The Elizabethan Townhouse

I was recently sent an email asking what was on the site of the Elizabethan Town House at the north of Marygate. This goes around the houses a bit but it’s a fascinating story taking in so many unrelated subplots! The Elizabethan Town House, formerly the Avenue Hotel was built in 1899 by Joseph Weatherston (1836–1910). However, to answer the question of what was there before the Avenue, we have to delve further back in time.

The Elizabethan Town House

It is now hard to believe, but the Scotsgate was once the same size as the Cowport. A single-carriageway wooden bridge (later replaced by a stone causeway) spanned the 200 feet of the ditch in front of the walls. (This is why the road widens out to the north of the car park entrance: that is the point at which “land” was reached again.)

Dr John Fuller, in his 1799 History of Berwick complains bitterly about the Scotsgate and its narrow bridge, and the dangers it posed. And with good reason: remember—pedestrians were vying for space with traffic in both directions, and those on foot were coming off worse. It was probably as a result of Fuller’s remonstrations that in 1806, the Council gained permission from the Board of Ordnance “for taking down and widening the Scots Gate and the Draw Bridge leading thereto, so as to render the northern entrance into the town more accessible”. In the end, probably due to cost, just the east pedestrian archway was added. Note, there was a gate inside: the town was being locked down every night until about 1815!

If you look at the pedestrian archway on the east side and the archway over the Cockle Steps” leading to Greenside Avenue, we can gain some insight as to what happened. Originally, where the pedestrian archway is, there was a flight of stairs leading to the rampart. We also know that there was a guard house at this side of the Scotsgate. One can see the stonework of the Cockle Steps arch has been roughly dismantled and there has been no attempt to “finish” it in any neat way. This is lucky for the building detective, as it shows the arch must have projected over what is now pavement, under the rampart steps, forming a barrel vaulted roof to the guard house.

The rampart steps were taken down in order to create the new pedestrian archway. We can see in the Cockle Steps arch how only just enough has been removed to allow this. What happened to the guard house is unknown. It may have been downsized, rebuilt (unlikely) or abandoned. Whatever its fate, we know that 80 years later, Joseph Weatherston unblocked what was there to create Greenside Avenue.

In 1857 the thorny question of the Scotsgate raised its head once more. The problem was now that since the arrival of the railway in 1844, the majority of people walking up and down Castlegate favoured the west side, closest to the station. A square building, known then simply as “Miss Gardiner’s house” had occupied the site since the late 17th century at least (see 1792 plan above). It projected awkwardly beyond the natural street frontage. This meant that anyone walking up the west pavement on Marygate had to either use the original vehicular road, or cross to use the east footpath, neither deemed desirable. Alderman Bogue believed the best solution was to demolish the projecting wing of the house and build a second vehicular carriageway and in its place. Later that month, however, it was resolved to leave the house alone, widen the existing vehicular arch and add a west pedestrian archway. In February 1858 the Berwick Journal took the Board of Health (who were in charge of the project) to task declaring the alterations to be a “Waste of Money!”, and that “[the public] do expect to see some benefit commensurate to the outlay [of public money]; this, however, we regret to say, they are rarely privileged to see, and in the case of the improvements at the Scotchgate they never will.” In May the Board decided on a plan of action; to widen the existing gate to the east by 6 feet to 18 feet 3 inches, raising the arch by 1 foot, and to add a west pedestrian footpath at an estimated cost of £40–£45. Work commenced demolishing the arch in September that year. The Berwick Journal, like many a modern day tabloid, without any sense of contrition, pronounced its U-turned opinion once more: “Now that it is down, and everybody can see what a great advantage its absence is, in every respect, we trust that they will by every means in their power endeavour to be released from the obligation of building it up again, in any form whatever.” The paper went on to suggest all that was needed was a ramp from the east side of the opening up to the ramparts. Thankfully, the Board of Ordnance stuck by its insistence that the rampart was rebuilt! But what of Miss Gardiner’s house? The Journal had a point when it demanded that the house should be purchased, “at any price and pulled down”, so that people could actually see the new west pedestrian archway ahead, instead of missing it and using the road. While they were at it, “the Corporation might buy that old, rickety, squinting thatched house […] which disfigures the East side of the entrance to the town.” (Situated near the B&M supermarket entrance by the Castlegate car park, it seems to have been used as a toll house.) The paper went on to suggest it being replaced by a new building “in the Edinburgh fashion”, the money being recouped by selling or letting the flats and offices therein.

