The Mighty God (Isaiah 9:2-7)
For unto us a child is born...
The people walking in darkness    have seen a great light;on those living in the land of deep darkness    a light has dawned. You have enlarged the nation    and increased their joy;they rejoice before you    as people rejoice at the harvest,as warriors rejoice    when dividing the plunder. For as in the day of Midian’s defeat,    you have shatteredthe yoke that burdens them,    the bar across…

Unto Us a Child is Born
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Pele-Yo’etz El Gibbor Avi-’Ad Sar-Shalom (Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God [The Powerful Living Word], The Father of eternity, The Prince of Peace). Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David [beloved], and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from from this time forth (from now on) even forever. The zeal of the LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) Tz’va’ot [of the Heavenly Armies] will perform this. — Isaiah 9:6-7 | New Messianic Version (NMV) The New Messianic Version Bible by Tov Rose © 2012.

FRESH MANNA
HOLY GHOST MY SUPERHERO
Psalm 94:16-17
There are so many Marvel superheroes on our screens, from Superman to Aqua-Man, all with varying powers, and abilities. Everyone needs a superhero! Who is your favourite superhero? Superman, Spiderman, batman or others?
As super as they are portrayed to be, they still have some weakness, some character flaw that weakens their ability to perform and make them seek to be recharged, revived, or refreshed.
They come to the rescue when called, still limited to one place at a time. They all need a form of transportation to get to their destination and are seen by everyone but justice is at the heart of all they do.
I like Batman! He has no special powers, just his brain and money to dish out justice.
Holy Ghost! My superhero, superstar, yet not the average, garden variety superhero! You don’t see him with the naked eyes but he’s very much there and he is the righteous judge who is fair in administering justice.
He does not need man-made transport to get him to me, he’s with me always.
In response to the question in our text; Who will rise for me against the evildoers? who will stand for me against the workers of iniquity? Requires only one answer! None other than God! Holy Ghost, our helper and superhero.
We’ve yet to see a superhero die for someone, they will go so far as to try and save the victims, unfortunately, sometimes, not on time for some.
Jesus is the ultimate superhero! He died for us, he’s always arriving in times of need and walks with us unconditionally and continually without fear of our foes.
He doesn’t need a red, black, or green cape, He does not need gravity-defying moves or specially modified vehicles to travel because there is no distance, time, or barrier in him.
One of the titles for the Trinity is EL Gibbor, meaning "mighty God according to Isaiah 9:6," and JEHOVAH GIBBOR MILCHAMAH: The Lord mighty in battle according to Psalm 24:8 which indicates God's power and greatness, making Him supreme and sovereign. He is the gracious and righteous Judge of the world.
From Jeremiah 32:18, we read that his steadfast love is to thousands. A covenant love that is to countless generations, making him the Lord of host, Jehovah Sabaoth (Tsebaoth) according to 1 Samuel 1:3.
Unlike human superheroes, my superhero doesn’t save and leaves one helplessly exposed to the constant attack of the enemies, he equips and empowers us to go to battle as well according to 2 Samuel 22:35 which expresses an attribute of strength in battle with the help of God, our superhero.
The villain uses the weaknesses of the Marvel superheroes to trap them and get away or to foil their rescue plan because they can see them coming while trying to defeat them. After all, they know how they perform.
But how do you fight or defeat an enemy you can’t see? Only with the help of one who is stronger, bigger, and wiser than him and according to 1 Timothy 1:17 our superhero is all these things and more, making him unequivocally undefeatable.
My superhero is King eternal (of the universe, of all ages, reigning for eternity), he’s invisible (no one can see him according to John 1:18) and he is the only God there is according to Deuteronomy 6:4.
You don’t only have to be in trouble to call my superhero, he’s waiting for you to reach out to him, so he can bring justice to all. My superhero! The Triune God: GOD THE FATHER, SON AND HOLY GHOST! SUPERHERO!
PRAYER: O Lord, You are my very present help in trouble, and deliver me from all desperate situations. I ask for Your miraculous intervention in turning my circumstances around in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Shalom

Come Boldly To The Throne!
#thelettererph
Whatever it is that is making you anxious for today, may you remember to not worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:6-7).
God is our refuge and strength, a VERY PRESENT HELP in trouble (Psalm 46:1, emphasis mine).
Sometimes, we perceive our problems bigger than God himself which makes His promises lose their power in our lives. When trials press us, my prayer is that may we remember that we have an incomparably powerful God alongside us.
In Isa 9:6, it says,"For to us a child is born,
to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God (EL GIBBOR), Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
"El Gibbor" in Hebrew means mighty God-a champion or warrior in other translations. This refers to our King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ! And nothing is more powerful than Him!
Dear brothers and sisters, let us come boldly and confidently into God's presence (Ephesians 3:12) and we can have such confidence because of our standing before God as His children only possible through our faith in Christ our Lord (2 Cor. 3:4).
Let us continue to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might (Ephesians 6:10) and believe that we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37).
Shalom.
"The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing!" Zephaniah 3:17

