Not gonna lie, their love story reminds me of someone known in The Sims 2 community, who turned out to be an awful human being.

She's Penny Ross (in the OG Riverside she's Dina so I changed her to be different from former self) and he's Brody Baxter (formerly Don Baxter, same changes). He's basically a hybrid of Don and Daniel, a cheating husband who at the start dealt with the consequences of being caught cheating by his ex-SIL. The more I look at him, the more he reminds me of L. Penny is a self-employed article writer, going by the pen name of Dina Ross. She does not want to get a job, but wants to earn money. At least she wants to be friendly with her partner's son.

METROPOLIS, Ill. — The pastor began his sermon with a warning. Satan was winning territory across America, and now he was coming for their small town on the banks of the Ohio River in southern Illinois. “Evil is moving and motivated,” Brian Anderson told his congregation at Eastland Life Church on the evening of Jan. 13. “And the church is asleep.” But there was still time to fight back, Anderson said. He called on the God-fearing people of Metropolis to meet the enemy where Satan was planning his assault: at their town’s library. A public meeting was scheduled there that Tuesday, and Christians needed to make their voices heard. Otherwise, Anderson said, the library would soon resemble a scene “straight out of Sodom and Gomorrah.” The pastor’s call to action three months ago helped ignite a bitter fight that some locals have described as “a battle for the soul” of Metropolis.

The dispute has pitted the city’s mayor, a member of Eastland Life Church, against his own library board of trustees. It led to the abrupt dismissal of the library director, who accused the board of punishing her for her faith. And last month, it drew scrutiny from the state’s Democratic secretary of state, who said the events in Metropolis “should frighten and insult all Americans who believe in the freedom of speech and in our democracy.” Similar conflicts have rocked towns and suburbs across the country, as some conservatives — convinced that Democrats want to "sexualize" and indoctrinate children — have sought to purge libraries of books featuring LGBTQ characters and storylines. Republican state legislatures have taken up a wave of bills making it easier to remove books and threatening librarians with criminal charges if they allow minors to access titles that include depictions of sex.

To counter this movement, Illinois Democrats last year adopted the first state law in the nation aimed at preventing book bans— which ended up feeding the unrest in Metropolis. Under the law, public libraries can receive state grant funding only if they adhere to the Library Bill of Rights, a set of policies long promoted by the American Library Association to prevent censorship.

Many longtime residents were stunned when these national fissures erupted in Metropolis, a quirky, conservative city of about 6,000 people that has a reputation for welcoming outsiders. Because of its shared name with the fictional city from DC Comics, Metropolis has for the past half century marketed itself as “Superman's hometown.” Tens of thousands of tourists stop off Interstate 24 each year to pose beneath a 15-foot Superman statue at the center of town, to attend the summertime Superman Celebration, or to browse one of the world’s largest collections of Superman paraphernalia at the Super Museum.

“Where heroes and history meet on the shores of the majestic Ohio River,” the visitor’s bureau beckons, “Metropolis offers the best small-town America has to offer.” But lately, the pages of the Metropolis Planet — yes, even the masthead of the local newspaper pays homage to Clark Kent — have been filled with strife. Unlike in comic books and the Bible, the fight in Metropolis doesn’t break along simple ideological lines. Virtually everyone on either side of the conflict identifies as a Christian, and most folks here vote Republican. The real divide is between residents who believe the public library should adhere to their personal religious convictions, and those who argue that it should instead reflect a wide range of ideas and identities.

During his sermon in January and in the months since, Anderson has cast his congregation and their God as righteous defenders of Metropolis — and the Library Bill of Rights and its supporters as forces of evil. If Christians didn’t take a stand, Anderson warned, there would soon be an entire children’s section at the library “dedicated to sexual immorality and perversion.” And before long, he said, the town would be hosting “story hour with some guy that thinks he’s a girl.”

