Every single one of these images is inappropriate and disrespects deep-rooted traditions that belong to south asians. Some of these traditions were a result of struggles and horror stories that your coachella brain cannot comprehend. 

My culture is not an aesthetic. 

Just because you do yoga and say namastayinbed, because you think you’re edgy, doesn’t give you any right to tell me what I should and should not get offended about.

Do i hate any of these idols? No. Do I think they should do better? Yes. The only reason it is T H I S pissing off is because of how downplayed it is like south asian culture just doesn’t matter at all. Our voices are never heard and we never get that support system.

One of these days I really want to make a proper post about Katawa Shoujo and how it has/is really helping me cope and muddle through my feelings regarding my disability. I'm like Hisao, in a lot of ways. I was a normal guy, suddenly thrust into a word of disability, and it's hard. It's genuinely so helpful to have a character I can relate to-- and in a way bounce ideas and feelings off of Hisao that I have regarding my- OUR situation.

Here's the thing about living stealth, I don't think there's a single trans person out there living as their true self that is *ashamed* of being trans. We may not all be *proud* of having to go through struggles, but not a single one is ashamed of coming out the other side. People who are stealth understand and want one thing: Safety.

We live in a world so incredibly hostile to trans people's existence; simply going outside can get you arrested if some of these new legislations pass. People who choose stealth understand this reality and choose SAFETY. They choose to care for themselves, and I need you all to understand how valuable the ability to choose that is.

It is not our job as individuals to be warriors, or educators. It is our job to survive.
