Petition to have a long-term companion named John Smith.

The Doctor does not stop using John Smith as an alias during this time, so good old companion John will:

Do nothing and go about the adventure as the dynamic duo, John Smith and John Smith

Say that he is either the Doctor's son or father depending on how old they both appear (a junior/senior situation)

Come up with a normal human pseudonym himself like Mark or Dave because the Doctor stole his name goddammit

Just fucking introduce himself as the Doctor and completely ruin the point of the Doctor calling himself John Smith

Had a dream last night of Mel swaggering into the next companion support group meeting wearing both Six's and Seven's clothes that she somehow still had after everything that happened. Just straight up sauntering in there like she was that bitch. And I can't stop giggling about the visual

Imagine the doctor having a room in the tardis specifically for Rogue. It was Ruby’s idea at first. She was so sure that they’d find him quickly that she wanted to set up a room for him with first aid equipment.

Then came the dice. The doctor had found them in a market. DnD dice in a lovely shade of blue that reminded him of the coat Rogue wore the night they met. He decided not to buy them so Ruby did. They ended up in Rogue’s room, a gift for when they found him. It was funny how quickly they started thinking of it as Rogue’s room despite the man never setting foot in it.

Next came a shirt he’d look so good in and new bedding for the room. Before long the doctor didn’t even need prompting. The room became cluttered with trinkets and gadgets and anything that made him think of Rogue, cluttering every surface just like on Rogue’s ship.

When they finally get reunited though, he picks a different room. He’s not sure why at first. It’s not until later that night that it hits him. He’s scared to be rejected. What if Rogue thinks it’s weird or obsessive given they didn’t know each other very long.

He needn’t have worried though and seeing Rogue’s eyes light up as he explores his own personal cave of wonders is definitely worth the wait.
