Thing I just texted my younger cousin, mid-afternoon on a Tuesday:

“Hey! Remember how I said that it would be cool if William killed Charlie to get Henry out of jail? Well what if that's why the Take Cake to the Children mini game spells out "Save Him" instead of "Save Her"? It’s so funny and so wild to me that the biggest argument I feel like you can make against the dual process Fnaf theory is just that Scott Cawthon isn’t that good of a writer 😭😭😭 like it’s narratively cohesive and you COULD ARGUE that is not something Scott cawthon would be able to pull off

I know the theory by dual process theory is being one of the most heavily accepted theories now, but would be ok if just outright rejected it do to how much I’ve grown to love the character of Cassidy?

Tbh I don't believe it personally for a whole bunch of reasons, so I'd say yeah lol

As interesting as their theory is, its foundational evidence tends to be either incorrect (Golden Freddy did not have face plates, and as such could not have been the SL springlock suit. Bonnie may be able to have his entire face lifted off but that is definitely not the same thing and not even the same line of animatronics as Fredbear. Additionally, the Golden Freddy we see in UCN looks pretty much exactly like FNAF 1 Golden Freddy and doesn't have the purple accessories needed to be Fredbear as they claim) or very easily countered (Michael Afton has a British accent and was not killed by William. The Vengeful Spirit has an American accent and very specifically is the one William should not have killed, probably because if he hadn't killed them he wouldn't have ended up in UCN. Additionally, if the name Cassidy belonged to the Crying Child, why would the faded text spirit be writing "my name" to point to the clues? After all, the altered text in the word search does ask "what is your name" so it would make sense for the other spirit to respond by pointing to letters in the word search instead of altering it like CC)

Anyway yeah. Just cuz something is popular doesn't mean you should feel bad for not believing it, and you may just actually be right
