You can’t tell me his story’s over. It’s not, not even close.

Okay, I’m not planning on writing a very detailed interpretation now, but let’s take a closer look for a moment.

In my eyes, this is one of the most incredible moments of the whole game. Jake telling us about it, wow... He really trusts us.

But anyway, he says he’s been on the run for four years.

He lost everything in a single night.

He became someone who preferred loneliness, so he wasn’t like that before.

His home.

His identity - I wonder so much what exactly he means. Actually, I had thought about whether this had to do with his name, but apparently he already had it when he had contact with Hannah. So I’m glad he didn’t tell us a fake name, even if that would have been safer for him.

But now. He lost every person in his life, and only then did he become someone who preferred being alone. I wonder so much who he was dealing with before, did he have friends? How many? Who? His life before seems to have been so completely different than many (including me) had imagined. I mean, it sounds to me like he was pretty social before. At least it sounds like he was very close to the people he knew.

This part is so incredibly interesting and I hate that we have so little information. I need more, I want more information, more personal about him! It really drives me crazy.

Spoilers regarding what we learn in episode 10

Replaying with the knowledge of the ending has me thinking a lot deeper regarding the characters reactions and interactions with each other, and this convo we had with Dan after Jake’s disappearance is making a lot more sense with the knowledge that Dan’s father was extremely abusive.

When I first played Duskwood I thought Dan was the stereotypical masculine man who feels he has to protect everyone, especially the ladies because that’s “what gentlemen are supposed to do.” Which he kind of is, but the reason is deeper than just that…

I have a suspicion it’s less of a masculine thing, and more like Dan has learned from his childhood experiences to take a very close and critical look at other men and their interactions with the women in his life. He’s developed a quick fire distrust and assumption that other men could be just like his father. That if he doesn’t stand up for women they will become abuse victims like his mother, who took so much abuse she can barely walk anymore.

Not saying this is healthy or right, but it makes more sense why Dan dislikes Jake so much.

Jake threatening others during the vote and floating around behind their backs automatically ticked off Dans red flag box, he sees Jake as a threat (perhaps even just subconsciously) and he doesn’t want MC involved with him in fear of her becoming a victim too.

I am watching Mr.Robot and Jake character fits so close to Elliot in terms of his closed personality, introverted hacker. I also think that just like how Elliot works for cyber security , Jake used to work like that too until the government expose thing.

Anyway watching all the hacking stuff in the series, made me attracted to Jake even more 😳 as it had the most accurate and realistic hacking scenes.

Still don't know why hannah sent our number to Thomas. One of my theories that I can come up with is that she was gonna send Jake's number but mistakenly sent our number instead. It was deleted either because Richy saw it and deleted it or it was just Jake who thought that we would be an important clue and didn't want Thomas to bring our number to the police. And yeah, what will happen to Phil 🤔? He was accused because according to Alan the police thought he killed Michael right? We don't know anything about Michael Hanson so apparently Phil is on his own and there's nothing we could help. Also, who tf made a statement against Phil and told everything about the group to the police? Richy said that he wasn't expecting the arrest which make me think that it wasn't him who came to the police. So who was it actually?🧐🧐🧐

There are just soooo many unanswered question😩😩😩

* Duskwood Episode 10 SPOILERS *

I finished playing episode 10... 😭 The ending was definitely not what I expected and I feel like there was some subjects that were forgotten... (Or maybe I forgot they mentioned it🤔)

Like :

- How did MWAF (not saying the name to not spoil too much for those who haven't finished the game 😉) got my phone number?

- Why picking up a "random stranger" to solve the mystery?

- Who was Hannah Donfort to us? Did we know her in the end?

- What happened to Phil? Was he released or not? (I think he was XD but it would have been nice to see or hear from him in this episode at least once.)

- Did Jake got out of the mine? How? And where did he go after that? (I think he got out XD Jake can't be captured by the FBI or his persuers or even die so easily. I refused to believe that XD And he probably went back to his hiding spot, "waiting" for us...🤔)

I have to admit I am a bit disappointed with the last chapter because, even though it's an open ending, I thought it would end differently. I thought it would have been darker...

It's just my opinion, but I personally didn't like much who they've chosen to be the MWAF. I feel like it kind of broke the vibes we've been having since the beginning of the adventure.

It was good but not so good to me... I would have loved for an epilogue with us having an interrogation with Alan Bloomgate and then meeting Jake somewhere outside of town. Still in Duskwood, but outside of town. Even if we don't see his face. Like, it could have ended on Jake standing next to the river Jessy showed us with her phone when she wanted us to "visit" Duskwood. We could just see his back and then we could have called him. Jake would have slowly turned around, letting us only see his baby blue eyes (lol, yes, I like to think Jake has blue eyes, black hair, and is quite tall 🙈🤭) as he could be wearing a black mask with the nym-os eye on it in the corner.

We also could have seen just MC or Jake/MC meeting with all of the others, having a few drinks (even though it's probably, maybe even certainly not Jake's type 🤣) before Jake takes MC with him away from Duskwood.

Hello- greetings, sorry to bother you with my silly question and feel free to laugh..

Umh.. I was just wondering if you might have any assumption about why Jake always call Jessy as Jessica? At this point, I'm incapable to assume what reasons Jake might have to call her like that.

Since it will be really easy and save more time to type her name as 'Jessy' rather than 'Jessica', don't you think?

As I said it is silly question, but thank you in advance if you had time to answer this!

It’s not silly, I like talking about characters and their emotions so don’t fret 😁

Personally I think Jake is just an extremely technical and clearly spoken person, he isn’t the type to give others nicknames and probably sees little point in using them as they can be confusing when you are investigating a case because you are juggling two names when referring to one person.

Additionally he most likely has looked into everyone in the group at some point, checking their files and personal information from the start. He’s probably seen Jessy’s full name pop up in a lot of records and so he automatically calls her by Jessica first, because he only knows her by those records. He doesn’t have a connection with her like everyone else does.

I doubt Jake has any malice towards her like Jessy thinks lol, it’s just how he is and how he speaks. He catalogs people in his head like files and when he pulls them out he uses their full name to be clear and consistent.

Emma got damn scared after this massage.

— No it isn’t. Alan is after us Jake,Start the car. We need to go far from his reach."

Jake tried to start the car again for several times but it didn’t work. They heard the siren nearby.They just came out from the car and started to run through the Forest. Suddenly Emma bumped with something and fell on the ground. Her feet was twisted. Jake tried to help her getting up but she couldn’t. Alan and his team was getting closer.

— Emma?

— Jake, you need to go.I can deal with Alan.Please go!!

— They saw you running with me.There is no way that I can leave you to suffer in jail.

— Jake,I will be fine. Stop worrying about me and go.

— Emma, Do you trust me?

— What the hell of you are talking about? Of course I do.

— Than please trust me this time too. Just stay here and let me handle the situation. I will be back soon.

— What are you going to do?

— I will distract them.

— No way!!

— Relax Emma, I will be fine.

—Jake, No, Please!

— I promise you Emma, I will be back to you.

— Jake, No!!

Jake untied a neckpiece from his neck and tied it around Emma's neck.He placed a kiss on her forehead.

Alan and his team was too close .but darkness covered Emma and Jake so Alan couldn’t see them.Jake came out leaving Emma there and run front of Alan's team.They followed him. Emma watched them following him but couldn’t help.All she could do is crying alone.

After a while, she heard a firing. She felt a dagger in her heart.She mumble, "Ja...Jake" Then screamed "Jake...... Noooo..... No no no!!!!"

She tried to get up with her injured feet and run but fell on her face. All she could do was screaming
