quick comic about smth that happened to me in blaze black lol.

OH SNAP! HERE WE GO AGAIN! FROM THE TOP!

WHO’S OC IS IT ANYWAY!?

AHHHHHHH so me and @pazam decided to give a crack at doing a “Who’s OC is it anyway!?” challenge like I did with my other friend before!! This one was real interesting and I ended up taking some creative liberty with figuring this one out— end I ended up with a REALLY BANGER DESIGN WAIT PLEASE WHAT GHTRGR

I named her Dreamyard! She’s a bit of a mystical entity that emits a sweet incense-like smoke all around her— most notably through her nose! She’s a very dainty creature (might even be a species…?) that aimlessly floats about while leaving behind a sweet aroma in her path. Though the smoke is thick, it’s spoken to have healing properties and can help relax restless souls in desperate need of a better day! Her softer colors are pleasant to admire up close and she makes a great companion to sit down and chat to, even when she doesn’t say much all the time. Other than that, she can also be quite a goofy character when in a really good mood, twirling around in the air or trying to puff out specific shapes with her colorful smoke!

Words are not always her forte— she might make little noises in delight or sorrow, or really whatever she’s feeling at the moment, but talking aloud is limited to when she’s feeling stimulated enough to feel the need to. Other than that, she’s got a good knack for noticing little details in colors and has a… pretty scarily impressive talent in memorizing colors and their hex codes! Quite a charming specimen! Not sure how she figured that out but to each their own!

Anyways what I wanna know is how the dreamyard has changed pokemon territories. Have munna always lived there?? Why was there a sighting of a Latios there?? Do psychic types just like industrial machinery?

All the papers I find on it go ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ and I am burning with questions

Hello! Yes there do seem to be a lot of science-oriented blogs here on Rotomblr. But yeah that's an excellent question!

I'll be honest, psychic types are not my forte and I haven't studied this myself, but I have had the opportunity to assist Dr. Fennel occasionally with experiments. Here's what I know:

Munna and Musharna did not originate from the Dreamyard, and Fennel's lab has actually observed that the Dreamyard population is very similar other wild populations, they're just a lot harder to monitor in the wild. Munna and Musharna are able to live just as readily in deciduous forests/grasslands where there are lots of other wild Pokemon (for a supply of dreams to eat) and hiding places.

We know that there are some really interesting geological phenomena throughout Unova - Chargestone Cave, for example. We do not have a comprehensive map of all locations and many are difficult to access/not well researched. Fennel suspects there is a psychic-attracting geological phenomenon in the bedrock below where the Dreamyard is now, and that the Pokemon Energy Laboratory created an accidental increase in its power. It is still giving off strong energy waves that we think psychic types are particularly attuned to (like electric types with Chargestone Cave). At the moment, there's no strong evidence to suggest the machinery was terribly influential, other than causing so much trouble.

Investigating the bedrock below the Dreamyard isn't feasible at the moment, as any attempts to drill a core sample have resulted in...unpleasant disturbances.

As to Latios/Latias sightings...we don't know.

Actually with my issue with not using pokemon from a different gen than im playing bw is pretty good for a nuzlocke I will say though the first 2 routes having only the same 3 pkmn in them does piss me off

It’s fairly chill place! Not the largest city out there but it’s no Nuvema Town lol. A lot of the buildings are pretty old, built back when the roads were dirt, lots of old red brick. On some buildings the outer coats of more modern paint flake away from weathering and reveal old advertisements underneath that were originally painted on the brick back in the day. Stuff like oatmeal or soda or old potion ads.

The gardens are a nice place to hang out, you can kinda tell the kind of person you’re hanging with whether they go out to the gardens and chill amongst topiaries or hop the no trespassing signs on the wrecked fence around the Dreamyard.

No idea why they call it that, not quite sure what the facility there was meant for before it was abandoned. But it catches the attention of urban explorers, high schoolers looking to find a place to go hide and smoke, and occasionally criminals. I know there’s a group of punks who hang out in a branch of the inner facility but to call them a gang would be a bit of an overestimation, they’ll be rude if you hang out in their zone but worst you’ll get is a pokemon battle. Some of them are pretty chill once you beat them, some were kinda bitter when I did lol.

But the Dreamyard is like right out of town in the woods and it’s probably the most exciting thing we have here. Like yes there’s the gardens and trainer school and restaurant, but unless you like old buildings and well trimmed plants it’s not Nimbasa 😭

But it’s a peaceful place and the restaurant in the gym is actually pretty good quality food. I’ve been working there for a couple months and while I would have been a waiter and trainer for the gym my team’s levels are too high level for that, so just a waiter it is. I get a free meal on my shift though, so that’s cool. If you ever visit I recommend checking it out.

The Dreamyard’s the singed ruins of the once Pokemon Energy Labratory. About five years ago, this swath of land was left abandoned due to dangerous levels of psychic energy saturating the air. Today, it serves as a Munna and Musharina nest, and is slowly being reopen to the public as a conservation site.

Are the children in awe of the Dreamyard’s fridge horror history? Probably not. Are they enjoying themselves in the spooky abandoned ruins? Definitely.