“Miss Gardiner’s house” had been occupied by a now elderly Guy Gardiner (1768–1855). He had been the Master at the first Grammar School between 1806 and 1848; only the third since 1691! The house had come as part pay with a salary of £80 a year. The original grammar school was nearby and now may form part of His two spinster daughters, Mary JS Gardiner (1804–?) a retired teacher, and her younger sister, Jane S Gardiner (1808–?) another teacher, were obviously looking after their father. The 1861 census shows that, following the death of their father, they were joined by a “cousin” the 14-year-old Jane JS Gardiner who had been born in Malta. Twenty years later, we find that young Jane was married to Thomas Fair Robertson Carr, an agricultural merchant. It is not clear whether the house sale was by mutual consent or by compulsory purchase, but by October 1881, it was to be offered to the Urban Sanitary Authority for £1625 and the projecting wing finally demolished.

But what was happening across the road at the site of the Elizabethan Townhouse? Examination of the OS 1852 map shows a very similar building layout with an archway leading through to Sidey Court, then a stonemason’s yard. Inside the arch is a blocked doorway that no doubt led into a pub called the White Hart. (Prior to this it was called the Sir Francis Burdett after the very popular reformist MP (1777–1844) elected to Middlesex, and Westminster.)

The date at the eaves states 1899 which is probably the date the Avenue was built as the first mention of it I can find is 1901 when the landlord was a Mr Elliott. Before Eliot or, indeed, Weatherston, the property belonged to George Back (1801–1879). Living in Church Street (1851 census) he and his sons George (c.1827–1874) and James (1835–?) were the stonemasons to whom the yard and buildings belonged. George Jnr must have had an excellent education as by 1855 he was advertising himself as an “Architect, Land and Engineering Surveyor”.

In 1856 he fortuitously bought the lease of the Tweedmouth quarry. Fortuitous as in 1858, the King’s Quarry became the location of Tweedmouth Cemetery. Newspaper adverts from March 1857 now describe him as an “Architect and Sculptor” supplying gravestones at “The Studio, Scotchgate”, the salesroom of the family business.

By the time the 1861 census was taken, it would appear that George Snr and James had left Berwick. What had happened? We will probably never know but in July 1860 George and James had applied for passports. A mere two months later, gone is any mention of his being an architect and sculptor; gone are the cemetery monuments. Instead, George is reduced to selling flagstones and other building materials. This would explain why his occupation in the 1861 census is listed merely as “merchant”. The change of business must have been due to the departure of George Snr and James; with nobody to make the gravestones, there were none to sell. It suggests that business had taken a downturn, possibly because, or as a result of George Snr and James’s departure to Ottawa, Canada. By now George would have been about 60: he died at James’s house there in 1878.

Back in Berwick, in 1871, George Back Jnr was facing bankruptcy. Three years earlier, he had attempted to diversify selling ironmongery but to no avail. After three years of pitiful adverts attempting to offload a quantity of roof ridge tiles, George died in 1874.

It may have been then that Joseph Wheatherston acquired the property. He was a slater and plasterer from a family who had been in that trade for some years, starting (at least) with his grandfather Thomas Weatherston. Thomas had two sons, Joseph and William, who entered the family business. William (1799–before 1861) appears to have been working with his father from Chapel Street (1837) and then Woolmarket (1855). William was also the landlord of The Globe on Chapel Street. His brother Joseph was working in West Street. Joseph became a Councillor is 1859 and died in 1870. That year, Joseph Weatherston—son of William—took over the running of his uncle’s operation. He now lived at 1 College Place. In 1876 he was elected to Berwick Council and by 1885 become an Alderman. He later represented Berwick on Northumberland County Council.

