Finally made an official ref for my stinkiest boy, Garclaw! He’s... a real piece of work. He’s a relatively new warrior- though he is 16 moons as of now, he didn’t get promoted until he was 14 moons due to wanting to prove himself by fighting an alligator. It... didn’t go well. He came out relatively unscathed besides a few rips in his ears, the lucky bastard, but he got into MAJOR trouble. Though, it seems trouble follows him everywhere- and always has. He loves to stir things up and doesn't shy away from saying what’s on his mind (usually to the detriment of others). Not even his own mentor, Bumblelion, can stand him (and she’s a chill as they come!) However, he does at least have friends in his rag-tag gang dubbed the “Shortie Squad” that includes sweet Tegutrot and rambunctious Littlepaw! Plus, he’s got his crush Echodawn (of StormClan) on his side! How he managed that, no one knows. That healer is much too kind for her own good.

🌈 I hope Tender can find love again, I really do. Obviously, Double doesn't but that's another story.

I hope for Double to one day have kits of her own and that of course would make Tender a grandmother...which I think could be interesting to rp for a lot of reasons.

🍃 I dont know too much about Her aside from that he and Double are close in age and he has a relationship with Echodawn. This is interesting for many reasons obviously since their clans are close to being at war and Echo is a healer. Gar doesn't strike me as a healer type currently but the story could be that much more intriguing if both were healers, tied to their clans so deeply but also in love with one another.

☁️Garclaw – Okay I know a ScaleClan Gar would probably make the most sense BUT what if StormClan Gar. What if Gar and Echo swap places. Gar as the rambunctious StormClan cat who really actually wants to be a ScaleClan cat, wants to be strong and impressive and important and maybe resents his Clan's caution around the Great Storm and all the pressures and anxieties it tends to instill in cats rather than just having a rip-roaring good time or giving more attention to individual glory like he wants for himself. And Echo as the TideClan healer apprentice to Shallowbeach who is suddenly adrift when he gets murked, who maybe has to go to StormClan's healers for help, and the two of them bond then? And Gar finds Echo and her stories about her Clan weird but fascinating, hearing about TideClan's communal bonds and vigilance towards some things without being overly paranoid about things like he thinks StormClan is about the Great Storm, and Echo comes to appreciate StormClan's openness to rogues/loners/etc and their spirituality/connection to StarClan from an outsider perspective. IDK where I'm going with this really all I'm saying is Clan swap EchoGar AU that's it.

☘️Enchantment – HHH THERE'S ONLY SO MUCH I CAN SAY WITHOUT SPOILERS but uhhh Chant and sisters! That's all I'll say on that but yes!! Them!! Love them!! Aside from that, really interested and eager to see Chant have whatever the fuck kinda relationship with Clan cats their age! Already vibing very much with tormenting the TideClan youths with their flirting, I'd be interested to see them interact with some of the healer apprentices tho, I think that could be neat! Specifically I think they could have a really interesting dynamic with Echodawn and Shoalshine! I also think them interacting with Garclaw would just be the greatest comedy routine <3

I’ve looked at the family trees and I’ve got a few observations and questions:

How old was Cloverfall when Breezepaw was killed? I’m a because the Treeclan family trees says Breezepaw and Silverstone (Silver for comparison) are part of generation 4 but the Ocean one says Cloverfall is part of generation 4 and Silver part of generation 3.

Shadepaw is technically the aunt to three other cats around the same age (Fish, Eel and Rock). Not a question I just think its funny.

Where does Petalpaw get her blue from? /j But I also noticed that, despite it being to a lesser extent, Petalpaw looks a lot like one of her grandparents (Gullflight) like Fishpaw. There’s definitely a trend in general of cats looking like grandparents (Doveheart and Rosemask share the same nose colour, Newtkit got a purple hue like Haven)

Why does the Treeclan cat, Tallwater have the suffix -water? Did they come from Oceanclan or have Oceanclan ancestry? Is he a tall glass of water? Or just because :p

I like how there’s a few ear types. It’s probably not intentional but you can categorise them. There’z crossed ears (e.g Silverstone, Firespots, Autumnstar), open ears (e.g Softbriar, Fishpaw, Echodawn) and plushie ears (e.g Eelpaw, Coralclaw, Fallensnow).

