A few thoughts.. The emergence of new faces, of new competition and competitors is always something fun, fresh, and exciting. I’m thankful for what we’re getting lately, we have 9 Divas involved in something and all carry importance, the players are being given matches with significant time, and the division itself serves as a main character in this story. I like what we have been seeing, so far. However, personally, I’m not one that’s going to give Stephanie (HHH and/or Vince, etc) a standing ovation for doing what we (the fans) have been telling, asking, writing about, and begging them to do for years. To show that they care. To finally do something that was common sense in the first place. Am I happy they finally decided to take some kind of action into bettering the Divas division? Yes, of course. Am I going to bow & praise them and give them a cookie and all credit? No. New Divas are cool and all, but I’m not going to let that distract me from wanting to see real change in treatment and investment of the entire roster of competitors that are branded as “WWE Divas”, the hard-working ladies that make up the main roster women’s division in WWE. What is the actual change in thought and way of doing things? Is it a real revolution, or is it just a name they (WWE) slapped onto a new storyline just to play ‘me too’ with the attention women in sports have been getting lately? I’m hesitant about accepting the “revolution” label. To throw around that word you have to really commit to it and actually be about it. You have to include those that have suffered most from the system that you aim to change. What’s revolutionary for the other women not shown on TV? How can one preach “women empowerment” in public when you have a group of women still being treated like shit and a few whom have never been given a real chance? After this storyline of all 3 teams feuding is done and over with.. Emma, Cameron, Summer, (and maybe Natalya) get nothing from it. If not, Emma (if she’s main roster), Cameron (when she returns), and Summer (when she’s done with her storyline with Lana) will be in the very same position--or even lower--that they were in before the so-called revolution angle started. From an overhead and fan perspective, how is that “empowering women” and helping all the Divas, how is this “change”, how is this revolutionary? If it’s a “revolution” for the division then it should be exactly what is preached, not an exclusive club of hand-picked favorites and those who are protected from start because they are the “babies” of those controlling the show. Let us remember, the “#DivaRevolution” is an offspring of #GiveDivasAChance, it is WWE’s version of GDAC packaged and sold back to the ones who created it. The core reasoning for GDAC was for better treatment and better showcasing of the female talent. Sure, we are seeing Divas get more speaking segments, more screen time for character development, matches to build quality - and that’s OK, but the problem is that those opportunities are only accessible to a select few when it can and should be available to all. I understand introducing the NXT Divas and getting the main roster crowd familiar with each one, and they’re doing a good job at establishing this - but don’t stop there. There should be work being done with all the Divas on and off-screen to build a better platform, to present a better landscape and environment for which talent can work. Equal opportunities and fair management. The morale shouldn’t be mixed. Favoritism and discrimination is not “progress”. I’m not saying I won’t enjoy the “Divas Revolution” story, this is an interesting angle that has brought the Divas division a lot of attention, and If I’m correct (in which I hope that I am), the match structure & ‘up’ in quality we have been seeing lately for this angle is hopefully WWE’s way of re-training the audience (live and home viewers) on how to watch women’s matches; even commentary has change their tone a bit. This is a process that will develop gradually and one that is very important to (in Naomi’s words) “changing people’s perception of what women’s wrestling is” in WWE. As a Divas fan and fan of women’s wrestling, I appreciate the importance being put on Divas matches lately. As I continue watching and enjoying the women’s segments each week, my thoughts will remain. My point is, I want to see real change, I want to see all the women currently employed on the main roster (competitors and non-competitors) be able to thrive, do what they love, and spread their wings, in & outside the ring. That, is a revolution.

With Paige still throwing out insults at the Bella’s about how they’re only where they are because of who they’re dating ... STOP THAT! I THOUGHT THIS HOW REVOLUTION WAS ABOUT MAKING THINGS DIFFERENT! A WOMAN SLUT SHAMING OTHER WOMEN IS NOT A REVOLUTION! Write them a fucking proper story! with twists and turns and actual intrigue, not just “well, you’re dating this man, and that means you’re bad. And I’m good.” Or, if you want to go to this writing crutch, how about you write a feud between Cena and Bryan where they tell each other they’re only where they are because of whose tits they’re sucking.  FUCK!