Weatherston continued as a slater/plasterer for some time. Among the buildings he worked on were the Masonic Hall in 1862 (built on the site of a storage yard he owned) and the Literary and Scientific Institute (Library and Museum, now Costa Coffee) in 1871. In 1885, he had the remains of the old guard house by Scotsgate demolished and created Greenside Avenue and later, the Avenue Hotel.

Mundane Terry: *crying as Super Shlorpian Korvo comes in*

Super Shlorpian Korvo: Oh Terry, I’m sure it was an accident.

Mundane Terry sobs even harder

Mundane Terry: Oh Korvy… who am I kidding? I can’t control it…

Super Shlorpian Korvo: Yes you can. You just need to-

Suddenly, a crash comes in and Kandi show up.

Kandi: Hello Terald. Korey.

Super Shlorpian Korvo gasps and growls

Mundane Terry: Kandi?

Super Shlorpian Korvo: Terry, get behind me.

Kandi: Hi, Terry. I like your body better this way. How's the stomach?

Mundane Terry punches Kandi in the face, only for her to kick him in the leg as he screams in pain and then Shlorpian Randall for no good reason again.

Shlorpian Randall: Hey! Ah! We've been over this. All I do is say "hey."

Suddenly, Shlorpian Cooke comes in with a sci-fi gun.

Shlropian Cooke: Smart guns, white-list human life. And the doctor. ( Blasting ) Kandi, this is the place where my friends and family works to better itself.

Kandi: What, and that makes it sacred?!

Shlorpian Cooke: No, it makes it a place I've rigged with a lot of voice-activated escape contingencies. ( Clears throat ) These are all good points. I need to take a long look at myself.

Mundane Terry laughs. Shlropian Cooke shoots Kandi unconscious as the gang grabs Mundane Terry, Super Shlorpian Korvo and Shlorpian Weatherstone with them.

Shlorpian Weatherstone: Uh, what the fuck is going on?!

Mundane Terry: Uh, I think I might be a clone or not! I don’t know!

Super Shlorpian Korvo: What do you mean you don't know?!

The family then made it back to the house.

Mundane Terry: Can't you just make a weapon, Cooke?

Shlorpian Cooke: Your children are down there about to be invisible, Terry. "Make a weapon"? Father of the year back here.

Mundane Terry: Well, you're one to talk. You told me I wasn't a clone.

Shlorpian Cooke: Y-You're not a clone.

Then, the mysterious dictator appears offscreen as a shadow underneath the gang.

Mundane Terry: *pointing to the offscreen figure* And who is that?

The gang turned around and gasp upon seeing Evil Terry.

Shlorpian Cooke: Uh, uh, a clone.

Evil Terry: Wrong. I’m not a clone. And neither is Terry. I’m just his dictator doppelgänger from a different dimension.

Super Shlorpian Korvo gasps

Super Shlorpian Korvo: What?

Evil Terry throws his knife at Super Shlorpian Korvo but misses

Mundane Terry: Oh yeah… The LAKEHOUSE Device. That when Korvy try to turn me into something I am not and that made into a psycho. Glad it was in the past though.

Super Shlorpian Korvo looks at Mundane Terry in shock

Evil Terry: *surprised* Wait? You remember all of that. Damn, even I am that smart.

Super Shlorpian Korvo: Y-you remember… oh God… *weeps as Evil Terry look at him in surprise* well I still wish I hadn’t done that to you… I still feel awful and-

Mundane Terry kisses Super Shlorpian Korvo on the lips

Mundane Terry: *soothes Super Shlorpian Korvo’s face* It’s okay Korvy… *Evil Terry look astonished but surprised by this outcome* I still love you…

Super Shlorpian Korvo: I...I love you too!

The two alien monster husbands kiss as they moan lovingly. Evil Terry then grows amazed and shock by this outcome.

Evil Terry: Wow. That Korvo does care about the other me a lot.

