Much to the chagrin of those in his area, Elijah severely abuses his position of power. As a new Sheriff, he has extorted all of the local vampire-owned businesses, thrown parties where humans were involuntarily fed on (makes it more fun that way, according to Elijah) and turned a harem’s worth of women. Despite this lack of order, he’s very diligent about collecting his protection money, stopping by Fangtasia every night.

“I’m Serena Altshul with MTV news. This hour on the popular Tik Tok platform, another video detailing the existence of supposed vampires has gone viral since being posted to the site this afternoon. The account @theauthorityad_ first posted a cryptic message last Friday, addressed to ‘the citizens of the world’ with a coffin against a black background and a warped voice. In the video, the voice states that something is coming, a ‘significant shift in society and the world as we know it’ before it ends abruptly. The account amassed over three million followers after it went viral overnight, shutting down Google and Tik Tok for up to two hours as users bombarded the sites with their speculation and theories about the video referencing vampires.”

“The latest video appears to be posted in response to the parody videos that dominated the For You Page after the first video went viral and finally puts a face to the voice behind it all, and confirms the idea of vampires are emerging,”

The news report then played the seven second video of a middle-aged blond woman telling the general population to get ready because they were ‘coming soon’. She smiled a wide grin, showing extended fangs.

Tara rolled her eyes and pushed her plate across the counter to the bar. “Them fangs don’t even look real,”

Sookie took the plate and set it on an empty plate. She snickered. “Did that ruin your appetite? You ate two fries and ain’t even touched your hamburger,”

“It’s the fact that people are really buying into this, you know the demand for garlic’s skyrocketed? Next thing you know, it’ll be aliens are living among us and then foil will be sold out everywhere so the sci-fi geeks can make those stupid damn hats,”

“You tellin me you don’t believe it’s possible?” Sam asked as he walked behind the bar.

“Hell no, do you?”

He stretched his palms on the counter and leaned over, slightly invading Tara’s personal bubble. “I think… anything’s possible,”

Who remembers Serena from MTV lol

The books and the show of True Blood don’t show how vampires actually came out of the coffin so I thought I’d take a whack at my own interpretation of how that would have played out, through Tara’s and Elijah’s POV, only I changed the setting to a modern day. What better way to go viral than on Tik Tok?

The Great Revelation will coincide with the release of Tru Blood of course 😉

This is for a new fic I’m working on called Princess where she sees Elijah in her dreams years before she meets him, having no idea he is a vampire.

I was writing this on my computer since my heathens destroyed my laptop (thinking of shipping them overseas until they’re 18) and my wee little five yo says Mommy, stop typing bad words. 🤦🏽‍♀️ this is true blood fanfic, kid. Like… can you NOT?

On the other hand I’m proud my baby’s reading skills are skyrocketing, as far as comprehension goes, we’ll see. Kindergarten ain’t ready!
