I haven't sat down at my cintiq all month so time for some pics from one of my sketchbooks for today. I'm really hoping I can do some new art over the weekend so we'll see what happens.

It's been hectic lately so I'm resharing some old art today!

Been thinking about my dnd character a lot lately. I've been in a few campaigns and love playing as paladin but this is the first time I've used spells. Let me tell you divine smite is gonna be my buddy. I wanted to play around with how divine smite might look like for Zita since she's a follower of Pan and has taken an Oath of the Ancients.

I'm going to try and have some art of my other party members in the future (possibly near) but gotta figure out what.

Let's go week 3! Went a little hard on the first drawing I did this week but I had a blast doing all of the drawings. Incredibly busy this month so I'm only doing a few attacks but it is what it is.

Nothing new this week as I did some traveling and started on a new commission last week.

Decided to go through some old digital sketches again for this week's post. I decided to try something a bit different for the background and it may just be the highlight despite the original sketch not even having a background. But what better than a low stakes drawing to experiment on.

Started playing a new dnd campaign last week so it's time to share my new character! Meet Tempest Stormclaw, a bronze dragonborn paladin with a fatal flaw of just really wanting to help folks. She has some intense scarring and people feel the presence of death if they hang out with her too long.

I'm always avoiding drawing my OCs in profile so this was a way to push myself. Can't improve if you don't practice, right? Heather's enjoying a rainy day. I actually drew this a month ago and delayed posting because of mermay. I almost forgot I never posted this.

To end mermay, I thought it would be nice to do a little animation. Here's my boy Jaheem swimming. This was going to be a gif but the file was too big.

I was struck with the desire to do a jellyfish mermaid. This was the second version of this drawing and like how it turned out.

This week is the shadow twins Khiara and Maura. Maybe I should've used a more contrasting duo for this overlapping pose but it was fun drawing them. I really like how the sketch came together in the end.

This week we have a mer zombie with Mas. He's also has his skelekitty. One of these days I'll draw these two's anatomy accurately.

It's time for some OC Mermay art! I'm looking forward to having a theme for this month. Starting off this year, I have the friend duo Parivash and Cherry. I want to explore more interactions with OCs that have connections that I don't draw together consistently.
