I've been wanting to do this illustration/animation for a minute now. I was inspired by when I got violently ill after Christmas and popped the blood vessels in my eyes and someone said I looked like vampire. This definitely looks cooler than my eyes did for two weeks. Just to be clear, this is by no means suppose to be a self portrait (I'm looking at my family when I say this).
(also please let me know if I should add some trigger warnings to this. It's certainly not as graphic as it could be but I'm not trying to harm anyone)
Y'all are getting my wip animation this week because I've been busy working on something I can't share. So back in college I watched this drama called Quartet because one of my favorite singers was in it, thinking the show would have singing. Long story short, I was very wrong anyway there's a fight in the 1st ep and one of the characters does a very silly punch in this very intense fight so I wanted to recreate it with my villain OC, Calamity.
Here’s the original clip from Quartet for those curious: https://youtu.be/j6M24PoWteg?t=29
Finally cleaned up and colored the animation I did back in October. Could've been done by now if I hadn't delayed clean up so long but I made it through. So enjoy Calamity just clocking some random hero.
It's been quite a while since I did an animation for myself. I call this "Don't Tell Me to Smile" featuring my OC Crystal. This was a nice exercise to get back into animating.
My OC Senon wants to wish everybody a Happy Halloween!!! I did the rough of this animation 2 years ago and I finally finished it! I'm so happy I finished it!
The audio is from the ouran host club dub bloopers.
As some of you know, I completed my senior film Gotcha! In the spring of 2018. Since then Gotcha! has been a part of 7 film festivals (2 of which I had the privilege to attend in person before the pandemic forced many festivals to adapt digitally). Gotcha! Claimed its final laurel early January 2021 when it won a Silver Award (3rd place) at the Spotlight Short Film Awards.
It’s been wonderful showing Gotcha! to a variety of audiences and I’m proud of the work my crew and I have done to get this far. But with Gotcha! being an older short now and the pandemic making film fests difficult, I think it's finally to release Gotcha! to the public. I know several people who’ve been waiting for this for a hot minute… Enjoy!!!
I know I haven’t posted much lately but I wanted to share this big project I worked on last spring! All of the visuals from the intital sketches to the final animation were done by me. The concept/script was written by Seth Samuels and directed by Hilary Hess.
Below the cut is some of the initial sketches and the background art for the project.
Happy Halloween! I've had this idea in the back of my head for about a year. Unfortunately, I didn't get to finish it in time but I still wanted to share the wip.
I've been working on a commission for an ad for the past few months that I finished up this weekend. It's animated in Toon Boom Harmony and concept art and layouts were done in Photoshop. It's been awhile since I've built and animated a puppet so it was nice to get back into.
Here is one of the styleframes and a couple of the layouts I did for the project. My client gave me a lot of wonderful images to work off of, so all of the jewelry drawn in the ad are based off of actual work done by the students of Jewelry Club
Doing the animatic and boards was an interesting challenge since I've only done either using Storyboard Pro. Since I no longer had the program, I had to adapt to what I did I have on hand.

Once I have them all together, I’ll share the sketches on the girl later.
My senior film Gotcha! was selected to be a part of The Ocean City Film festival! This is the 1st festival for my film and I'm so excited that its one so close to home!

I made a trailer for my senior film that my team and I finished this past spring and I wanted to share it. Right now I’m submitting this film to festivals so I can’t share the whole thing at the moment. Once It hits online, I’ll share the whole thing but for now enjoy this little teaser.
It’s been a minute since I posted something that isn’t for a birthday since most of what I’m working on is hush hush business at the moment. However, I will share this snippet from my film “Gotcha!” which is in production at the moment. Look forward to the full film one day.
I’ve been posting a few things about this over the course of 10 weeks and I’m proud to present the finished product. This little short is for my 2D Production class and although I hit a few bumps along the way, I was able to produce a satisfactory result. I may go back later and add somethings I didn’t get to include due to time reasons. Anyway here it is!
