I've been craving a Korean egg drop sandwich, so it's fortunate that our town already has a K-egg stall. Despite the fact that I was unfamiliar with the stall, I didn't think twice about trying it. Like the egg, I can state that the sandwich is also medium-soft. I got my cravings sated. Fans of Kdramas especially of Hospital Playlist, the Korean Egg Drop Sandwiches that you saw and craved while watching finally stepped out of our screens here at Eatlog. 

Seeing it at first already made me eggcited and their recipe is very eggspecial and legit. Masissneun! 

If you can remember well in Hospital Playlist, this is Uju’s favorite snack. We saw him and his appa Ik Jun eat egg drop sandwiches few times in Season 1 and 2. And if I can remember well, Ik Jun also brought some for his friends at the hospital. There was also an episode where Uju told his appa that he was a regular customer of egg drop sandwich and frequently went there with his girlfriend Mo Ne and her eomma. 

Who wouldn’t crave for egg drop sandwiches if it frequents your screen while binging the drama right? Now that we have a local store serving egg drop sandwiches, might as well try it to satisfy our curiosity and cravings. 

We tried Eatlog’s best seller which is the Korean Egg Drop Sandwich. The nori, ham and spam was sandwiched along with the fluffy scrambled egg and bread.

It was really delicious and it was big serving. It will really make you full already with your first few bites. I also tired few local egg drop sandwiches as it becomes a trend these days but this is I think the best one I had so far. 

Another thing about this is that the egg on my sandwich dropped while I was taking a bite. Same goes for my chingu. Hahahaha it is literally an egg drop sandwich. 

The taste of egg drop sandwiches blends well with their Inomin. As we got there, they have the chocolate malt jelly and strawberry milk jelly. We tried their strawberry milk jelly because it is also the best seller. I heard that the idea for Inomin started from the thought that strawberry milk is a famous drink in Korea and that Filipinos loves jellies/gulaman so why not combine the two for a localized product that can satisfy both our Korean and Filipino taste right?

There is actually a variety of egg drop sandwiches and Inomin to choose from but I highly recommend you to try their Korean eggspecial and their Strawberry Inomin. Super sulit. Busog talaga. Haha Kaja, chingus! Meogja!  This is another must try in Naga if you want a straight outta Kdrama food experience.

We haven't explored much of the egg drop sandwiches that are available here in Manila so we're excited to try the new @go_jinjuph Premium Korean Egg Drop toasts. We've tried the Ham & Cheese Toast (139 php), Spamwich Nori (149 php), Beef Bulgogi (159 php) & Sausage Supreme (169 php). It was deliciously comforting bec. the brioche bread was so soft, the scrambled egg was creamy and fluffy, the meats were savory & the mayo-ketchup had a sweet and tangy kind of blend. All of them were quite filling without any 'umay' factor. My personal favorite is the beef bulgogi (swipe to see the one w/ the lettuce). Admittedly, I'm a fan of the lowkey Isaac Toast since it is the 1st Korean toast franchise that opened here in the Philippines & it happens to be in our neighborhood... But, w/ our positive exp w/ go jinju's egg drop sandwiches, I want to try more of it. Alfresco Dining Experience at Mood Lift by Gerardo’s

Located at Isaiah St. Central Park Subdivision, Cadlan, Pili

This is just few blocks from the apartment and it is amazing how small businesses emerge in the middle of pandemic. This is my latest find and this is definitely a good place for catching up. Al fresco dining is the new normal dining. This is the new trend and what makes it even more enticing is that it is more intimate. They can only accommodate few people for dine-in by booking a reservation.  

Must try their Double Bacon Egg Drop Sandwich. We also tried their Aglio Oglio Pasta which I think is good for 2-3 persons. Didn't know they have big serving for pasta. Also, we had Blueberry Fruit Soda and Choco Hazelnut for drinks.

Aside the alfresco dining, you can also order for take out and have a picnic at CWC’s Lago del Rey which is also near where Mood Lift is located. 

We ordered the three Ham and Cheese Egg Drop Sandwiches for take out. 

Kdrama feels while having a picnic and waiting for the sunset. As far as I can remember, egg drop sandwich is one of the food featured in Hospital Playlist which actually led to different local businesses recreating the sandwich for our eating pleasure and to bring those Kdrama feels to life. Egg drop sandwich is a popular food in South Korea. Tasty fluffy scrambled eggs with some slices of cheese and ham are sandwiched between two equally fluffy pieces of buttered, toasted bread. What more can we ask for?

Sandwiches are not really that aesthetically pleasing but egg drop sandwiches are definitely a game changer. And again, we caught up with the Hallyu fever as egg drop sandwiches are gets more popular locally as more businesses recreates it in our country.