It starts with Korvo and Terry sleeping until Lili starts crying

Korvo: *moans* Oh there there Lili. Daddy is here. *hops out of bed*

Korvo walks up to Lili's crib and picks her up

Korvo: Shh… shh

Then, Korvo starts singing a lullaby to Lili.

[KORVO]

Little sproutling, you are safe.

There is no to be afraid.

I am here right here in the night.

Don’t fear because I am here.

Little sproutling, it’s okay.

I will never go sailing away from you…

Lili coos and falls asleep

Korvo: Oh my sweet little sprout… *kisses Lili on the forehead and puts her back in her crib*

Terry: *yawns* I really love that lullaby you sang to our baby.

Korvo: Well, Janiz used to sing it to me when I couldn't sleep. I find it calming.

Terry: Aw, that was when you were sproutling too huh? Aw, lil baby Korvy…

Korvo blushes as he smiles

Korvo: Oh Terry…

Terry pulls Korvo into a kiss

Then, Korvo walk out of the kitchen while carrying Lili in a baby hangar, to find Terry and the kids painting another mural on the ceiling, but this time Korvo is amazed. *like the Gargoyle Ray Episode*

Korvo: Terry, are you painting another mural again?

Terry: Yeah. I know you're mad but-

Korvo: Oh no. I think it’s actually very creative and-

Jesse: *gets red paint splatted in her face by Yumyulack* Hey! Yumyulack! You got fucking paint in my face!

Yumyulack: *sprays red paint out with a paint gun* Choke on this Jesse!

Then, Sonya sprays aquamarine paint on Yumyulack who yelps.

Yumyulack: *screams in rage* Sonya! You little bitch! I’m gonna kill you!

Sonya: *sprays on Yumyulack; playfully* Make me!

Sonya accidently hits Korvo.

Korvo: Whoa! *smiling* you really got me there honey.

Sonya: Oops. Sorry Korvo.

Janiz and Kimber comes in and shock by the mess the kids are making as Terry join in on the paint fight.

Janiz: Oh my goodness. What a mess.

The family stops fighting.

Terry: Sorry. We were just having a paint fight.

Kimber laughs

Korvo: *chuckles* Okay, now you made me brought at the big guns for this art fight. *brings out the gargoyle ray* bring it on you motherfuckers!

Terry: *playfully* Bring it on, you beautiful smartass!

Janiz gasps.

Janiz: Wait wait! This is wrong… *gets out a mega paint gun* Ain’t fun without a huge amount of paint!

Yumyulack: Oh yeah!

The family starting playfully art fighting again as Korvo began have fun while holding Lili carefully. However, some of the blast of the gargoyle ray starts hitting at the house of the Solars’ mean-spirit neighbor Colleen.

Korvo: Oh shit.

Despite this, the family resume doing paint fighting again. The scene cuts to Colleen screaming in rage.

Colleen: Ugh! Not again! These neighbors are driving me crazy! Now they’re turning everything into gargoyles! The dog, now a gargoyle! The Mona Lisa, gargoyle! The phone, Gargoyle! That does it! I am calling Child Protective Services!

A few hours later, the family is exhausted

Korvo: Man, that was sweet-ass paint fight. I even love the mural you made. What is this time?

Terry: Mona Pupa.

Jesse giggles. The family look up at the mural of Pupa as Mona Lisa. Korvo sighs lovingly at Terry as he began to feel grateful into having Terry in his life.

Korvo: Terry-bear?

Terry: Yes?

Korvo: I love you so much...

Terry: *smiling* I love you too Korvy…

Korvo and Terry are about to kiss but... then, the family heard on a knock on the door, which caused the Solars to turn into their human forms. Human Kimber opens the door.

Human Kimber: Yes?

Suddenly, Child Protective Services bust through the house while one of them shoves Human Kimber.

Human Kimber: Hey!

Child Protective Service Officer: Everyone, freeze! Child Protection Services! We got an ominous tip that someone had been turning children into gargoyles in this house!

Human Korvo: What?! No! We weren't-

The Protective Service Officers look at the grown ups and then at the kids, as they realize Human Yumyulack, Human Jesse, Human Pupa, Sonya and Human Lili are the children.