The God-Messiah of the Old Testament
By Author Eli Kittim 🎓
In the original Hebrew text, Isaiah 9:6 paints a divine picture of the Messiah, unlike the one erroniously drawn by traditional Judaism of a mere human being. In particular, Isaiah 9:6 claims that the “son” (בֵּ֚ן ben) that is given to us is called “mighty” (גִּבּ֔וֹר gibbor) “God” (אֵ֣ל el). This is reminiscent of Leviticus 26:12 in which God **literally** promises to become **incarnated** as a human being:
I will also walk among you and be your
God.
What is more, in Isaiah 9:6 the Messiah is called “the Prince” (שַׂר־ sar), “the everlasting” (Hb. עַד “ad,” derived from “adah,” which means “perpetuity,” “continually,” or “eternally”). In other words, this “son” that “is given” to us is from everlasting. As a supplemental observation, compare the similarities of Micah 5:2 (NASB) regarding the Messiah:
His times of coming forth are from long ago,
From the days of eternity.
In other words, he is **uncreated**! The Septuagint (LXX), an early Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible, confirms this interpretation by also stating that this upcoming (messianic) ruler is from all **eternity.** In Micah 5:2 of the Septuagint (which is technically Micah 5:1 in the LXX), the prophecy is as follows:
English translation by L.C.L. Brenton:
And thou, Bethleem, house of Ephratha, art
few in number to be [reckoned] among the
thousands of Juda; [yet] out of thee shall
one come forth to me, to be a ruler of Israel;
and his goings forth were from the
beginning, [even] from eternity.
So we have compelling evidence from the very early Septuagint translation that the messiah to come is actually **uncreated,** and that he has existed from all **eternity.** This suggests that the “mighty God” of Isaiah 9:6, “the everlasting,” who is promised to become incarnated in Leviticus 26:12, is the same forthcoming messianic ruler that is mentioned in Micah 5:2 (Micah 5:1 LXX), whose “goings forth were from the beginning, [even] from eternity.”
Conclusion
Keep in mind that all this is coming from the Old Testament. We haven’t even touched the New Testament yet. Nevertheless, we find in the Old Testament numerous references to the messiah as an eternal, mighty, and incarnate God! And we haven’t even mentioned the deity of Jesus Christ in the New Testament:
In Jn 1:1 (‘the word was God’); Col. 2:9 (‘in
him the whole fullness of the godhead
[θεότητος] dwells bodily’); Heb. 1:3 (‘The
Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the
exact imprint of his being’); Tit. 2:13 (‘our
great God and Savior Jesus Christ’); ‘being
in very nature God’ (Phil. 2:6); ‘The Son is
the image of the invisible God’ (Col. 1:15);
‘our God and Savior Jesus Christ’ (2 Pet.
1:1); & in Jn 1:3 and Heb. 1:2 Jesus is the
creator and the ‘heir of all things, through
whom he [God] also created the worlds’; Jn
1:3: ‘All things came into being through him
[Jesus], and without him not one thing
came into being.’
Therefore, the eternal, timeless, uncreated, everlasting, almighty God (Rev. 1:8), who has always existed from all eternity, is the very same Creator-God who is promised to be born among us (Isa. 9:6; Mic. 5:2), and to “walk [וְהִתְהַלַּכְתִּי֙] among [בְּת֣וֹכְכֶ֔ם]” us (Lev. 26:12) “and be” our God!
The LXX was initially translated back in the 3rd century BC. This is clear evidence from the earliest sources that the messiah would be divine! The Micah 5:2 version of the LXX essentially confirms the DIVINE origin of the prophesied Messiah:
It means that his origins are “from the beginning of days.” In other words, the messiah is the “Ancient of Days” (Aramaic: עַתִּיק יֹומִין, ʿatīq yōmīn; παλαιὸς ἡμερῶν, palaiòs hēmerôn), which is another name for God in Daniel 7:9!

A Light For All People
1 The people that walked in darkness Have seen a great light; They that dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them hath the light shined.
2 Thou hast multiplied the nation, Thou hast increased their joy; They joy before Thee according to the joy in harvest, As men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
3 For the yoke of his burden, And the staff of his shoulder, The rod of his oppressor, Thou hast broken as in the day of Midian.
4 For every boot stamped with fierceness, And every cloak rolled in blood, Shall even be for burning, for fuel of fire.
5 For a child is born unto us, A son is given unto us; And the government is upon his shoulder; And his name is called Pele-joez-el-gibbor-Abi-ad-sar-shalom;
6 That the government may be increased, And of peace there be no end, Upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, To establish it, and to uphold it Through justice and through righteousness From henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts doth perform this.
7 The Lord sent a word into Jacob, And it hath lighted upon Israel. — Isaiah 9:1-7 | JPS Tanakh 1917 (JPST) The Holy Scriptures according to the Masoretic text; Jewish Publication Society 1917.
