I love your clan profile right off the bat, pixel art and a fun vertical banner 💕 Your lair has interesting colors that feel colorful but not too saturated, very nice & unique.

I am in love with her colors and I am ngl I fancy that accent, especially when it’s not used for festive outfits. The spines are a nice pop of blue amid the warm tones, it’s not too much! Love the detail of using the summer swelter & sage tassel to really draw together the gold warmth in the rest of the outfit. It never feels ostentatious or luxurious but cozy! I like her lore too, though it is a little confusing-is she reincarnated? Reborn with memory intact? I like her a lot though!

Love this lore like holy cow, absolutely fascinating. I personally never deal with breed changes/scatterscrolls, but truly unique and interesting reasoning behind it. I adore the outfit he’s got on, it shouldn’t work so well but it definitely does with that pretty secondary! That’s an interesting use of the skullcap btw, I’m taking notes for sure!!!! The accent is almost lost in the apparel but it’s a subtle touch that I wish I could see more of! I understand that that can’t be helped if you’re keeping the boughs, but yeah.

I love her lore, I love her adopt, I love her outfit, I love her accent - I love Matoya. Truly the snapper of my dreams, gosh I never tire of snappers. I haven’t found my own perfect match but this lady - she gives me such hope. I adore that vest, and always hope to find a use — here it’s perfect. The hank, the flower, the gembond, literally perfect dragon, I have no criticism.

I really love the artwork you have on the left side of your clan profile and the familiar gifs are adorable. Thank you for having your lore thread linked, I’ll be reading through it as I work on the review. It’s really well made and has really great art and graphics! I loveeeee your lair, you have so many pretty and well dressed dragons! I didn’t realize how many resorts existed on Sornieth? I’ll be sending dragons for some R&R lol.

Soot: Excuse me, Lady Soot. I love this girl. I don’t even want to think of what the scrollcase cost you, my goodness. I love her accent, especially the way it colors her feathers on the head and neck. The gold accent from the apparel are a more than fitting touch. You have a lot of really wonderful art in her bio. I think Alpine’s Terracotta pot is my favorite because it’s just so unique. I’m completely fascinated by this rumored relationship with the Flamecaller, quite an experience to have had if true.

Ketut: Ocean man take me by the hand lead me to your land. His accent is so good and so tropical! It really adds a lot to him, it’s practically not even an accent at all it just feels like it belongs there. And the flatfins and the runebeads... it’s just so good. I love the way his bio is written out and his story of how he fell in love with Rhonda (Props to Lex! You do great work dude). You have very lovely artwork in his bio. The drawing of him and Rhonda just melts my heart, you can really see the shared love between them.

Trellis: Pumpkin Skink is a new one for me and wow it’s good! I love the way it fades into her wings, the softer Peridot green compliments her primary very well. Witch’s Blight is a favorite accent and it’s interesting to see it used on such a bright colored dragon because it really doesn’t take away from her colors at all. I wasn’t surprised to learn she was a gardener, I think it’s the perfect role for her. I like that she has a huge crush on Dahlia and brings her flowers, that’s just adorable.

Raine: I couldn’t resist her colors. The way the lantern glow reflects on her shimmery wings and the gold accents around her eyes are to die for. The bright blue of the lightning eyes really pop against her cinnamon colors and her apparel is all well thought out in terms of placement and color choice. “She wont turn down a hard liquor “ oh no she actually is perfect LOL. Her bio is beautiful, I wonder if you have a headcanon singing voice for her? My mind is leaning somewhere very Jazzy though I can’t pin a specific person down.

Jargon: He is SO green and SO good. I love him. I really like that you incorporated how he used to be a fae into his lore and having the fae’s mannerisms be a part of why he is the way he is now with language. I love the art in his bio of him being buried in books, it’s not hard to imagine him in that situation often. I really love the way ghost looks on him and the apparel he uses, especially around his head by covering the eyewear with the bandana to still leave the charred effect on his snoot.

Rug: I saw his name and basically just went “yeah I’m writing about you”. This is also fitting because I just finished watching the original Indiana Jones trilogy for the first time recently. I have to give a special shoutout to Smithsonian for the art in his bio because it’s one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen. I also love Fatalis, oh my goodness. The skin you picked for him was a great choice and I love his apparel layering and his animal companions. Maybe he can sell some of his wares to my trade hub?

Aerie: I’m love her?? And she’s a Gryphon!! I love the skin, it’s one of the best fest skins we’ve ever gotten and it looks so beautiful on her. I love the subtle hint of green from her spines and how they correlate with her eye color. I almost didn’t notice them at first but I’m glad I did because it’s such a nice touch. It’s very interesting how you’ve woven these Gryphons into your lore and I love the description and art you have of the Aviary. I like that she’s willing to work as a guide for dragons through their territory (even if for a fee, it’s still an interesting role).

