The second patch in this video (embed should start at it) sold me a drone synth. Ordered from Moog Audio in Canada because I'm going cold turkey off Amazon and as much US-based suppliers or US-owned companies as possible (Dubreq Stylophone is UK-based).

Have also resolved to hit the fuckin' RECORD button on my Zoom R16 mixer with it. Hold me to it folks.

LORENZO OLDSEN - Co-Commander of the G.L.F light cruiser Fairlight, alongside partner Captain Isel. Bit of a looker, but also a slightly disappointing shag. Scottish Wildcat. (Episode 34)

MOHAMMED CORRA - Captain of the Independent Coalition maintenance ship Hannover. Of Egyptian stock. Defected from the Stellar Federation a while back. Cat. (Episode 34)

ANNA HARTLEPOOL - Another Coalition officer. Commander of the guided missile destroyer Mexico City. Once tried to blow up the Fairlight as part of a targeting exercise. Got a decoy instead. German Shepherd. (Episode 34)

HAL PENNANT - The Simon Mayo of the Independent Coalition. Hosts the biggest fly-time radio show in the whole territory. Border Collie. (Episode 34)

ZOE FALCON - Hal’s co-host, and very much the Jo Whiley of the pair. Frequently acts as a voice of reason in Hal’s energetic evening entourage. Grey Squirrel. (Episode 34)

OLIVER KENNEDY (again) - Yep, I know he’s appeared before, but this is him in his brainwashed form, during the season-wide story arc of his disappearance and subsequent betrayel of Jaws and her crew. Still a Red Squirrel. (Episodes 35-37)

HENRYKA DUBREQ - Governess of the war-torn planet of Inleus. Discovered by the crew of the Stellar Typhoon after they answer her distress call. Subsequently became an agent of the G.L.F. Cat. (Episode 36)

NIGEL MULLOY - Was the main Wing Commander for the Oshan Akuma. Met his end when a plan to infiltrate and destroy the Stellar Typhoon failed, resulting in his own destruction. Weasel. (Episode 37)

Cards from a horror-themed edition of the popular British game ‘Top Trumps’, produced by Dubreq in the late 1970s. While unlicensed and thus relying mainly on public-domain monster archetypes (i.e. ‘Wolf Man’, ‘Martian Warrior’, etc), the artwork used on many of the actual cards shows an obvious influence from various horror films. Here, Lon Chaney’s 1925 Phantom is doing double-duty as ‘The Hangman’ and ‘Lord of Death’---while in the meantime the actual ‘Phantom of the Opera’ card features an appearance by the Abominable Dr. Phibes!