[...] A week later, the board went into a closed session and presented Baxter with an ultimatum: If she wanted to keep her job, she needed to sign a performance improvement plan. It stipulated that she would abide by the Library Bill of Rights, seek state grant funding and discontinue praying aloud with children and other religious activities at the library. Baxter refused to sign and began to criticize the board. Voices were raised, according to three members. After a few minutes, James, the board president, slammed her fist on the table. “This is not up for debate, Rosemary,” she said. “Either sign it, or don’t.” Baxter stood up and left. Minutes later, the board came out of closed session. By a vote of 5-3, they terminated Baxter’s employment. Baxter’s departure left the library in turmoil. Four employees resigned soon after, and the board got to work picking up the pieces.  They brought on a former library employee to serve as interim director and embarked on top-to-bottom reviews of the library’s catalog and finances. “Our focus,” James said, “is making sure our library is strong and healthy and there to serve everyone.” Then, on March 19, the story of Baxter’s firing was picked up by Blaze Media, a national conservative outlet. In a column titled, “A librarian’s faithful service is silenced by a secularist takeover,” conservative talk radio host Steve Deace interviewed Baxter and Anderson and reported that both had come under fire for their Christian beliefs.

Deace presented the local saga as a warning that evil forces were now coming for small-town America and blamed the problems in Metropolis, in part, on “a California transplant who is living with another man,” referring to Loverin, the library board member. Three days later, Metropolis Mayor Don Canada — who in 2021 had appointed Anderson, his pastor, to an open seat on the City Council — took a stand of his own. In letters addressed to James and two other board members, Canada announced that he’d “lost faith in the Board in its current state.” As a result, he was removing James and two others who’d voted to terminate Baxter. 

In Superman's alleged hometown of Metropolis, Illinois, the town has been engulfed with strife over conflicts on the direction of the town's public library, with Eastland Life Church Pastor Brian Anderson leading a war against the library as part of the faux moral panic about LGBTQ+ books that right-wingers falsely claim such books "sexualize" children.

*Dr. Rockwell is a very big coffee enjoyer and used to secretly steal coffee from the nearby shops around the mighty mutanimals hideout and on the rare occasion when someone caught him and called him out he would always use the excuse of the shops being owned by big corporations.

*Mondo Gecko will call people posers if he's jealous enough of them.

*Ivan Steranko is also trans but has only had hrt and face masculinizing surgery and refuses to get top and bottom surgery.

*The last headcanon is much to Karai's dismay because she is somewhat allergic. She gets headaches, her skin gets slightly irritated and she gets the sniffles if she's around cats for too long.

*Casey's younger sister wants to be a hair stylist when she grows up, so Jones let's her do his hair every once in a while and he flexes it to every one at the lair like: "Oh? My hair? Yeah, my sister did it for me. Pretty metal, what she did with it, right?"

*Tigerclaw is the only Foot Clan member to not bully Baxter Stockman.

*Someone manipulated and lied to Alopex in order to make her hate and hunt down her brother.

*After season 4, Baxter Stockman leaves New York and takes over Stockman Industries. (If you're unaware of what that is, it's on billboards that the turtles pass throughout the show the most notable appearance being in the ending scene of the final season 4 episode, 'Owari'.)

pleasantview reborn: the lotharios

i recently realised that i've hit round 4 in my pleasantview reborn save but never actually introduced any of the families... oops! time to remedy that... starting with the iconic lothario family at 165 sim lane!

i use @skittlessims' gc pleasantview sims, so a lot of my sims are going to look very different!

The Lotharios are a reclusive, enigmatic bunch. Old money might have given Don and Cassandra a good start to family life, but was it enough to give them a happy marriage? Will Fabio finally crack under the pressure society has placed on him, the eldest heir to the Goth-Lothario fortune? Don Lothario

Once upon a time, Don's life was so full of ladies, the only reprieve he got was sleep. Now that he's gotten older and mellowed, though, all he's seeing are the consequences of his own actions. Namely, the many angry ex-lovers he spies whenever he takes his kids grocery shopping.

Cassandra Goth-Lothario

Quiet and mysterious, Cassandra has always been far more sophisticated and intelligent than her years. A doting, if strict, mother to her children, and an enigmatic figure in the science community she's soon to inherit, there is only one thing that Cassandra can't seem to solve: her husband's wandering eye.

Fabio Lothario

Handsome and polite, Fabio grew up in the stifling Goth-Lothario clan, constantly being reminded of his duties as the only Lothario son. He likes beans and would like to start a farm one day, though parental pressure to carry on the Lothario legacy threatens that dream.

