Duet With A Dragon (NSFW ecchi-comedy adventure RP)
@a-den-of-demons
Outside of the den of a recently slayed magma golem, a male kitsune wearing what appears to be the robes of an exorcist pulls out the charred but still alive body of a blue haired ninja. The fox sighed as he looked over at the ninja
“Zac, you need to stop taking on solo missions, the guild puts the ‘party of 2’ label not as a recommendation. If it wasn’t for your healing and me getting you out of this mess, you would have been a charred corpse from that golem’s magma beams” he said as he puts the palm of his hand into his face, muttering to himself in frustration in a language similar to our own Chinese
The ninja sat up, an elixir still in his hand to maintain the massive amount of healing that ate up his MP “Fennec, we’ve been over this. I’m not dragging anyone into my battles. I don’t want to-“ he was cut off by the fox
“Yuki’s death wasn’t your fault! You can’t just risk your life because you’re afraid of a teammate dying! It was 4 years ago, and I know you loved her deeply….but she wouldn’t want you to be like this…..she’d want you to move on.” Fennec put his hand on Zac’s shoulder, noticing how silent the blue haired ninja went when being up Yuki. Yuki was a Kunochi from his clan that was going to marry until a demon ripped her apart in front of him while he was left immobile due to a paralysis spell. He was still dealing with the trauma and worried that anyone he’d get attached to would perish….didnt help that the demon taunted him as he ripped his beloved apart, boasting that it would slaughter anyone who dare fell in love with the ninja. Granted, he did slaughter the demon in a blind rage upon the paralysis wearing off and the bloodbath leading to the demon having a very slow and agonizing death…..but those words still were imprinted in his brain due to the trauma.
“Look Zac, you’ve known me since you were 4 and I’ve been in this world for 322 years, I know you have the strength deep down to overcome this darkness in your heart that’s keeping you from accepting help. While I can’t help you as I specialize in exorcizing demons and purifying corrupt yokai, I know someone who might help. They’re also an adventurer and a powerful one too…..she might be able to warm up to the idea of having a party member. Trust me on this, besides, who’s your best friend” he said with a somber smile as he looked at Zac. Zac smiles a bit and responds “y….you are”
“That’s my buddy!” he said as he pats Zac on the back. Over the following days Fennec would contact this acquaintance and instructed Zac to meet up with this mysterious woman in about seven days. Seven days had past and he was waiting for her in a guild hall while at a table by himself. He was still unsure about this, but he was still going to give it a shot, he had trusted Fennec in the past with help with his issues but the doubt and worry still plagued him.

Commander Henri
Heehee she's my main,,, a harbinger gremlin
Story !
Henri was a necromancer, alchemist and a student in the college of Dynamics, later becoming an assistant in a lab. She was as snooty and snobby as any other Asura (but even more brilliant, she says), especially passive aggressive and always reminding everyone of her genius. She would always swear up and down that she'd become the boss of everyone in that lab soon.
However, on one unfortunate day, there was an 'accident' at the lab. Some were killed, the rest were injured and escaped. Henri managed to escape as well, only to realize that her entire left arm was missing. It was a long recovery, more mentally than physically. Henri was left-handed and, even as a chaotic Dynamics student, never once anticipated that her pristine lab would end up as nothing but rubble, let alone take her dominant arm with it. Because of this, she was now considered useless, and couldn't get any work anywhere at all.
That 'accident' really bothered her. She was a very diligent and meticulous lab worker and kept things in tip-top shape, how could there be any accident at all? And she (generously) assumed all of the other Asura there were competent. Through some obsessive investigation on her own, and not much to her surprise, the Inquest had targeted the lab. Henri went back to the ruins of that lab and searched for any Inquest hideouts nearby.
Once she found it, she trashed the entire place with her necrotic minions and deadly elixirs. She tore off the arm of a golem, and tuned it into a prosthetic arm. Even if it was a crappy substitute, it still was better than nothing. It made her feel a little better, but she hides the arm by wearing a long sleeve and a full glove. Of course, she trained herself to do things with her other arm. Even while having a prosthetic, there are endless scenarios that could end horribly with it.
Losing her arm gave her a new perspective of things, realizing how quick Asuran society discards you for any little reason, your fault or not. Her Asuran arrogance fizzled out mildly, and she stopped using terms like 'Bookah'. She has a new boundless hatred for the Inquest, and laughs in the face of chaos and danger. She decided to go off on her own, distancing from Rata Sum. That made her perceived as a 'weirdo' and outsider, now that she finds more comfort being with the other races and other outcasted Asura.
With the threat of the Elder Dragons becoming more prominent every day, Henri became a commander in the Pact and later on joins Dragon's Watch even before its creation.

