out before walking back out of the kitchen.
Hongjoong stepped up to the table, offering you a hand. “You ready?”
You nodded and took his hand. He helped you to your feet and the two of you were out of the restaurant.
-
You couldn't contain the laugh that you let out as Chanhee nearly tripped over this chair. He cursed softly before standing up and dusting himself off.
You'd been here for nearly two hours, and you were having fun. They didn't question why you were here, but the conversation was brought up when you received a text from him.
I'm sorry.
That's all it said. Nothing more. No I'll make it up to you or an explanation as to why he never showed up. You scoffed before tossing the phone on the couch. Two could play at that game.
"What's wrong?" Hongjoong asked. He noticed your change in mood almost instantly.
"Dulsik apologized."
Dahyun sent you a curious glance. "What happened?"
"He never showed up for our date." You told her with a shrug. You tried to play it off, but you were hurt and you were sure it showed. "I waited for nearly an hour, but he never came."
"Dude..." Sihyeon trailed off, a look of disgust on her face. “Did he at least tell you why he never showed up?”
They didn’t want to hate the guy immediately, but it was hard not to with the small shake of your head.
Chanhee scoffed. "You deserve better than that Y/n."
You were starting to realize that. You had grown tired of his constant excuses, but yet you held on in hopes he could change. It didn't seem likely, but you had hope.
"Good luck with that." Hongjoong thought to himself, moving back to the computer. "I've been telling her that for months."
Minho sat down in the desk chair Chanhee nearly tripped over. "He do this often?"
"More than I'd like to admit."
"Dump him." Minho was blunt. "What's he ever done for you anyway, besides leaving you in a booth alone?"
"He ever buy you flowers?" Sihyeon asked. Your eyes diverting to the ground told them no.
Dahyun scoffed. "Does he even tell you he loves you?"
No. He doesn't. "He said he wasn't ready for that commitment."
I would. Hongjoong looked at you. He'd do both of those things. He'd shower you with gifts, and constantly remind you of how much you meant to him. It's nothing you didn't deserve.
"Let's drop it." Hongjoon hoped you were finally starting to listen, but he also didn't want to see you upset. And right now you looked like you wanted to crawl away and hide. "We're almost done with he track. We just need a cover photo."
Your eyes lifted, sending him a grateful smile. What would you do without him? You felt a small sensation in your stomach, and you knew what it was. The only thing was yo couldn't figure out why it was happening towards Hongjoong.
He was your friend, and you had never felt such a way about him. So, why now were you feeling like you wanted nothing more than to reach over and hold his hand?
"I can help with that." Finally something you could do. "I don't have my tablet right now, but I could whip up some digital art for it. Just give me a preference and I'll have it done as fast as possible."
"Really?" Change asked. His eyebrows lifted in surprise. "That'd be great."
He didn't think twice about taking your offer. They were all gifted, but not when it came to digital art. That was your specialty.
They began to offer ideas as to what the cover photo could look like, and you took notes in your phone so you wouldn't forget. It seemed easy enough. You should have it done rather quickly.
-
A week after your hang out with Hongjoong and his friends you found yourself waiting in your living room for the arrival of your boyfriend. Thirty minutes later and he hadn’t showed up yet.
He was supposed to pick you up and the two of you were gonna watch a movie, but like always he had to work. He was always working.
You could feel it. The love you once had for Dulsik were slowly disappearing, and you were certain next time you saw him you’d break up with him. The fear of being alone outweighed the mistreatment you were facing.
A knock on your door made you lift your head. You stood up and walked over to the door. You opened the door to reveal not your boyfriend, but Hongjoong.
“Joong?” You said in a questioning way. You weren’t expecting him today. “What are you doing here?”
You moved to the side so he could step inside your small apartment. He did so, quite timidly. “I came by to see if you wanted to hang out with me and the others tonight. We’re going to a karaoke lounge to celebrate the finished track. Wouldn’t feel right the now have you there.”
You smiled. Feeling included in such a project made you feel needed. It was nice. “You couldn’t have called?”
“Well if you agreed to go I didn’t want you to walk alone. Plus your place is on my way there.” He shrugged as if it were no big deal. “Did you already have plans?”
“I did, but-“
“Wait let me guess. Dulsik never showed.”
You didn’t want to look at him and admit it. You didn’t need too. The glance away from him confirmed it by itself.
“Why do you keep putting yourself through this y/n?” He asked with a sigh. “You don’t deserve any of this.”
“And what do i deserve?“ You asked. He’d been telling you what you deserved for months. You wanted to know just what he thought you deserved.
“Some who actually cares for you.” Hongjoong’s rose a bit. It wasn’t angry yelling, but desperate. “You deserve to be shown just how much they care for you. Someone who doesn’t throw you to the side and keeps you waiting for hours. Y/n, you deserve someone that’s not afraid to tell you they love you.”
“And who’s gonna do all of that?”
“I would!”
A burst of emotion set off through your entire body, and before you could stop yourself the two of you met in the middle, lips crashing together feverishly. Your hands made their way to his neck, and his to your waist to pull you closer.
The kiss was fast and sloppy, but it was everything the two of you never said. He was putting his confession into this kiss- hoping you’d understand just how much he cared for you.
You? You put the bottled up feelings you had for him out. You always did like Hongjoong, but how could you have been sure he felt the same? It was too risky to lose someone on hopes they felt the same.
“Y/n.” He said through kisses. “This- this isn’t.”
He reluctantly pulled away from you. He was loving every second, but-“ This isn’t right.”
You knew he was right. Even though your feelings for Dulsik have dwindled, and your love for Hongjoong has flourished, it still wasn’t right. You were still with Dulsik, and you just cheated on him.
“I’m breaking up with him.”
It was final. Even if you hadn’t kissed Hongjoong you were gonna break it off with Dulsik. The kiss just encouraged you to do it sooner.
“Good.” Hongjoong smiled. “You should be with someone who really loves you- i’m talking about me. You should be with me.”
