As much as I adore the evil cattonquick/quickstart fics, I’m also in love with the idea of a happy ending where Oliver is just…a collective pet for the Cattons + Farleigh.

Him carrying Venetia’s purse. Painting her nails, switching clothes with her if she gets uncomfortable. Going shopping and sitting there like “You look great Babe :D”. Fetching whatever food she wants and comforts her after eating to make sure she’s okay. Watering her plants, filling her drinks, zipping up her dresses. Buckling her heel straps, washing her hair, carrying her when she gets tired of walking.

Him having a lap that Farleigh can kick his feet up on. Kissing his hands, massaging his back. Bringing him water/hangover cures after a night out. Backing him up in debates, standing behind Farleigh and glaring at people who stray too close like a guard dog. Spraying Farleigh’s cologne for him. Carrying his drinks, hand-feeding him food. Buttoning up his shirts and folding his clothes. Polishing his signet ring.

Him carrying things for Felix to chew on; fruity gum, toothpicks, lollipops. Washing his back. Fetching whatever he asks. Fastening his cummerbund, fixing his collar. Bringing Felix plates of his favorite foods at parties, cups of his preferred drinks. Buying his condoms and lube. Sitting at Felix’s feet if able, a gentle hand on his calf. Carrying Felix’s textbooks, washing his car, making his bed.

When able, him tending to Elspeth. Cleaning her jewelry, polishing her silver. Kneeling at her feet, rolling her stockings on. Offering an arm or a hand when walking on grass or stairs. Brushing her hair, pouring her wine. Listening to all the little nothings she had to say. Buying her flowers.

Lighting all their cigarettes dutifully. Tying their shoes, adjusting their clothes for nothing more than a reason to touch them. Tucking them into bed, petting their hair, worshipping the ground they walk on in a way that’s much more personal than other admirers.

Idk I just think it’s neat.
