worm, the web serial. ASTLIBRA Revision, a really good sidescroller jrpg. dungreed, another roguelite. a great genderbending manga called the witch's servant and the demon lord's horns. dont judge it by the title, it's truly very sweet.

the thing is I have a few more, but the reason I have a few more is that for a few years I kind of played a lot of roguelites without realizing that actually I don't like roguelites at all so like Hades is so nothing to me. but I don't have nearly as much of a reason to say so as to say Dungreed, Chasm or Gungeon are ass in comparison bc I played them for longer also

then there's the fact that I don't give much time to fuel my disappointment when I can just play something else, which is why I think about Chasm once a year and not every single day of my life

and disappointment is a really depressing emotion to foster!

This post ended up being a lot longer than I thought it was going to be initially. Games towards the top are in more recent memory while most games descending towards the bottom I haven't played in a bit, but with many exceptions that I don't care to point out.

2年目4月13日深夜のDungreed配信中に頂いたお手書きです

二刀流アクションで素早く切りつけるうさぎ！でも腰が入ってないかわいい！

この日は深夜に寝付けなくて突発的に積んでるゲームで遊ぶ配信をしたのですがそこで起動したのがこの『Dungreed』

所謂2Dローグライトアクションなのですが画面の動きも敵の攻撃もかなり激しく雑魚敵からボスまできちんと相手のアクションの性質を把握していないと被弾は免れないといったハードコアなゲームでした！

一晩でやり切るのはちょっと難しかったですが2Dドットのキャラクターが大きな武器を小さな腕でチョコチョコ振り回す姿は可愛いしノウハウを積んで1階層また1階層と少しずつ深く潜れるようになるのはシューティングゲームを少しずつ攻略していくようなパターン構築の感覚に似ていて楽しかったです

その後人に聞いた話によると完全クリアまで狙おうとすると相当にしんどいらしいのですけれどやり応えも抜群というところでしょうか…

My newest SAMS fic idea.

OC-insert SAMS (sun and moon show) story.

Seeing as there is none around, I want to add my character to the story as their handler. (the other story is still being written very slowly but i'm low on motivation so that will be slow.)

OC names: Skylar Nova West. 29 years old. Enby. - AFAB. - They/Them - enjoys feminine things. AuDHD.

Child to two eccentric parents, an Astronomer mother and a Father who was a Software Engineer, who definitely knew his way around complex machinery.

Was the DCA Handler when the boys were still theater bots and fought for them to be split apart as their ‘mental health’ was tanking and moon wasnt going to give up on this, so they may as well help them.

They were hired because their CV showed that they had dabbled working in childcare and their father had taken them on as an apprentice when they were in school,

Assigned to help the Theater duo with their performances, keeping the kids in line and away from the stage and helping the animatronics with their costumes if they ever needed them.

Skylar was kept as their handler when the DayCare was built and the boys were repurpoused.

They start to see changes in their friend. Changes that made management turn around and offer them a room in the PizzaPlex itself, no rent, no extra cost, just keep the DCA in check - Basically they were their Emotional Support Human (and 'therapist').

Okay, so you mentioned a couple roguelites, right? Uh, dungreed, skul? Gungeon, twenty minutes till dawn... Where do those stand on those criteria you mentioned? If I can only play one, what would be the deciding factor for choosing one as opposed to the other?

hard to say... a lot is personal enjoyment honestly. of that list i wont say any is necessarily better than the other. whichever one looks like the gameplay appeals to you the most after watching a trailer? skul is a platformer, dungreed the same, 20 minutes is one of them new "survivor" games, gungeon is a 2d shooter. of the criteria i mentioned before, i think skul: the hero slayer is the best. it has the most unique ideas, the most leniency when making builds, the most player expression. gungeon close second, though that's mostly due to how robust the secrets and meta progression are compared to the build making. kinda lacking there.
