Relationship status: Oh-so-basic heteronormativity! Married for 43 years and produced 2 now-adult spawn.

Favorite color: Deep wine-red, like a cabernet sauvignon or sangiovese wine.

Song stuck in your head: Dancing Barefoot, Patti Smith Group.  Likely from watching the faux-stalgic and soapy series Daisy Jones and The Six. Not as good as Almost Famous, but kind of a guilty pleasure.  On the other hand, I do believe I would fancast Sam Claflin as Sámaril.  Claflin has the right facial structure (cheekbones, jawline. brows) and most importantly, nails that haunted look which comes from apprenticing with Istyar Aulendil. :^D

Favorite food: I have no single favorite since I eat a wide variety of foods, but I’d say fresh, well-seasoned, and prepared with care fit the favorite category.

Last song played: The Land Unknown (Hollow Heart Verses) by Landon Blood. This is the intro music for Season 2 episodes of the podcast Old Gods of Appalachia.

Dream Trip: Retracing my maternal grandfather’s journey by bicycle from Calais to Marseilles to Bordeaux and then by train to Paris and Le Havre.  This was in 1905 when he was 21 years old.  He kept a journal of his adventure.  It’s a fascinating look into another time, and his writing is not half-bad! He later graduated from law school and became a practicing attorney.

Last thing I Googled: Recipe for Jewish-style beef brisket in the Instant Pot. A change from my usual goyishe pot roast.

Hi I just SLAMMED Lacrimore in one sitting and boy was it EXCELLENT. I loved each and every one of the characters--Sivre's searching and Dege's practical kindness deffo my faves but Vandorus's hubris absolutely enthralling--loved how their relationships waxed and waned as they wanted different things from each other, loved the rituals and the richness of the texture and the scenery. There was so much in it for such a short little book! I'm putting it next to Haunting of Hill House on my shelf because it feels like they should be siblings. Very much looking forward to everything you do next!

These characters are from eldritchhedgehog’s latest project, Deliverance Rock. Left is Mora, eccentric novelist-framed-murderer, and to the right is Ness, fisherwoman.The novel is still in the early stages, so I don’t know them very well yet, but I craved this content.

oh hey again tumblr. remember back when i said i was writing a book? yeah that's still a thing. here are two of my characters drawn by the lovely and perfect @eldritchhedgehog. damn good, right? if you're not already follow her for some more dope-ass drawings and updates on her creative work of which there is a lot. so the one on the left is jonah. so far, he's kind of the hero of the story, but i'm afraid we don't know much about him as of right now. he's a pretty cool guy though, and he's currently running for his life to escape an asylum filled with monsters, accompanied by a weird girl who can float and walk through walls. will he escape? tune in to find out. the one on the right is auren. funny story about auren: she originally was just supposed to be a supporting character because i came up with her name when i was talking to my friends and really liked it. one thing led to another and then boom. now she's a main character, a badass hunter of monsters who uses her quick wit, wealth of experience, and twenty-pound sledgehammer to take down any creature in her path. want to see more? stay with us.
