HOMOGENOUS OF TWO TEMPERAMENTS: THE EASY CHILD AND DIFFICULT CHILD
Tumblr media
When I’m about to reminisce about my childhood memories, they said I was very pretty consistent in my sleeping and eating routine and I’m always got curious about new things I discovered. Me, when I was a child I can be quickly and voluntarily adaptable to any changes as well as having a positive mindset of everything but sometimes when I experienced being tired in my whole day I come up against my personality as a difficult child experiencing over sensitive to any stimulation of sounds, sensation, moods, and energy around me.

Beware these generational cycles!
Tumblr media
So many times children reflect their parents. It is of course the natural way things go, the almost obvious route of development. Yet, in so many cases it shouldn't. In many instances measures should be taken to counter or prevent it. I always reference a simple tale about two young men. Lets say their both in their early thirties. One man is very successful. The other is a drunk, an alcoholic.
Tumblr media
Both were asked why they believe their loves turned out the way they did. Both had the exact same answer: "My dad was a terrible alcoholic." In life we find two types of people (cliche as it may seem). There is always one side that goes with the flow or current and the other who makes a decision way from it. The second makes sense to me. The first is more interesting though. I have seen people complaining about some way they've been treated, just to use the same tactics the next moment an "opportunity" comes along. How can this be?
Tumblr media
I have seen people en fairly constant pain, emotional pain, because of a way someone did something, but that is exactly how they do things further on.
Does this come from a kind of pride?
Do they even realize it? I know people who have been hurt so immensely by the decisions or rather the lack of decisions of someone close to them, but a little while later they display the exact same behavior. Or again, lack of approach. What makes sense is that it comes back to being aware or being unaware. I have come to believe that people alter in this way to cope with life. To cope with pain that nothing can be done about.
Tumblr media
What is so sad is that the same whip that was used for a son or daughter has now been passed on. The one who felt the lashes are now the one who has taken it up. We have to beware these generational cycles.
Take a look around you and at yourself.
We should not merely follow in the footsteps that lead out in front of us. Read the full article

Yup, that’s me refusing to blow out the candles on my birthday 🎂 I’m on the left. My cousin, Tina, is pretending to cry on the right but that didn’t work. 😂 #birthdays #candles #elephantcakes #birthdayparty #birthdaycake #blowoutthecandles #shy #1960s #difficultchild #rebel #birthdayfun #birthdaygirl #cousins #family #familyfun #summerbirthdays #kids https://www.instagram.com/p/Bl6TXyEh6Oq/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=z3bdoxelkqyr

"Based on a report by TIME, findings of a recent study available on PsycNET are encouraging parents to embrace their child’s stubbornness instead of trying to change it. After four decades of observation, the research indicated that stubborn children are the ones who become determined adults." #linkInBio

I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday about her struggle with her teen. And I was telling her about this book that I read when my daughter was little. Now I think about it. This book had helped me see my daughter as her own unique individual rather than trying to find a diagnosis to label her with. When she was a toddler, I was just struggling with her behaviors and development. I was thinking to myself if these are normal kids' behaviors, why are people having 2, 3, or more kids. I can barely deal with this one. So I decided to do some research. There wasn't much information like how it is today. But I did found a book called Difficult Child from Amazon.com I think this book saved our life and my child being diagnosed with all kinds of mental illnesses and placed on unnecessary medications. I learned about the different temperaments of children, and how difficult children usually turn out to be amazing and successful adults. So I learned to adjust my expectation and do things differently according to my child's temperament. I can't say it solved all my problems, but I know what to expect and why she is how she is. But life was better because I know what to say or how to manage her. Over the years, friends and family often come to me for advice for their difficult child because they know I have one of my own and she turned out quite well. This book has helped me a lot. Over the years, I continue to recommend this book to my friends who also have a Difficult Child.
