Posted @withregram • @ashevillemusictools The ACV-1 & ADG-1 are USA-designed & manufactured analog modulation pedals. The ADG-1 covers everything from a bright country slapback to washy dotted eight leads to psychedelic modulated odysseys, the ADG-1 is the new standard in compact analog delays. The ACV-1 consists of a modulated BBD delay line with a flexible supporting cast of synthesizer-inspired controls. On the surface, the ACV-1 is simply a highly tweakable classic chorus. In reality, it is a veritable powerhouse of time-warping modulation effects: shimmering comb filter swirls, luscious true pitch vibrato, glitchy textures, ringing metallic pipe tones, and even a faux reverb. Went to Pride with kid, 14yo, yesterday. We saw a band setting up on the stage - looked like a teen riot grrrl combo. When they started playing, we were about half a block away, looking at rainbow swag. I said "Oh, cool. They've got the DS-1, classic grunge distortion pedal." Kid was like "Uh.... okay."
Kid did enjoy their sound and wanted to get their info so we went back behind the stage after their set to talk to them. The guitar player, maybe 17yo, was carrying a homemade F/X board and sure enough - that orange block was right in the middle. I was happy to tell her I've played with a lotta fuzzboxes over the years and I always come back to the DS-1.
Also, my kid is apparently cool. Other kids were coming up the whole time to say "I love your boots/outfit/hair."
Name of the band was Pyewacket, from Lynchburg VA. They don't have a Bandcamp. They're probably on websites that only Zoomers know about.