Child Protection Service Officer: Ah-ha! These three teenagers, toddler and baby must be the children.

Human Yumyulack: Yeah. What's it to ya?

Child Protection Service Officer: You children are coming with us!

Human Korvo: What?! The hell they aren’t!

Human Terry: Yeah! You can’t take our kids away from us!

A Child Protection Service officer grabs Human Jesse's arm.

Human Jesse: *screams* Terry! Korvo! Help!

Human Terry gasps and grabs onto Human Jesse's other arm.

Human Terry: No! My baby! Don’t take my baby!

Child Protection Service Officer: Sir, I order you to let her go!

Human Terry: My baby!

Human Terry breaks down into tears as Human Korvo comforts him.

Human Yumyulack and Sonya: *gets grabbed by Child Protection Services* Aaah! Hey! Let us go you monsters! You motherfuckers! Fucking let us go! Korvo, Terry, help!

Human Pupa: *gets grabbed by one of the CPS officers; screams* Korvo! Terry! Help!

Human Korvo: Don't worry! We'll find a way to save you!

Then, the CPS Officer takes Human Lili away from Human Korvo as she starts crying.

Human Korvo: No! Lili!

The kids starts panicking and screaming as the CPS shoved them into the CPS as the adults watch in horror and distraught. As the CPS drive away Human Terry has a panic attack as he turns back into his Shlorpian form.

Terry: *panicking* Oh my God! My baby! My babygirl! Our babies! Those fuckers took our babies away from us!

Human Korvo gasps and turns back into his Shlorpian form as he comforts Terry

Korvo: Don’t worry Terry, we’ll find a way to rescue our kids.

Korvo has an idea.

Korvo: Okay. Janiz, Kimber, Evil Terry, get the AIs and meet me and Terry in our new family bus! We got a rescue mission to save our kids!

Human Evil Terry: Got it!

Korvo and Terry into their human forms as they go papa wolf.

Human Terry: Child Protective Services...YOU MET YOUR FUCKING MATCH!

Human Korvo: Come on Terry, we got five little sprouts to save!

Human Terry: Right! *kisses Korvo on the neck*

Human Korvo moans lovingly. Then, the scene cuts to the CPS with the Wingstop. Human Jesse is sobbing.

Sonya: Aw, don’t worry Jesse. Our daddies, Auntie Janiz, Kimber, Evil Terry and our AIs will come rescue us.

Human Jesse: *sniffles* I hope so...

Sonya sighs.

Human Korvo steps on the pedal, causing the bus to speed up. Human Terry then looks at the location and gasp as he remembers the place from the “Gargoyle Ray” episode.

Human Terry: Oh my God! I’ve been there before! Remember when Korvo and I got taken away by CPS?! I went to that place where I was saved by some doctor lady! I don’t know who she is but she thought I was a kid.

Human Janiz smiles. The scene then cuts to Javier’s School and Secret Government Where We Do Things to Kids?! where Dr. Weatherstone is checking on the recruits until she saw the Replicants, Pupa and Lili shapeshift back into their alien forms while her boss comes in.

Javier: Dr. Weatherstone, how are the new recruits!

Dr. Weatherstone: They're doing alright. And their shapeshifting powers are phenomenal!

Javier: What?! *sees the Replicants, Pupa and Lili* Those four out of those five children must be perfect! We must prep for surgery immediately!

Dr. Weatherstone: But sir, this is wrong.

Javier: Enough of this Weatherstone! You already failed last time with one of them last year, but this time it’s personal! Evil shit is finally going down!

Dr. Weatherstone: But sir-

Javier laughs evilly as he left. Dr. Weatherstone then makes a drastic decision.

Dr. Weatherstone: Oh my God… this isn’t right. I gotta help those five innocent angels! *hears a doorbell* Oh yeah taco salad, come to mama!

Meanwhile with the adults, they’ve finally arrived at the secret lab. Human Evil Terry gets out his knife and opens the hatch. The adults break in as they search everywhere for help.

Human Terry: HELP! *starts tearing up* PLEASE HELP!

