As someone who doesn’t like CL Rayman, I’m really digging @/rayman-raymania’s interpretation of the character, whom they refer to as Rei. It’s honestly a breath of fresh air to see CL Rayman having a life outside of work that isn’t entirely based on Ow.The.Edge. Rei is more casual, good natured, and can be playful whenever he wants to be. He generally feels… …like Rayman.

Although he’s just a fan portrayal and his current timeline takes place months before he snaps, I really appreciate the passion put into his character. I wish the writers showed this side of him in the actual show, instead of Ubisoft having to constantly remind us “Ohhhh look what we did to your childhood! 😂😭😂😭” I’m not saying Rayman’s depression and anger isn’t valid. He has every good reason to be upset. The problem with it though is that it’s so oversaturated. I wanna see him, for once, be warm, silly, and wholesome. It’s like he’s not allowed to be happy. Sometimes, edgyiness can be more annoying than good.

This further proves our statement that fans care more about Rayman than the actual company that owns custody over him.