Idalia Lothario

The social norms imposed on the Lothario siblings from birth seem to have had no effect on Idalia, the eldest daughter of Pleasantview's most notorious power couple. While as artistic and refined as her mother, and as attractive as her father, she seems to have inherited a penchant for the criminal from some long-lost Goth ancestor.

Nadia Lothario

Shy and nature-loving, Nadia keeps carefully to the Goth tradition of mystery. She has few friends and prefers her mother's plants to parties.

Baxter (Cat)

Baxter’s quite a curious kitty, though not the smartest. His loyalty to his longtime owner, Cassandra Goth, is infamous in Pleasantview.

Team 41514 | The Don-Trons

Part 1 Betrayal (next part will be linked here)

April really did try to stay awake after her alarm went off. She had moved it farther from her bed so she’d be forced to get up, she brushed her teeth right away, she even made herself a morning coffee. Now that coffee was going cold while she sleeps on her couch. It really was a valaient effort but there’s only so much you can do when you spend your nights working part-time jobs or fighting with mutants. Luckily something came along to wake her back up.

She has no time to react to her wall bursting open before she’s catching a turtle shell hurling towards her face. Mikey quickly pops out to wraparound her tightly, tears streaming out of his eyes.

“April help! He’s gone crazy!”

“Don’t be ridiculous Micheal! ‘Crazy’ implies lack of reason and you know I have plenty of reason.”

April stares at her friend hovering in the rubble that was once her wall, clutching his weapon and grinding his teeth.

“And what reason could you possibly have for destroying my apartment?”

“Oh please. It was just a wall, hardly your whole apartment. Besides, you destroyed something much more important.”

April’s lips press into a tight line, “more important than my wall?”

“But of course! Both of you are responsible for breaking something infinitely more valuable: my trust.”

“I swear! I didn’t know what he meant!” Mikey pleads.

“What are you two on about?”

“Scoff! Like you don’t know.”

“Barry told me some kids asked him to be the supervisor for their club and I was all excited and I ask ‘did you say yes?’ and he did! So I screamed ‘yayyyyyy!’ and was all excited ‘cause he was taking initiative and helping out human kids and the school and I hadn’t even needed to convince him and I was so proud! But then it turns out the club was a robotics team and he never even told me so I couldn’t tell Donnie but even if I did he wouldn’t have been able to join because he’s not a student at your school except Baxter Stockboi was able to so maybe he could’ve especially with Barry being in charge but Donnie doesn’t like Baxter or Kendra or anyone on the team except maybe Sunita and Dale or maybe just Sunita since we’ve never really talked to Dale and honestly we’re not that close to Sunita but I’d like to because she seems super cool and you guys always hangout and I just want to spend more time with her!”

“Yeesh, did you get any of that?” everyone turns in surprise to find Leo, leaning in the doorway to April’s kitchen, eating noodles out of a takeout container with chopsticks. “Just saying, I completely skimmed past it. Didn’t even look like he was breathing for most of it.”

“Are you the one who keeps eating my leftovers?”

Leo freezes. Risking only a quick glance away from April’s eyes to the food in his hands before getting caught back into her deadly stare. “No?”

“I don’t have time for any of this. I need to be at school in,” April checks her phone, “five minutes ago!” Her head drops back onto the armrest in frustration.

Leo puts down the chopsticks, grabbing the hilt of one of his katanas eagerly, “need me to get you there?”

“No!” she and Donnie cry.

“It pains me to say but this is far more important than April’s education. She will not be able to go to school until this is resolved.”

April’s eyes snap towards the purple clad turtle. Donnie claiming something is more important than education? “What did you say happened?”

thank you! ^^ and yesss i love seeing people's own takes on fusion stuff! it can be really fun concepts to mess around with and different people take it in cool different directions..

we had to take a bit of a break from it for a while, but now i'm about 3/4 of the way through season 4! it's been super fun watching 2003, its sooo wild.

i think leo's kind of smug hippy energy after a half season of being depressed and scared and angry is hilarious. baxter stockman experiences his -somehow- healthiest workplace environment in years. (<- this probably will age poorly LMAO) karai is having a great time and dealing with everything suuuper well <3

In a nutshell, Don has an affair with their neighbor Dina and recently had been caught by his sister-in-law.
