Yesterday, the entertainment media under China Internet Network Information "Center -ent.China.com.cn" reported on Xiao Zhan's accomplished works mentioning how one can always trust Xiao Zhan’s acting skills & works

The media outlet also shared a chart that shows The Untamed ranked high in viewership in 2019, Douluo Continent is the in 2021.

Douluo continent 2 is officially on and not surprisingly Xiao Zhan isn't in it. I still really loved season 1 though, and can't imagine anyone else as Tang San so I don't know if I can watch season 2, so I'm a bit sad. Seems to be official that he won't be in JOL 2 either, although we don't know who his replacement will be yet.

Summary (without spoilers): The story is happening in a world where warriors can become stronger and develop new powers and abilities by absorbing magic animals’ souls. Tang San is a teenager living with his father, after his mother died when he was at a very young age. He’s sent to Nuoding Academy at the age of 16 to learn how to become a Soul Master, there he meets his teacher Yu Xiao Gang and a young orphan student named Xiao Wu. Together, they’re sent to another school, Shrek Academy, where they meet different students from other schools, and they all become known as the Seven Devils through the whole land. In the middle of it, Tang San tries to find the truth about his mother’s death.

You will like this if you enjoyed: The Untamed, Martial Universe

Opinion: The universe of this drama is very interesting, and I never saw such kind of cultivation with animals’ souls before. The characters have to absorb some magic animals’ souls to win their fight abilities, and the fact the protagonist absorbed a spider is at the same time awesome and disgusting, but sooo interesting. The way the fights take place is very similar to role playing video games, as much by proposed attacks than by the way the characters are leveling up. The stories of Tang San and his friend Xiao Wu are very touching and I cried a lot watching them talking about their past or their troubles, which is quite rare. I devoured every episode without ever getting bored.

Pros: Good fights, original universe, interesting stories, it’s awesome to discover each new places

Cons: Some useless characters, the story ends in the middle of something and there is no season 2

Conclusion: ★★★★☆

I finally finished watching this Chinese anime show that’s online and it’s really good and awesome it has a few names for it being called Douluo Dalu, Douluo Continent, The Land of Warriors, or Soul Land….its one series but has 2 seasons