Human Korvo: Hey hey! Easy Terry! What’s wrong?!

Human Terry: I'm looking for help!

Human Janiz: Well, these people can’t be trusted! Why do you want help now?!

Dr. Weatherstone suddenly appears

Dr. Weatherstone: What the hell?! Hey, you guys aren’t allowed in here! What’s going on?!

Human Terry: Hey! Nice to see you again!

Dr. Weatherstone: What the fuck?! Have we met?!

The adults look at each other and nod before turning into their Shlorpian forms

Terry: Now you remember me?!

Dr. Weatherstone gasps

Dr. Weatherstone: Wait a minute, I know you. You’re that adult that I thought was a kid.

Evil Terry blushes upon seeing Dr. Weatherstone

Korvo: We're here for our kids.

Terry: Those monsters are gonna experiment on our babies!

Dr. Weatherstone gasps

The adults rushed in the room where Dr. Weatherstone plays the last footage of the kids when they arrived here.

Dr. Weatherstone: *points to the Replicants, Pupa, Sonya and Lili* These five are your kids?!

Terry: Yeah, that's them!

Korvo: Those are our two sons and three daughters!

The adults rush to save the kids.

Korvo: Hang on kids! Daddy’s coming!

Meanwhile with the kids...

Jesse: Um guys, don’t you get the feeling this whole school is shady?

Yumyulack: Yeah...

Sonya: I know. Plus, I don’t think this Javier guy is very nice. He seems a bit suspicious don’t you think.

Jesse: Yeah. Better turn back into our human forms before he comes back.

The kids turn into their human forms. Suddenly... Javier came in and traps the kids with kid-size claws, except for human Lili.

Human Yumyulack: What the fuck is happening now?!

Suddenly Javier is knocked out by Human MAX

The human adults arrive as the kids gasp in joy

Human Pupa starts crying as he embraces Human Janiz who laughs and comforts Human Pupa. Dr. Weatherstone smiles.

Javier gets up as he growls as the family.

Javier: What the fuck are you doing?! You sick sci-fi pricks are ruining everything!

Javier: Dr. Weatherstone! I just happened to be here for the Project Dark Brilliance, and this is what I see when we adjourn? My assistant associating with confused, insignificant sci-fi lowlifes? Socializing with their kind is not how you move up in this secret lab! Come, Dr. Weatherstone!

Dr. Weatherstone: *finally putting her foot down* No sir!

Dr. Weatherstone: You've spent your life acting like a monster and raised me to follow in your footsteps! At first I thought this was fine, but then I finally realized I wanted something you don't have – a family!

Javier: That's enough, Dr. Weatherstone! Step away from those monsters!

Dr. Weatherstone: These are the Solar Opposites, and they are my friends! You need to stop calling them such mean and fucking disgusting names! They are working harder to fit in than anyone I've ever seen! And they will get them exactly when they discover their true selves, which I guarantee will be amazing! Now, will you please leave those kids alone?!

Javier is shocked by Dr. Weatherstone putting her foot down

Javier: What?! After all we’ve work so hard on?!

Dr. Weatherstone: Yeah.

Javier: *snapping* Why you little…

Human Korvo kicks Javier in the face.

Human Korvo: That’s for trying to dissect my kids, you fucker!

The Solars leave with Dr. Weatherstone following them

Dr. Weatherstone: *to Javier* Oh and by the way… I quit!

Human Evil Terry smiles. Dr. Weatherstone slammed the door shut as she and the Solars run to their bus. During the drive home, Evil Terry and Dr. Weatherstone look at each other and blush as romantic music plays

Evil Terry: I have to admit. You were pretty brave.

Dr. Weatherstone smiles and removes her hair tie.

Dr. Weatherstone: *giggles while blushing* Thanks.

Evil Terry blushes because Dr. Weatherstone is beautiful with her hair down

Evil Terry: You look very pretty with that hair down. You even have a cute smile.

