Hidden beauty -watercolour on 15×22 cm This, my friends, is not only my first painting after a long time, but my first drawing in 2022! And the Timing could not be more perfect, because it's the Year of the tiger! (One of my all time favourite animals, btw...🥰🐅) I used a similar painting as a reference for this one but changed some things and did it in my own style. You know that problem... When it comes to speak about the problems of an artist, the first thing ever will mentioned is motivation. "I'm not good enough." "Maybe later..." "I don't know what to draw." Okay, first: it's okay to feel unmotivated from time to time. Everybody has these days where you only want to sit in your bed and eat chocolate. But there are a few tricks to get your motivation back: 1st: Check out other artists. Let them or their works inspire you. I don't mean to compare yourself with them. That's not the point. But maybe you say "wow, this is such a nice artwork. Let's try this one and see how it will turn out!" 2nd: Try something new. A few months ago I had the problem that all my pencil and charcoal works wouldn't turn out well. I started to get frustrated and unmotivated. So I started a complete new style: Watercolour. It was completely different from what kind of art I did usually. But it was a lot of fun and my motivation went back fast! 3rd: Just do it. To have a passion for something is not a guarantee not to feel unmotivated. Yes. But maybe all you need is to start. Just a little. And a little more. And more. Turn on your favourite music or start watching your favourite movie or Series or whatever. While listening/watching you can start to do some easy scribblings. It's not much, but it's a beginning. And mostly your motivation will come back once you have started. These tipps were helpful to you? Safe this post, maybe you want to read it again!
