The Impossible Planet & Satan Pit are such incredibly Doctor Who episodes. The Doctor & Rose being in love. Tacky costumes in gorgeous well-designed environments. Incredibly high brow impactful plot concept in a uniquely terrifying, existential-crisis-causing setting portrayed with sharpie, red contacts, and shitty CGI. Unnecessary pyrotechnics. The ood are there.

Disclaimer: This post is going to be Anti Moffat for anyone who’s reading and is a fan you’ve been warned.
“The God Complex” is the eleventh episode and I really enjoyed it! Reminded me a lot of Ten’s last few episodes in terms of the Doctor not wanting to put people in danger and us seeing more of the Doctor’s dark side.
The Good: The sequence with the Doctor looking for Joe was filmed and scored in such an incredible way I actually rewatched it twice! Rita is one of those minor characters that I immediately liked (much like Eleven lol), and I was so saddened by her death. You could see Eleven getting progressively more upset by the deaths, Matt did such a good job acting out those moments. Amy finally getting over her hero worship of the Doctor was such a powerful moment, and I felt like it fit in well with the last episode where older Amy also lost her faith in the Doctor. “You must believe in some god or someone” yeah Amy he does :) Everyone sort of immediately trusting the Doctor even though he accidentally gave them the wrong information (hold on to your faith) was the perfect way of showing how much responsibility he carries on his shoulders. The commentary the minotaur provided on the Doctor as an ancient being with “the blood of innocents” on his hands was reminiscent of Davros in S4 plus Eleven himself talking about how he leads people away and usually to their death, whew such a good episode. You could definitely tell this was one of those moments he suddenly remembered all of the people who have traveled with him. I already know that we’ll see the Ponds again, but I actually really really wish this was the ending for Amy and Rory--it would have been such a perfect bookend to Amy “moving on” from her childhood imaginary friend into the real world. Plus Eleven finally calling her Amy Williams!
The Bad: Part of me wishes we didn’t actually see the monster they were up against, I feel like it would have been more frightening in the same way “Midnight” was otherwise. The emotional aspect was well done but the plot was a little hand wavy near the end.
The Unresolved: The Doctor not being affected after seeing his room is interesting. Looks like now it’s just the season finale with the Doctor’s death and however that gets resolved.
Overall I feel like this is one of the best episodes out of this series, it provided a really heartbreaking reminder of what happens to those who travel with the Doctor and I was instantly transported to Rose visiting Clive and him saying death comes knocking when the Doctor is around.

Watching the OG Doctor Who, and my assessment so far:
Barbara: the brain and the looks. If they listened to her, they would not all get into constant trouble + would get out of it much faster
Ian: the looks. The Doctor’s best bud, brave and nice, not as smart as Barbara though… loves a good fight
Susan: the instinct, but will yell your head off… very curious, no sense of self preservation. Get them into 90% of their trouble
And finally:
1st Doctor: grumpy old men in all ways. Thinks Ian is all that and a bag of chips

I’m still a bit emotional after the new dw here’s some of the things that I loved about it: I’ve said this already but actual stakes!!! normal people be out there being kind and just generally making an impact in those around them!!! well-rounded characters of color featured in the adventures!!!! bad-ass women all around!!!!!the doctor taking in the beauty of things just as they are because life is beautiful!!!! actual look in the companion’s backstory in a thoughtful way!!!! even managed to get in some sibling love and then sadness that I’m still trying to recover from!!! & finally hope and loooooove is the key!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

classic petite : review below !
Hello everyone! Today I have a review for this beautiful watch, kindly sent to me by Daniel Wellington! Their watch collection is uniquely minimalistic and simple, so please make sure you keep reading for the review!
Note: Although this watch was sent to me for review, all opinions are honest and unbiased.
First off, the watch I will be reviewing is the from the Classic Petite collection! The watch is rose gold in color, and 28mm in diameter! The strap is a classic brown leather, and it feels comfortable around the wrist! It was a bit stiff at first, but once I wore it a few times, it fits my wrist much better!
Here is the photo of the watch from Daniel Wellington’s website:

As you can see, it has a very simple design, which makes it easy to pair with outfits! Personally, I absolutely love the classic look this watch has! It was also sent to me in a black sleek box, so I can use it to hold my watch when I am not wearing it!
Overall, I love this watch and cannot wait to wear it as a finishing touch to my outfits! If any of you guys are interested in purchasing one, you can use the code “CTRL15″ for a special discount! Thank you for reading until the end, and big thank you to Daniel Wellington for sending me this beautiful piece! Have a lovely rest of your day :’) <3

no offense but uhhhh I would’ve rather been done without the old white dude but it is what it is :///
in any case the episode was solid even if the villain of the week was kinda gross. oh and Jodie’s perfect 😍 that scene where she comes to her own and sets up her run of the series? britney_yeah.gif
