Consider the opportunity cost in everything you are doing and go straight for maximum value! Also the younger we are the more we should be taking risks and experiment. Something you know the outcome of is not an experiment. Consider finding your own ways of using social media the potential is huge and yet most content fall in tried and tested groves or even just Luke warm attempts to replicate those. Dare to be different and be yourself. These platforms connect you to everybody in the world - find cool ways to collaborate. And if you are a hacker consider hacking ware together that empowers users to do that more and also visualize their relationships through hops (i.e. Imagine crawling FB for friends of friends and finding some way to visualize that, little freebie :) anyhow I'd love to get to know you and I don't care if you drive a Lambo but I care about human beings and pray for a truly equitable paradigm for all and if we are not maki it happen it's not gonna (hint universal basic income is a joke like trying to eat nutritiously off of snap) so it is going to boil down to us hackers and cyberpunks to make that happen and create the structures and collaborative tools that do. Hacking living in a post-human era!? Thoughts become things and we become the things thought about. Since we have been taught this from all the greatest teachers and real science and money is being made with it, isn't it time to implement? Understand the power of propaganda and distinguishing between yours dreams and someone else's. Most of what I see on IG seem not like stuff I or the folks sharing it will remember on their death bed. Let's make a real impact how about it? Life on earth is not awesome for at least half the people around - I think that's unacceptable. We need to train ourselves on the right kind of data and vision or we will be unable to distinguish signal from noise. What is unacceptable and what is acceptable it is very important to know this for oneself and I rarely see it demonstrated. What is important and what isn't. What is cause what is effect. What is map what is territory. A word is not the thing and a symbol is not the substance. Please everybody let's aspire to more substance or this may very well be the post-human era. We make our own meaning and we become a slave to it. Just like and overfitted alg now reward hacking its utility function. Think about it. Lifetimes have been wasted on problems that sounded meaningful in language but are devoid of connection to reality apart from poetic nostalgia. I.e. "When did the universe begin?" This is a huge performance leak even in hardcore STEM . I will be posting more about this stuff. Time is vastly dilated in REM (guess where the rapid part comes from) and so you re-rehearse the lessons meanings and abstractions build waking just like dqn training on space invaders over night - and the reason we often don't come up with phenomenal stuff : we are training on the wrong input over/under fitted confusion on abstraction layers. What is signal what is noise. It's always going to be noisy and incomplete. So fundamentals fundamentals fundamentals (the 3 rules of everything) more on this to come. Happy Saturday! Peace!
