Folks, I love Nyx the residential bunny-boy. I need to take a break from him though, I haven't written a proper story with him despite how many ask I've gone through on his character and world, and it's getting to the point I don't wanna resent my lil guy

I love the world building but when almost everything is about one character I get a little dull on it and I wanna put out my better quality writing than I have with him

So no more Nyx temporarily. I'll be ready to go on about him soon enough again 👍

Howdy i just read your uuuuh darius/reader smutfic (the one in his office, in case you wrote multiple?) as i was listening to a playlist i made for an au i had started back when i was still playing TOT. I stopped playing, mm, i think just after or just before the second anniversary on the USA servers, but it was a criminal!Rosa/Darius fic, i posted the prologue on ao3.

Anyway youve inspired me to take another stab at writing it! I had it mostly outlined but i just never posted more than the prologue. It's called "Red and Blue Don't Mix" i think? Thats my playlist anyway.

I think the funniest and bestest part about making nyxlin mates a Thing(tm) is that it both avoids the really uncomfortable parts of its counterpart renessme/Jacob by the fact that Nyx is definitely not meeting Tanlin until he's like grown and mates being objectively LESS weird then imprinting but also makes it worse for everyone involved because instead of loving one of nyxs parents tamlin wants them both dead. Ultimate way to damage all people involved actually. Tamlin getting his bias against mates as a concept strengthened cause no kind god would set him up with feysands kid, feysand undergoing the ordeals cause feyres worried her sons gonna get into something weird like she was woth tamlin meanwhile rhysand, who has about the same age gap with feyre as Nyx does with tamlin, is projecting all those awkward problems onto this. Nyx is the only optimist about this because all of the adults in his life are basically enemies to lovers mate stories anyway. He's so sure this is gonna go well. Tamlin wants to kill himself.

Actually no again just really sank in that all the mates Nyx likely knows... are essentially all enemy to lovers, literally hating the absolute SHIT out of each other types. The best he might be able to get is elucien, which even then had a rocky start. Nyx is gonna go into this thinking he can fix Tamlin cause that's likely how EVERY mate in his life describes their relationship lmaooooo. Rhys and Feyre desperately regretting not emphasising how difficult their interactions used to be because now their son is operating under 'dick fixes all' logic.

This is all good and interesting but mostly I think it would be funny. I just want adult Nyx to introduce his age-inappropriate boyfriend to his parents and have them all realize what's going on at the same time.

I've been reading superbat fics and I'm realising how a fifty shades of grey premise would absolutely rock for them. Especially because the beginning where billionaire/journalist would make sense. And also not the shit appalling bdsm etiquette (if we can even call it that) but like a proper one. Now that I'm thinking about it i just want them to meet as Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent and let nature take it's course.

The pregnancy plotline in ACOSF kinda ruined the original trilogy for me. I don’t think people truly grasp how much of a betrayal the pregnancy secret was.

For Rhys, who has seen firsthand how strong and capable Feyre is, to decide to keep vital information about her own life from her is disgusting. To make matters worst, he told everyone around her, including Nesta, who at that point showed zero compassion or love toward Feyre. Not only did he tell everyone, but he instructed them to keep Feyre in the dark.

I understand that the Inner Circle has been loyal to Rhys for centuries. They see him as more than a leader; they see him as a friend and a brother. So while it doesn’t justify their part in keeping Feyre in the dark, I can understand it. But what I can’t understand is why they showed no concern over Feyre. It honestly seemed that they, particularly Cassian and Azriel, cared more about Feyre’s sisters than the fact that Feyre might die.

Even if they hated Feyre, they should’ve done more to help Rhys find a solution. After all, they knew that if Feyre dies, Rhys does too. But they didn’t seem very fazed by the very real threat of their friend and high lord dying. If anything, it was more of an annoyance to their lives.

Say what you want about Rhys, but he went through absolute hell for his family. He spent fifty years enslaved, being abused, and mistreated all so his friends were safe. And they (mostly Cassian and Azriel, as I don’t know what Mor was doing at this time but I’d like to believe that she was making herself useful in some way) couldn’t even try to help him?

And of course, there is Nesta. When people say that Nesta telling Feyre about her pregnancy was a good thing, they’re completely ignoring that the ONLY reason Nesta even told Feyre was because she wanted to hurt her. Nesta, along with everyone else in the Inner Circle, initially agreed to keep the secret from Feyre - which I still don’t understand.

Why did Nesta, who didn’t like Rhys and had no allegiance to him, decide to keep Feyre’s issues pregnancy a secret? She knew, as stated later in the book, that keeping this secret from Feyre was awful - so why not tell her immediately?

Keeping Feyre’s pregnancy issues from her is bad enough, but to then throw it in her face as a way to hurt her is simply inexcusable. SJM could’ve used Nesta telling Feyre about her pregnancy as a way to heal the sister’s strained relationship but instead she used it to further damage their relationship.

Honestly, while I love Feyre, I hate the fact that SJM doesn’t allow her to get angry anymore. She’s not allowed to hold grudges or scream, she simply forgives. She forgives the Inner Circle for keeping the secret from her. She forgives Rhys for keeping the secret from her, but telling everyone else around her (including her abusive sister) the secret while instructing them to keep silent. She forgives Nesta for keeping the secret, using her potential death as a weapon to hurt her, and abusing her for years.

I really don’t understand how someone can get pass this level of betrayal. I know that they only kept the secret for a couple weeks, but the fact that they kept the secret even for a day doesn’t sit right with me. Everyone in her family knew that she might die, that her child might die, that her partner might die - and the only reason she found out was because her sister wanted to hurt her.

I just feel sad for Feyre. She finally finds a man who she loves and trusts, but after this secret, I don’t see how she can ever completely trust him anymore. Same with the Inner Circle.