Matoya: I couldn’t resist picking this girl, her flashy wings lull me right in. Was her skin a custom made just for her? It’s incredible! Her lore was good until you mentioned that her kids and grandkids don’t really ever write or visit and now I’m sad. Can she please adopt me so I can visit and bring her gifts. I love her so much. I think she and my Snapper Wrex would get along very well, he’s a lonely guy too. I just have so many feelings about this snapper that I wasn’t expecting, I want to protect her forever.

Lair Review

A review to cheer up my friend @duskthicketbonepicker​ by going over their gorgeous lair! I will be reviewing 15 dragons at a time so read under the cut :> 

Soot - I have always loved Soot (Lady Soot) since the first time I saw your lair. I can not describe how jealous I was of the beautiful triple gened gen1 coatl. I love to see the lore from her previous home in her bio, and that her apparel has been worked into her character. Also her little scottish fold is so great and I can’t believe I almost missed it when reviewing Lady Soot. An overall beautifully minimalist dragon, with a wonderful amount of thought put into her.

Kizmetto - She is so sweet oh my gosh. I feel like me and her would be good friends as we share our love of succulents and smelling of incense. I appreciate that she is kept light hearted and fun through her apparel and bio, with her big googly eyes and great spiral smile. The golden colors in her apparel match wonderfully with her golden coloration, making a lovely light/wind feeling dragon. Overall would want her to be my friend.

Lotus - My Lotus is a busy one, how is she able to manage so much yet still have time for herself? I wish I had her time management. She is such a lovely dragon, I would have never thought those colors would work together, and I am particularly fond of her smoke tert. I love that she plays the harp and secretly reads romance novels, and how much of a bookworm she is. Even though she is such a busy body she seems so peaceful and serene. A very good clan leader if I ever saw one. I am glad she plans to stay a part of her clan until her passing day, as she works to make everyones day that much brighter.

Tolarian - How dare you be such a pretty spiral. I love the wind feeling she has with her gusting goblin familiar and her springs breath apparel. I feel like Tolarian and Lotus would play their harps together from time to time and make absolutely beautiful music. I am particularly fond of her piece of artwork near the bottom of her bio that just makes her look like such a kind funloving spiral. Her accent is also an absolutely wonderful match for her, the roses in it bringing out the soft pink color in her pearl poison. Her peace dove is the perfect final addition to her apparel set, really tying the whites and greens of her apparel and coloration together.

Itzel - Another absolutely beautiful Aztec themed dragon! Just like with Lady Soot, Itzel pulls off their apparel and accent absolutely flawlessly. I suppose it makes sense that they have the same aesthetic as they work together. I also thought I could never appreciate the clown gene in any other color besides black but her pear clown works so well with the rest of her coloration and apparel. Her conjoined skink familiar matches so well too oh my gosh how did you get all of these colors to work so well together tell me your secrets. Her sunshine facet and runes really tie everything together perfectly.

Cauis - Yet another dragon that I have loved since I first saw him. I love his early summer beach aesthetic. I love his slightly grumpy old face and I love his connection to the ocean. Its sad he has lost many friends along the way but I am glad he is being able to connect to the young ones in his clan. I love the energy trap accent on him which gives an amazing watery shimmer on his body. Also you have found a way to make the Warmwater Wanderers apparel look not overwhelming which I really appreciate. I would want to hear stories of his journeys and ventures. 

Rhonda - ...I think I have a crush on her. The apparel she wears looks made for her, with the oranges matching her coloration perfectly, with her flower apparel adding just that extra little something. The story of how she met and fell in love with Ketut is so sweet and feels real. I can’t even imagine how many dragons have had crushes on the beautiful lady. I can’t even imagine how her wings would look in the setting sun, but I am sure that it is absolutely amazing. Not to mention that my heart is warmed by the fact that she is a lifeguard. 

Ketut - He is such a cute watery bartender! He looks like he belongs at the beach (and I can’t help but imagine him and Cauis being secretive friends). I find it super funny that the bottom picture in his bio has a little bit of stubble on his chin too, which makes me think of him as a total beach hunk. I love his side of how he fell in love with Rhonda, as it is just as sweet. I am glad that they now are able to live together, exchanging kind and flirtatious words between one another. I wonder if he has made a drink after her. 

Aria - No one gave you permission to have such a beautiful dragon! She looks like she would be friends with the maren in the local area, perhaps even being a maren herself. I have no idea how you were able to make the wing fans look nice but dang do they look great on her. The simple apparel with her detailed accent just makes her a really stunning dragon. 

Jaya - I have such a soft spot for dark red/brown dragons, and Jaya has stolen my heart. The silks of her accent flawlessly blend in with her cherry colored wings, the oranges matching perfectly with her solar flame apparel. She looks like she would know all of your secrets, and perhaps she does since she is the warm summer winds. The story of how she came to be is so wonderful, and I am glad that she enjoys the world around her.

Noir - What a good boi. I just want to give him a big ol’ hug. It makes me sad he  lost his charge and most everything he has been connected to. I think wandering characters are some of my favorites because they have so much potential and heart break. I love his accent, the black background of the underwing blending seamlessly with the rest of his colors, making his wings the night sky dressed with lights. An absolutely stunning guardian.

