I almost never agree with Russia these days. But I do wish Putin success with his attempt persuade rightwing imbeciles from the West to emigrate to Russia.
Russia will need a Statue of Unliberty with an inscription like:
Give me your homophobes, your Nazis, your nationalist boneheads yearning to spread conspiracies...
As CyberMindGrrl wrote at Daily Kos:
Turns out Russia has formulated a plan for “ideological immigration” targeting European and American Conservatives.
Think your country is going too “woke”? Can’t stand all the rights and freedoms being granted to LGBTQ+ people? Want to find a safe space from all the “woke” liberals around you? You’re going to LOVE Russia, a place where “Don’t Say Gay” is enforced at gunpoint and where “woke” liberals are sent to die a violent death on the front lines.
Who needs rights and freedoms (or hallucinogens) when you have Vladimir Solovyov on your TV?
As a result of the conference held in Moscow on February 14, dedicated to ideological immigration to Russia, it was announced the creation of a Coordinating Headquarters for assistance to immigrants from NATO countries. This decision may give rise to a new direction in the migration policy of the Russian Federation, the main task of which will be the resettlement of residents of the United States and the European Union who are friendly towards Russia towards Russia.
Outlining the tasks of the coordinating headquarters, Dmitry Gusev, the first deputy head of the A Just Russia - For Truth faction in the State Duma, noted that one should not persuade those who do not love her to return to their homeland, but help those who consciously want to move to the Russian Federation.
The US should partially remove air travel sanctions to enable these people to get to Russia ASAP. Hell, I’d offer them free flights – provided that they first hand over their US passports when boarding the planes. If they come from a purple state or a swing district, give each person a gift card for vodka.

The incumbent governors or acting heads nominated by United Russia won in 11 other constituent entities of the Russian Federation:

in Amur region — Vasily Orlov (82.38%);
in Magadan region — Sergey Nosov (72.39%);
in Chukotka — Vladislav Kuznetsov (72.34%);
in Nizhny Novgorod region — Gleb Nikitin (82.82%);
in Altai Krai — Viktor Tomenko (76.16%);

In another six regions, where the vote counts is being finalized, the leading candidates are also United Russia candidates and incumbent governors. In Yakutia, the incumbent head of the region Aysen Nikolaev is in the lead (75.77%). In Krasnoyarsk Krai, Mikhail Kotyukov has a majority (70.21%). In the Ivanovo region Stanislav Voskresensky is leads (82.49%), in the Samara region — Dmitry Azarov (83.83%), in the Smolensk region — Vasily Anokhin (86.62%), in the Tyumen region — Alexander Moore (78.77%).
In total, elections for regional heads were held in 21 Russian regions.
“Elections” for municipal and regional “parliaments” were carried out in the occupied and annexed territories of Ukraine. There United Russia claimed a majority of the votes, said Alexander Sidyakin, head of the party’s central executive committee. They claim to have won between nearly 75% and 83% of the vote.
In a statement from September 4, the Council of Europe said the “elections” in Ukraine’s occupied territories were, “a flagrant violation of international law which Russia continues to disregard,” and that holding them created, “an illusion of democracy but clearly violates the right of citizens to participate in the conduct of local public affairs.”
Election observation movement Golos reports that, “a significant contribution [to voter coertion] this year is made by reports of the use of digital technologies and, above all, remote electronic voting (DEG) for coercion.” Golos has observed a number of irregularities related to electronic voting.

HUSKY – INVISIBLE from Evgenii Bakirov on Vimeo.
The shooter tries to kill the victim, but does not see him. The victim tries to escape from the shooter, but the bracelet on his leg makes a sound.
Excerpts of the song:
Invisible one, asleep in the corner Invisible one, who paints the haze Tramp painting exploded gas Invisible one, an eyesore I wrote this rap invisible I stole a pencil, unable to bear it In someone's kitchen a stove hood was buzzing I picked words casually
A squadron of days will fade away with sails My pictures will come out of the walls’ frame You’ll enter, rifle through blindly for the light Who will follow you with a bullet? I’ll settle pale as Petersburg Doors of moans break from the hinges of the lips You merged, leaving veils of faces You asked for it, voyeur

