Maybe I’m not meant for it

Maybe just to dream

To ever know the softest touch Or safe place between

His head and shoulder.

I see it - behind my eyes

It's wonder through the night. dancing through me like a fire chain Burning my light

Keeping me afloat

My day's hope.

However,

It’s my written story

She there along with him Faceless

Nameless

But the feeling is there.

Maybe I'm not her

And it isn’t my story to live But to paint into words Retelling of what I see.

Maybe it's meant for me But only in my dreams.

To never love in reality.
