Building on my original drawing of Serpent king sycorax Andromeda is a friend's tarnished

There's a lot more lore to him, its a bit long; so here's this summary instead

Across the events of eldenring, Sycorax was a devout follower of Miquella; until he approached the shadow keep. Freed from the charm he was left lost, confused, and with a great deal of things to grapple with. In short form, his personal journey led to him holding a great deal of resentment. He'd initially aimed for the seat of eldenlord, but being completely fed up motivated to take hold of his heritage tied to an outer god called the serpent mother(i've got no art of her but I symbolized her with feathered snakes). He makes his long time friend elden lord when he finally finds himself back at the foot of the erdtree.

If anyone would be interested to learn more about him I would gladly share!

ever since the tarnished quartet became a thing i've been siting here, thinking, "damn. dove and bestie are all alone while these guys are so many."

and then i realized! it doesn't have to be that way! who cares what's in the game! i can make up whatever i want!

so anyway i've come to the conclusion that bestie and dove can co-exist. dove remains as the tarnished melina picks up in limgrave and challenges morgott, before running into shabriri and embracing the flame of frenzy.

but bestie? bestie goes through a bit of a change. i decided, i'll use them as the face of the int build tarnished. which led to carian knight bestie, who during their service to the carians before becoming tarnished, took on the name moonaurus.

can you guys what they'll end up doing? if you guessed entering into ranni's service and being the one to do her questline you'd be correct!

im not sure if i want bestie, aka from now on moonaurus, and dove to have known eachother even before the shattering or if id want them to meet after, as two tarnished.... im leaning to them meeting as tarnished though, specifically after dove inherits the flame and is left without melina.

either way, the two find common ground and travel together. dove will burn the erdtree and agrees to not fight for the title of eldenlord and in turn moonaurus accepts to help at least attempt finding something to help with the flame of frenzy.

aka they burn the tree -> bestie/moonaurus challenges godfrey and radagon/elden beast by themself -> ranni offers insight by suggesting to seek out the haligtree for malenia and hint on miquella -> they look for the haligtree -> look for malenia -> "i have never known defeat" -> *defeat* -> try to find miquella to get him to use his fancy unalloyed gold -> somewhere before that squeeze in a productive conversation between dove and melina (its not all okay, but they can work on it) -> DLC -> *lots of pain later* -> "boc! sew him!" -> "thanks man here's a golden needle!" -> seal the flame -> happy ever after because i cant be mean like that

Elden Ring does tell a story

Okay, so I have been seeing a lot of people including journalists and game developers saying that Elden Ring does not have a story and I wanted to put my own two cents out there. First thing first, if you haven't played pick up a copy and play it. Next let me tell you a little something about storytelling, just because there isn't walls of text and tons of dialogue to explain everything doesn't mean the game has no story, most of the storytelling in Elden Ring is done by short and few cutscenes and environmental storytelling. Now you might be wondering "EldenLord, what is environmental storytelling"? Let me explain, simply put environmental storytelling is where most of the context of the story is shown in the background, such as giant corpses or scarlet rot covering everything, this is peak level design, when you can look at an area and have a good idea of what took place there based on your surroundings and the enemies you face there, that is environmental storytelling. So for those of you who are still skeptical, let me remind you that fantasy novelist George RR. Martin Himself helped create the world of Elden Ring, so if you don't think it tells a story, you're not looking hard enough.
