Name : Feu (Pronounciation: either Few or Foo) Profession: Macro Cosmos Lead Tech Director / Former Directbox Founder & Head Engineer

Personality: Albeit being straight-faced and overall unemotive, Feu has quite the eccentric sense of humor. Their delivery of jokes are usually indistinguishable from when they’re being serious, so “just kidding,” is a common phrase for them to say. Despite being constantly sleep-deprived and worn out from the demands of their work, they are overall a chipper and positive individual who treats their workers well. Likes to eat “cleanly,” but usually orders a pizza for their subdivision every weekend as they enjoy treating others. A big brother/uncle-y sort of individual, they’re very approachable and patient despite their somewhat intimidating appearance. Bio: Hailing from Kalos, Feu immigrated to Galar in order to plant the HQ of their startup, Directbox, in Hammerlocke. Directbox was a company providing the service of pokemon boxes at the tap of a finger any time, anywhere- no Pokemon Center visits necessary. Although the pitch was a marvel idea and praised by their contemporaries, after the first pilot year Directbox already began to see red. The maintenance of their servers, the cost of engineers and 24/7 maintenance to ensure the safety of the storage platform... Feu refused to sacrifice the quality of their certified service; but in doing so, they began losing funds due to the hefty costs for upkeep. Pokemon boxes available at Rotomi kiosks were already provided as a complimentary service by various Macro Cosmos subsidiaries; and in collaboration with most nearly every possible Pokemon and regular Health Insurance provider, provided free pokemon box access to practically anyone in the Galar Region. The target audience for Directbox was pokemon trainers and other pokemon lovers and professionals, but seeing as it was a subscription-based service not covered by any insurance (essentially an additional bill,) and had a gradually increasing cost due to the difficulty of upkeep; it was difficult for the company to gain loyal customers. As pokemon trainers were children and those who actually gain sponsorships during their gym challenge were rare- it was difficult to find an audience who could both afford the service and actually find it useful/necessary.

Feu nearly filed to liquidate the company’s assets by the end of 20XX, but in that same year, the Chairman of Macro Cosmos reached out for a deal that would save Directbox’s service, and re-breathe life into it.

Feu’s personal feelings aside, there wasn’t really any other options- either kill the company or let it thrive under Macro Cosmos. In 20XX, Directbox was bought by Macro Cosmos, and Feu was appointed Lead Tech Director of Macro Cosmos’ tech subsidiary. They became in charge of overseeing the maintenance and growth of their newly bought direct-to-phone pokemon box service, now essentially universally covered in the same way that Rotomi kiosks are. 

As a part of Feu’s contract, their pioneering and founding of the original Directbox program, patent and service are entirely uncredited. It is not really common knowledge who they are or what their achievements were prior to the company being bought out- but that is mostly in part of their own preference for privacy and solitude rather than any interference from MC’s part. 

Feu is extremely diligent and competent at their job, and although their responsibilities are more over-encompassing than ‘menial tasks,’ they usually take it upon themselves to man tech support and read/respond to emails and phonecalls. They take joy in hearing the positive reception of the service that MC provides, even if its origins and original hard work is uncredited to them.