Dr. Weatherstone blushes and leans in and kisses Evil Terry on the cheek

Dr. Weatherstone: Thank you… for helping me stand up for myself and for you guys too…

Evil Terry smiles and surprises Dr. Weatherstone by kissing her on the lips. The two started to main lovingly as they continue to kiss while the kids look away and cover their eyes in disgust.

Yumyulack, Jesse, Pupa and Sonya: Eew. Gross. Come on, boo! Yucky! Aw guys, right now?! Yuck! Blegh!

Evil Terry and Dr. Weatherstone stop kissing and blush

The Solars arrive home and Evil Terry carries Dr. Weatherstone to the bedroom

Evil Terry and Dr. Weatherstone take off their clothes as they makeout and starts to have sex for the first time as they moan lovingly while Evil Terry dominates Dr. Weatherstone.

Later, Korvo tucks the children into bed and closes the door.

Korvo: I am so happy our children are back home, safe and sound.

Terry: Me too.

Korvo: *yawns* Shall we head to our bedroom, my darling Terry-bear?

Terry: Yeah...

The two husbands then head to their bedroom. A few seconds later, Korvo tucks Lili to bed and gives her a kiss on the forehead as she coos in her sleep. The two husband then tuck themselves in as they kiss each other good night.

Korvo: Good night Terry-bear…

Terry: Night, Korvy...

The two husbands kiss each other on the lips good night and heads to sleep as they snuggle and cuddle with each other lovingly.

A few seconds later… the heroes get into Evil Terry’s fortress.

Mundane Terry: Woah. This place is fancy!

Super Shlorpian Korvo: Yeah, I have the name of the decorator.

Mundane Jesse: Who is he or she?

???: Me!

Super Shlorpian Yumyulack: notices doors closing Uh, guys? Why are all the doors closing?!

Were-Kraken Sonya: I don’t know and who was that voice.

Suddenly, a door opens and a figures walks towards them.

Mundane Terry: Whoa. No way…

Aqrabuamelu Phoebe: Huh?

Super Shlorpian Korvo: No…it can’t be.

Super Shlorpian Janiz: Oh my God…

Mundane Jesse: Holy similar…

To their shock, the figure looks like an evil version of Terry with women’s eye shadow and dictator clothes with a T on it.

???: Well well well. So nice to see the family all together.

Super Shlorpian Yumyulack: What the fuck? Terry, he looks like you…

Super Shlorpian Korvo: That’s because it IS Terry.

Mundane Terry: What?! He is?! How?!

Super Shlorpian Korvo explains everything.

Super Shlorpian Korvo: I think he might be a different version of you from a different timeline!

Then Mudane Terry realize what he meant and laughs

Super Shlorpian Korvo groans in frustration.

Mundane Terry: Hey. It’s okay… to be honest… I should’ve been more helpful. But, I know you never mean to hurt me. Because, I still love you Korvy…

Super Shlorpian Korvo smiles. As the two husbands kiss and moan, they then dodge a knife thrown by Evil Terry as they sigh in relief.

Evil Terry: Ugh! Always love with you, Korv. By the way, you look bulgier then when I killed you.

Mundane Terry: Hey don’t talk to my husband like that!

Evil Terry is shocked by the term “husband” but then starts laughing.

Evil Terry: No way! That stupid idiot is your husband, oh looks at were-kraken Sonya and who is this little octopus girl?

Were-Kraken Sonya: I’m their daughter!

Evil Terry: What?! You adopted a monster?

Mundane Jesse: Hey! She is not a monster! She is sweet brave smart human teenage girl!

Super Shlorpian Korvo: You shut…shut…

The rest of the family grin in joy because they know what Super Shlorpian Korvo is gonna say!

Evil Terry: What’s with you?

Super Shlorpian Korvo: SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH BITCH! IT’S YOUR FAULT WE’RE ALL HER BECAUSE OF YOU, IF YOU HADN’T BEEN A HUGE ASSHOLE AND KIDNAP SOME OF OUR FRIENDS, WE WOULD NEVER BEEN IN THIS HELLHOLE IN THE FIRST PLACE, BUT THAT ENDS TODAY!

Evil Terry smirks evilly.