Aegis - How are you so cute Aegis! All of their art is absolutely adorable. I love that he is connected with loga’s and that his caretaker is Noir. And he also has a kitty friend oh my gosh! I love the emerald accent of his underbelly, which surprisingly works really nicely with his golden colors. A very pleasing dragon to look at.

Angelo - Ah a tundra! I love male tundras greatly and I feel they are very under appreciated. I love this precious flower child, and I want to braid his wonderful mane. He looks almost as if he could have grown from the ground himself. I love his connection with his tundra sister Rinoa, working with her to figure out what she has gathered.

Rinoa - She looks as though the forest herself has come alive! I love that she has birds in her mane and that plants cover her fur. The naturalist adornments are a wonderful touch on her, the treelike antlers making her truly a forest dweller. I bet she is able to flawlessly blend into the woods around her, and stay out of site as she forages for plants and mushrooms for Angelo.

Xoco - A beautifully dark warrior. The combination of colors she has works so well together, giving a somewhat spooky aesthetic to her. I appreciate her love of life, and her respect of living things in what she wears. I would not challenge her to a fight, but I would happily braid her wolf pelt with her sisters. A beautifully plague looking dragon.

I love your lair as a whole, and I know I have so many more lovely dragons to review but these are the first few for tonight :>

Kizzy’s condolence card participation information

Hi everyone,

As you may by now be aware, on the 3rd of Feb, 2019, our dear Kizzy (Kizmetto #59149, @duskthicketbonepicker), passed away from bowel cancer.

Kiz meant a lot to a lot of people. She was always kind and generous and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. We understand that she impacted many people, whether you knew her for years, or just enjoyed her dragons, art, or tumblr posts coming up on your dash.

We would like to organise a tribute to her from the FR community that meant so much to her. Our plan is to buy one of those giant condolence cards, and fill it with messages from anyone online that would like to leave a message. Shadowdawn199 (#148774) @enchantinggoblin is planning to attend Kiz’s funeral, and will deliver the card to Kizzy’s parents and family.

So, if you would like to have your message included, please send it via tumblr ask, or FR pm, to one of us:

Firstly, I have to say that my very first impression of your clan as a whole was just ‘wow’. Your lair is so bright and welcoming, and you really can see right off the bat just how much work you’ve put into each dragon.

Some immediate favourites are:

Jaya! Her lore is so soothing to read through - It makes me feel like I should be cuddling up in my pyjamas with a cup of tea so I can read more about this wandering wind spirit. Her outfit is absolutely gorgeous - just the right amount of vivid accents to bring some extra life to the warm reds and golds. She is a very lovely and interesting dragon, and you should be very proud :)

I hope you’re okay with me posting about Ylva - If you’d prefer I edit her out of this post, please just say so. I was initially drawn to her because I thought she looked very interesting (I’m quite a fan of her aesthetic) but her bio hit me hard as her disease has featured very prominently in my life recently and affected many of my loved ones. I hope that she has a speedy, painless recovery.

Soot! I’m always a sucker for characters raised in wealth and power whose lives take an unexpected turn. However, I also find myself intrigued by her mysterious background. I also really like the combo of the silk scarf with her accent - having a similar gold/orange tone at each end helps to balance her out. (Also she’s too good for the Flamecaller. You show that deity what’s she’s missing, honey!)

Xoco! A Beautiful dragon, with a beautiful apparel/accent combo to tie it all off. I also greatly appreciate her humble nature and respect for life, in addition to her sweet bond with her older sisters. She’s a character I can empathise, and she fits so nicely into the peaceful vibe you’ve got going in your lair :)

Thayne! Another aesthetic I absolutely adore! She reminds me of bioluminescent jellyfish out at sea - I can picture her glowing among the waves on a dark, calm night, leaving lil glowing globs in her wake. I’m also very intrigued by her lore, and hope to learn more about her one day.

Finally, Nylon! I have a few dragons in my clan I think she’d get on very well with (though I think Sornieth is thankful they live in different clans. Diasera would probably love to get her hands on a few of those experiments though, to see what a lil necromancy magic can do to them.) Dark, morally-lacking characters are always so interesting to read about, and Nylon is no exception. Her toxic aesthetic matches her lore so perfectly, and I love how you’ve linked in her familiar.

Overall, a lovely, warm-feeling clan with a few dark surprises hidden within! You’ve done an amazing job with your clan, and I hope that you are doing well. :)

A suggestion for our (future) nuzlockes/shared lore:

I was thinking there was a postboard that served as a hub for all the scattered dragons and clans that live in the... the undeveloped shitlands that our characters are trying to make lives in.

This could be the indirect way our clans share letters and communicate - at least at first, before they really get to know each other and possibly consider visiting.

It’s already a mechanic I’m planning on introducing into my ‘locke when it starts properly. Edan is quite paranoid of other dragons, but still wishes for contact of some sort without exposing where he lives.
