✔️ The “world-altering event” that cc!Dream teased will be the catalyst into season two is the Egg

✔️ It’ll be set sometime in the future from the current story, but will be a continuation nonetheless with the same characters

✔️ Everyone has a canon death during the finale - kinda. Was at least correct for egglore

Well, I'm not leaving this fandom. I'm only supporting existing fanart/fics from now on. Hopefully this will end cc idolization, and maybe the fandom will eventually heal. I hope i'm not the only one too attached to let go just yet. Hopefully the others can continue to thrive even with the stain he's left them with.

DSMP VOLUME ONE FINALE SPOILERS

OK OK I HAVEN’T WATCHED THE LORE FINALE FOR VOLUME ONE YET BUT I WANTED TO CLARIFY THAT THIS IS ALMOST CERTAINLY NOT A MEMORY WIPE!! (At least I hope not because if it is I will be FUMING but there’s evidence)

C!Puffy’s skin she showed off for season 2 had her as the Egg Queen, which means that her character from Volume One would be transferred over to Volume 2. This HOPEFULLY means that everyone else’s character will stay the same too!!!! I hope!!!!! (Please I do not want a server where the DSMP characters aren’t themselves anymore I would genuinely be so sad)

im too hungover to put tags in ops notes but a time loop DOES go crazy for the dsmp ending. and not just because id already settled on the “there is no end because xd has cut it off/it’s his domain” theory (i can go find my post, i’d garden of eden-coded it i think) but because it’s awesome it makes sense for all the “bigger” story elements in terms of scale (time travel/tales, xd, limbo) and pulls it all together. i’m happy with that ending. it doesn’t feel like it cheapens the entire plot like it does with the nuke finale because the implication that this is the first server reset sucks sooo bad but if it’s been happening? for maybe a thousand times? THAT makes sense. and the lmanberg plotline is literally some guys having a character arc like Bro Doesn’t Know We’re In The Time Loop 🤣 anyway probably still not a perfectly satisfying ending if you’re a ctommy or lmanberg-centric pover but with that many storylines and characters you’re not GONNA get a one-size-fits-all ending without intense planning ahead so i think this is the best we got. and in a better world i would’ve loved to see how volume 2 played out after THIS finale

listen, while im as happy as everyone else that dsmp volume 2 isnt happening, it is kind of sad since the possiblity of having a great ending that actually gives closure to this characters that we have been following for years was sacrificed in order to have a setup for something that will never happen, they ruined the finale thinking it was in favor of volume 2 but it never came

its just a lose-lose situation, they made a shitty finale thinking it was gonna be the start of something great and it didnt even fucking end up happening, leaving both ccs and fans dissapointed

i dont post much about dsmp anymore, but i truly believe that the one time that most of if not the entire fandom really came together is when the cc's were talking about the revamp or something that never happened, and they wanted to call it "season 2".

i remember people actually fighting to have them call it "volume 2" instead seeing as we were literally already going by seasons .

Fuck DSMP volume 2 I pray every day that Tubbo stays far away from it and claims it's bc he's "too busy". He's talked about how much DSMP Vol 1 meant to him and how he grew up on that server and I can respect the memories that the Vol 1 server holds but I really hope he plans to move on to bigger and better things now that the world has reset, esp because it's pretty clear atp that most of his audience is sticking around whether he does season 2 or not