Evil Terry: Well, someone’s taking a stand for the first time in their fucking life!

Super Shlorpian Korvo: I’m not done. Look what I have done, and look what you done. Ugh, if I haven’t been so selfish and send those godawful letters to turn into someone you are not, and now I’ve turn into someone who is rude, mean and selfish and I am so sorry I did to this. Now, you just hate yourself and we all know it

Evil Terry rolls his eyes.

Super Shlorpian Korvo: OH, YOU DID NOT JUST-

Mundane Terry: Easy Korvo, I got this. walks to Evil Terry Evil me, I know what your Korvo did what’s wrong. But, you didn’t have to go and hurt people. Plus, that Korvo wanted to fix everything to make things up with you and you end up destroying that chance.

Evil Terry: Oh please. I’m a better person because of his choices.

Mundane Terry: No. You are not. Now you are all alone, hurting people and you don’t even care. Plus, killing is wrong. And I know you don’t want the side of you to change, but trust me what you are right now is very wrong….

Mundane Terry is suddenly stabbed in the chest by Evil Terry.

Evil Terry: You and your husband talk too much.

But luckily, the wound manage to heal because of Mundane Terry’s power as he grins.

Mundane Terry: Oh really?

Evil Terry: What?! How is that-

Mundane Terry: I’m half Mundane bitch! Wounds always heal easily for half-Mundanes in the family!

Mundane Jesse: Fuck yeah!

Super Shlorpian Korvo: That’s right! It doesn’t matter how powerful you are because this time, you’re going down!

Super Shlorpian Yumyulack: Yeah! That’s right!

Evil Terry smirks evilly and uses a giant laser beam on Super Shlorpian Korvo, Super Shlorpian Yumyulack, and Mundane Jesse. The laser is too powerful to break free from. Luckily Mundane Terry uses his lava powers on the laser beams and his family is free. Then, Were-Kraken Sonya sees her chance and laser eyes near Evil Terry.

Evil Terry: DAMN IT! NO!

Mundane Terry: It’s over Evil Me…

Evil Terry punches the wall in anger.

Super Shlorpian Yumyulack, Mundane Jesse and Were-Kraken Sonya: Whoa!

Mundane Terry: Yeesh. I really do have some anger issues to work out…

Super Shlorpian Korvo laughs and kisses Mundane Terry on the cheek.

Super Shlorpian Janiz: It’s over Evil Terry. It’s time for this to stop!

Evil Terry starts crying

Evil Terry: finally realizing how horrible and tragic are I-I just wanted to be loved….

Super Shlorpian Korvo walks towards Evil Terry.

Super Shlorpian Korvo: I’m sorry for what other me did to you… it was wrong… I should’ve never try to change you into something are you not…

Evil Terry wipes away his tears.

Evil Terry: realizing what Korvo meant You-you are?

Super Shlorpian Korvo: Yes.

Mundane Terry smiles.

Super Shlorpian Korvo: I wish… other me could’ve been your husband..

Evil Terry: Korv…I am so sorry. I just-

Mundane Terry: You don’t have to apologize. You were just trying… to be perfect… but deep down Korvo never wanted me to perfect… he just wanted me to be me…

Super Shlorpian Korvo smiled. Evil Terry looks at his knife and realizes what he did was wrong as he begin to give in remorse. Evil Terry drops the knife.

Evil Terry: I am ready… to turn myself in….

Mundane Terry: Huh?

The Solar Monsters look at each other and then notices Evil Terry holding his hand out for cuffs.

Super Shlorpian Korvo: We’re not gonna…

Mundane Terry: We’re not gonna turn you in… but first can you tell us where our friends are

A remorseful evil Terry nods in shame to tell them where they are.

Evil Terry: They’re in my induction chamber…

Later, the Monster Solars freed their friends as they reunite in joy.

Super Shlorpian Yumyulack: Babe!

Mutant Zombie Mark smiles and embrace his sweet doting boyfriend. They then look at Evil Terry, who remorsefully walks to them, but Dr. Weatherstone offers her hand while the others smile with reassurance that they forgive him once the others told them everything
