On the topic of existing as an adult. How do people even have the energy to wake up and do anything except the bare minimum in the morning? Are there people out there who do that who follow me? I am fascinated by you.

I wake up 30 minutes before my shifts start and I live a 5 minute drive from work. I spend like 5 minutes "mentally" waking up, 5 minutes getting dressed (just work pants + overshirt + visor + shoes) and tying up my hair, and like 5 minutes checking Twitter/tumblr/texts. If I eat anything I usually eat it on the drive to work and in the car before I go in. I don't wear makeup and I don't wear anything fancy. Yet there are people who are doing shit like going to the gym or walking their dog or taking showers hours before work starts? Girl wtf I'm going to the shadow realm when I sleep and I'm not leaving until it's statistically impossible for me to be on time for whatever obligation I have to be at. Where did teenage girls get the willpower to do makeup at 5am in high school. What the fuck

the other day, I got off the sofa to mess with the radio station on the boombox. touched the radio. big zap. radio then would not let me change the station or even shut it off. on/off button did NOTHING. hello??

I unplugged it and plugged it back in real quick (it has like a 30-second power storage so it doesn't loose preprogrammed stations in a power surge/while moving it around) and it was fine after. but like. sorry, radio. u_u

every time I have to text my landlord to tell him something needs to be fixed I feel so bad, but isn’t it my right to reach out to the landlord about maintenance things? I’m not used to doing this without someone else to consult the issue with, maybe y’all can help. This is what I sent him after sending a hello and sorry for being a pain text:

The basement floor has gotten wet near the washer and dryer, probably from all the rain. The little carpet next to the dryer was saturated. It’s really moist down there so a few of my boxes have gotten a little moldy. That’s on me for keeping cardboard directly on the floor. I’m planning to move some stuff to the dryer side of the basement, but it’s hard for me to stay down there for long periods of time because I have asthma. There’s a ton of sawdust, so between that, the little bit of mold, and how moist it is it’s just not great. I feel bad even complaining because I know how lucky I am to have the extra storage and the on-site laundry, like I’m super grateful for it. I just wanted to bring some of this to your attention. Idk if there’s a way to rent like a large de-humidifier just to dry the place out or something? I have a small one that I’ve been using in the sun room. I had it in the basement but I was emptying it like every four hours. I’d even pay to have a cleaning service come if it comes to that but I wanted to reach out to you first

the breaker box for my apt is in such fucking terrible shape and just when i think maybe it'll work something new breaks and it's fucking raining outside but i was still out flipping breakers and i couldn't fix it and my washer and dryer aren't fucking working and well if i get electrocuted and die someone can just drop my dead body on the front steps of my leasing company's office

So, it's currently about 10°C outside, I need to wear a jacket inside, and my upstairs tenants are running MULTIPLE air conditioners.

Are my tenants (on an "utilities included" rental agreement) being assholes, or is this just "landlord brain" kicking in? 'Cuz seriously, I can't afford the bill from the ppl upstairs, & they don't seem to give a shit... am I missing something?
