This is still my favourite thing I've ever electroformed. I love how this Ivy leaf turned out, with the leaf veins still visible and the colour it turned once oxidised.

Hoping to make more of these, but must remember to leave them in a little longer next time so a thicker copper coat builds up.

I was able to get a chunk of stuff done last night, though only a few pieces will be done for the weekend event.

I "built" 4 more pieces last night - a new, bigger racoon jaw necklace, a gingko leaf pendant, an amethyst point pendant, and skull moth w/crystal pendant. Still need to do some more reinforcing/sealing and all of the conductive paint, but...yay getting things made?

Both electroforming baths are currently running, and two more pieces should be ready for the baths when the current pieces are done. (This is all on top of the 4 pieces that are already finished, but need to be sealed.)

A wee nod to the works of J M Barrie and Peter Pan with this lost and found necklace assemblage. At the centre is a broken brooch that I've turned into focal point for this story telling pendant. From the base of the middle leaf is a real acorn that I have electroformed, silver plated and painted in alcohol inks which nestles next to the tiny thimble with the words "For A Good Girl". After Wendy has sewn Peter’s shadow back on she states that she would like to give him a kiss. He holds out his hand and she places a thimble in it. When Peter says he’ll give her a kiss, he drops an acorn into her hand. Last night I went to the monthly group meeting for the Photosynthesis Project. We are a group of professional artists and writers using photosynthesis as inspiration for our artwork. We meet each month to discus texts, images, and works in progress. In November we will display our artwork in a group exhibition.
