I think, as a crow, Illario would firmly have the mindset of "death isnt the worst thing that can happen to you"
Which has to make Lucanis' return so much more upsetting. You wanted your cousin dead (he was going to get himself killed anyways. Now, a year, ten, what does it matter, this job will kill him) and for a whole year you think you've succeeded.
And then you find out that no, you couldn't even grant your cousin (your brother) the grace of a quick clean death. He was tortured and twisted into a demon, and the man who walks through the door is a husk, puppeted by the (quite literal) spirit of your mistake.
How do you even cope with that. You deal with death, it's your life, it's his, and yet somehow what was supposed to be a quick kill was dragged out into something twisted and awful. Does it eat at him? If he's redeemed, does it keep him up at night? If locked away, does he pace the length of his cage and think that he too locked his cousin to such a fate? I need to study this man like a bug he fascinates me

Mod Squirrel 🐿️ here and i just want to say that a lot of people are getting extremely rude over the concept of a blog having multiple mods. This is just a collaboration between 8 different people and all we do is assign omegaverse roles to characters. Maybe tone it down with your aggressive anonymous asks.

i could say something about the six kings slam but i will probably get in trouble so i will just keep my mouth shut.
#i just think it’s inch arresting how every athletic competition that takes place in Saudi Arabia#tends to not be a tournament based in organic drama and potentially david vs goliath type situations which is what makes sport exciting#it’s about taking ‘established’ goliaths and just throwing money around to make them face off#which is sometimes interesting but only when it’s offset by the excitement of david’s coming in and upsetting them#saudi league footy is an example bc they took their enormous wealth and bought guys like r*nald* and so on instead of actually building#everything they announce always just feels like if you were to take all the sugariest bits from desserts and put them together#a pile of frosting and chocolate sauce and marshmallows etc gets nauseating quickly and has no depth or dynamicism#it’s just sugar. nothing more. it always just feels like a pissing match about who can shell the most out with zero soul behind it#idk i hope this makes sense i just don’t want to see daniil play dinner bro is not equipped at this time#personal#idk how to tag this

This is a painting (top) I made a few years ago as a tribute to John William Waterhouse's work named ''The Magic Circle'' (bottom).
The mood, stortytelling and simplicity of the scene really caught my attention, and I wanted to take those elements and add more dynamicism to it when working on my interpretation.

the actual problem with AI art is like using mods and hacks in video games and then going “yeah I’m good at this.” no you used shit to bypass the hard work it takes to develop skills, because what you really are is an ideas man without someone to dictate ideas to. you might as well call yourself a producer at that point m.
Like it rubs me the wrong way when I see people defending this shit with arguments of “accessibility” as if being an artist is gate kept heavily. You buy a sketch book, and some pencils n pens and ya do your thing. Feeding a bot a prompt or even a few “character sketches” to generate a whole ass comic is an insult to people who took time to actually learn and how to do decent paneling, dynamicism in posing, facial expressions, and more.
just say you don’t want to put the time in and you’re taking the easy out.
