I realized I had never made a trick video for Cody! He loves learning new things, and always tries so hard. I do have to be mindful that he can see me, and I'm a bad handler and sometimes signal too far out of his line of sight. He may act puppyish but he will be 13 in May and is completely blind in his right eye and has arthritis. Our brave and beautiful Wilf passed over the rainbow bridge yesterday. At 5 years old he had a traumatic spinal injury, which left him disabled which meant he couldn't walk very far or use his legs properly. This never stopped him from enjoying his outings, (especially once he got his rucksack) and playing with his best buddy Merlin @wilfandmerlin Despite this, we've been very lucky to have a further 6 years with him, against the odds. We shall all miss him terribly, he certainly was a character! Loving to those he liked and loved, but generally grumpy with everyone else - human or dog. I know he'll be missed by many of the dog walkers down Iris Brickfield Park, who were always keen to check he was doing ok. I'll miss my cuddles, his funny little bark and schnauzer ears... I read every comment. I often receive the words "so sad" or "poor dog" both online and in person. I've been called names and an animal abuser for keeping Daisy alive. Daisy does not need pity and I hope that more people will celebrate her achievements with me, rather than being sad for her disability. I really don't mind the negative comments, but please know that this account is owned by one human being with emotions. I'm just like everyone else- a 25 year old female with a minimum wage job trying to make her own life and her dogs' lives happy. I don't make money from this account.