Heyaaa do you think you can do the principal prediction list for Bolshoi male dancers? You know the one with “not if but when”, “who knows” categories?? Thank you~~~
i already know i’m going to regret posting this lol
disclaimer: since the bolshoi’s system of promoting male dancers tends to be way more delayed than their female one, i’m including dancers in the corps who have been getting management attention and generally dancers that i’m more familiar with. btw this list is full of my own bias as much as i try to be objective so take it with a grain of salt.
hindsight: 4 male principal positions will be open for grabs in the next 5 years.
NOT IF BUT WHEN (aka the 4 ‘replacements’)
jacopo tissi (premieres, debuts, broadcasts. he’s getting a lot of them. he’s also the epitome of a classical prince. one of vaziev’s favourites.)
egor gerashchenko (debuts in leading classical roles - textbook bolshoi ballet career trajectory to the principal rank. debuts in spartacus and ivan the terrible, so he’s expected to carry on the mantle of grigorovich ballets.)
david motta soares (well liked by moscow audience and management. has been getting big debuts left and right in all sorts of roles and ballets. could be a huge int’l PR boost as the first brazilian dancer to reach principal rank at the bolshoi. don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t reach the top.)
denis zakharov (objectively incredible as a classical dancer. his debuts and his jump from the corps to first soloist in his third season correspond with that.)
IF POSSIBLE
igor tsvirko (diverse, solid repertoire. a bit like a de facto principal well-liked by the moscow audience, but the main attention isn’t on him; a bit pigeonholed as a heroic dancer. also left for the hungarian national ballet for a bit (hmmmm.) will be 35 when savin retires. it really depends.)
ivan poddubnyak (sooooo many amazing classical debuts in his first season. became the talk of the BT scene after his exhilarating james debut. maybe i’m biased but he has the physique, the face, the technique, the stage presence AND he’s only 20. i don’t see why he can’t reach principal. he’s had 5 debuts in remarkable roles in his first season so far. putting him here bc of his age.)
dmitry smilevsky (he has everything he needs to reach the top rank, but he’s still so young and only debuted in a number of significant roles (like 5 in his first season so far, which is v impressive) so nothing’s for certain yet.)
WHO KNOWS
klim efimov (been debuting in big classical roles but it’s a slow-going process; i’m uncertain since BT has a lot of fresh male talent but he still has a chance. EDIT: okay ten seconds after posting this i am already doubting efimov’s placement lol. had vaziev not promoted savin, i would’ve put him in “babe it ain’t happening”.)
alexei putintsev (could be pigeonholed as a heroic/character dancer like tsvirko due to his height, he would have to work extraordinarily hard to earn their premier title.)
igor pugachev (same problem as putintsev since he doesn’t fit their exact image of a prince, but i’m willing to think anything is possible especially after savin’s promotion. he is still so young as well, there is time. i’m betting he would most likely be a leading soloist though.)
danila khamzin (among one of the fresh grads that have management attention, has a number of significant classical debuts but he has sort of been eclipsed by his peers whose careers have been more “fast-tracked” than his??? still too early to tell.)
mark chino (more or less the same with khamzin. honestly, he’s great. a few lovely, significant debuts. but considering that this is his fourth season and that his career has not been as “fast-tracked” as dancers younger than him, i’m putting him here. but still a lot of potential.)
BABE IT AIN’T HAPPENING
georgy gusev, dmitry dorokhov, mikhail kryuchkov (very much character soloists, do not have an extensive classical repertoire, already halfway through their careers)
artur mkrtchyan (standard resident soloist. don’t really see any upward mobility for him.)
kirill sokolovsky (really hyped by the VBA docu but don’t have the roles to show for it in his pro career. i would put him in ‘who knows’ bc of how he looks + vaziev’s general tastes and occasionally eccentric decisions + the fact that he’s still only in his second season, but he’s not on the same level with the others up there. plus i’ve already put too many people there yikes. still too early to tell tbh.)
WHEN HELL FREEZES OVER
vitaly biktimirov (amazing character artist, but age + semi-retired?)
karim abdullin (age, has his sights set on teaching?)
egor khromushin, anton savichev, alexander smolyaninov, alexander vodopetov, alexander fadeyechev, alexander vodopetov (age and/or not a classical dancer)
TLDR; vaziev promoting denis savin to principal at the age of 36 has caught me off guard so much that i keep doubting my own judgement.