I wonder if Shadowy cat is a character already mentioned somewhere. There’s only about 6 fluffy cats and 3 of them are alive, 2 are accounted for in hell.

For cloverfall's age during the time, I would give a rough estimate of about 2 years~, shes a young warrior at the time. A proper retelling of the event is planned, but there's a lot of ground to cover first!

This reminds me I still need to move the generations up on the Treeclan family tree, I had made some edits to the Oceanclan one a bit ago then forgot to sync the Treeclan one with it. And yea Shadepaw has a bit of an awkward family haha! She doesn't appear a lot but I like her :'D

And yes! I kinda love skipping generations with physical traits, for Fishpaw it's veryyy intentional that she looks like the dead grandma (Deepwater) for angst purposes.

The ear style, the eye shapes, and the amount/direction of fur tufts are my little tricks to make them look different from each other :D I'm not really good at keeping other kinds of shapes consistent For the fur tufts it's how they personally style the fur and sometimes changes, like Fishpaw usually has 2 cheek tufts and 2 head tufts, but sometimes she has more when she's stressed out. Kinda like how cats irl get poofed.

Shadowy cat has a lot of secrets! There's a lot of information about them that hasn't yet been revealed, but keep an eye on them y'all ;3

Ooo fish didn’t feel it! Maybe she isn’t gonna be a med cat and honeykit won’t train under echodawn after all? :0 Lol I just imagined honeykit feeling it all the way back at camp and being like “ma, the tyrant has Died.” cuz he’s our special boy

HGHDJGDJG tbh it would make total sense for honeykit to sense something even all the way back at camp. idk if he would have any clue what it was, but he did sense Cloverfall's presence (which Fishpaw did too, actually!)

The explanation for this is something I have drawn btw, so its on the way, but I will keep it a surprise >:]

I’m curious, when Whisperleaf asked if Fishpaw felt it, what did he mean by that? (It’s been a long time since I last read Warriors T~T)

I think this is just part of my canon, where the medcats have a sort of "spidey-sense" when it comes to omens and what not. Not really a true foresight, but like for example what Echodawn and Whisperleaf would have gotten was a gut feeling that something bad was going to happen in the field.

Whisperleaf has like 6-7 years on Echodawn so he could probably more accurately predict that Starclan was gonna aim for the leaders (or just Crowstar) or that it had to do with the storm.

Since Fishpaw is a healer now, she probably should've also picked up on that but maybe she's just new to the job XD

Just wondering but what are the ages of most major characters and Cloverfall at this point in the story?

i can give a rough estimate for ages but i havent really narrowed most of them down to a specific number :D

I'll do the oldest cats first, Emberpelt is around 12 years, Autumnstar died at 9.3 years (meaning he'd be 12 too if he were still alive), and Haven is... a mystery to me but she was alive probably when Autumnstar was an apprentice. Crowstar is close to 9 years old, so cats in her peer group would be similarly aged. Rosemask, Whisperleaf and Fallensnow would be slightly older, while Firespots, Wavecrash, Deepwater, Springflower, and Pebblerun would be slightly younger.

Sandywing and Coralclaw are somewhere between 4-5 years old. They were raised during war times. I would also put Silverstone (Sandywing's mate) and his brother Smokehawk (Treeclan deputy) here too. Annnnddd Dapplestar could be in this age group but maybe a year or so older, maybe 6.5~ years.

Cloverfall and her sisters, Smallstripe and Softbriar, were born a few months before the war ended/Crowstar become leader. This puts them at about 3 and a half years. Sunheart and Winterwing would be in this group as well.

Doveheart, Halfshadow, and Fallenscar were all born after the war ended, so theyre about 3~ years.

And then the last generation which includes the youngest cats. Talondusk and Echodawn are close to 2 years Fishpaw and Rockfall are like.. 20 months Petalsong is 18 months Honeykit and Newtkit are a little over 3 moons

In 331 was my beloved (smokehawk) looking at the medicine cat of treeclan in a “dang you failed your one job” way or “it’s fine” way or was just seeing her reaction?

It was kind of like a "can I move past now?" look, since she had been holding Smokehawk back on page 329. They respect each other! Smokehawk just can't detect the same things that Echodawn can