Been thinking lately about the farmer like, stopping the corruption and the Adventurers having an absolute crisis about what to do now that they don't need to fight off monsters. I think Lance and the First Slash will be fine because they can focus on exploration, but Isaac and the other Caslte Village Adventurers probably wouldn't know what to do with themselves.
Mm, yes and no. Depends on which adventurers we're talking about. You're right, The First Slash Clan, and the Adventurer's Guild won't feel the difference too much since their area is still full of monsters that haven't been touched by corruption. They will instead take comfort in knowing that dark magic will no longer spread further. The people of Galdora continent... Hmm, there could be two scenarios here.
On the one hand, the adventurers of Castle Village will always have something to do, just like The First Slash Clan. Monsters and secrets are everywhere, it's just that the same Isaac and Alesia will have to go further to do their jobs (which the scarred monster hunter will sometimes complain about, but it's nothing that totems and magic can't help with). He and Alesia (at least) are professionals, and such people will always be in demand. I'm sure the Galdora continent holds many treasures that were previously inaccessible due to dark corruption. Camilla, through her gift and talents, will smell another source of magic/artifact/treasure sites, and with a wave of her hand will send adventurers and mages out to retrieve what may be of use to the entire Village.
So the town will continue to live and earn its bread, just adapting to the fact that dark magic is no longer behind the barrier. Farmer's deeds will not harm their lives (on the contrary, the young adventurer from Stardew Valley will be considered a hero in the Castle Village like Marlon!).
On the other hand... Farmer did dramatically change the way of life for wizards and adventurers, and they did it even before Castle Village was mentioned. In Marlon's 4 ❤️ event, our teacher and the head of the Guild said that he and the young adventurers from The First Slash (or was it the Castle Village? I forgot...) went to the Mines to find monsters there and test the skills of the newcomers. But it didn't work out, because "imagine their disappointment when they found out that the Mines were almost completely empty.". Farmer has already managed to reduce the number of Slimes, Golems, Shadow people, etc. by half in a couple of seasons, and that's not the limit yet. Now the other Guilds need a new place with not too strong monsters to teach the youngsters how to fight...
If we mention our raids in Crimson Baldlans, Farmer will kill so many mummies and serpents, collect so many artifacts and treasures that will deprive the source of income of many residents of Castle Village. And this is their livelihood and way of living, Farmer destroys monsters not really for money, but for the idea/task/just because they can.
If Farmer has somehow wiped out the corruption in Crimson Baldlans altogether, the local Guild will fall into a temporary crisis. Orders and contracts are gone, loot from monsters can no longer be collected because they simply don't exist, ingredients for elixirs are already hard to get.... Especially those who have devoted their lives solely to the study of corrupted magic will feel the blow. The village will adapt, but again, it won't be immediate and many will already be surviving rather than living. Ironically, the hero under Marlon's wing brought both salvation and trouble.
This, incidentally, ties in with one of my favourite headcanons, that Isaac and some of the other adventurers dislike (and some outright hate) the Farmer for taking jobs away from half the inhabitants. And okay, if they were totally a monster hunter, but they have their own farm, rich in fertile soil, livestock, and multiple sources of income in the mine and Skull Cavern. But noooo, they've gone to Crimson Baldlans and started "helping out" here too. And I like to think that Farmer is so good at completing quests that some adventurers hide tasks, or even chase Farmer away from the notice board. Dick move, but it is what it is. Camilla notices this, but instead of scolding her subordinates for being rude, she gives Farmer some rather difficult tasks. The witch will find an alternative, because although the hatred for Farmer is undeserved, there is some truth in the Castle Village Guildmaster's words - Farmer has really... affected the local economy.
#stardew valley expanded#sve#This is a really great idea! Thank you so much Sky for the headcanon! ❤️#glad to see you again in my askbox 😊💕#sve headcanons#thanks for the ask!

Happy MOLEY MONDAY!!!!!!!!!!
Moley is preparing their Thanksgiving feast for everyone in Mirror World! (The holiday is giving thanks to Dark Mind for existing)
What’s everyone bringing to the potluck?
Dark Meta Knight brought Radish Ruins sikil p’ak (pumpkin seed dip), in the spirit of the autumn season. He didn’t feel like cooking anything too complicated that day. Unlike a certain someone, the meals he makes are surprisingly edible.
Shadow Kirby brought pumpkin pie and sweet apple cider, steeped with cinnamon sticks and other warm spices (child-friendly, of course). They may not have that big of an appetite, but they do love pie!
Shadow Dedede brought stuffing with smoked fish sausage, toasted bread and fresh herbs. He stressed quite a bit about getting everything right; Mega Titan was quick to lend him a hand.
King Golem brought a roast beast; perfectly crispy skin, tender meat, painstakingly dry brined in salt and herbs and brown sugar for several days, stuffed with bread and sausage, and roasted with citrus and aromatics. His people have fallen on hard times ever since they got sued by Wizards of the Coast, but he managed to splurge for the occasion.
Moley brought fluffy mashed tubers - the noblest of all starches - with generous amounts of cream, melted butter, cave-aged cheese, roasted garlic, bacon bits and chives. Only the best and boldest for his beloved lord of the labyrinth.
Wiz brought enchanted apple fritters dusted with cinnamon sugar and drizzled in caramel. They’re tasty, but have an odd tendency to cause drowsiness in those who eat too many.
Gabriel brought baked shellfish mac n’ cheese with a golden breadcrumb topping, packed with sweet lobster and flaky crabmeat.
Kracko brought freshly baked bread rolls, cornbread and biscuits, prepared with plenty of help from his Waddle Doos. He doesn’t go here (‘here’ being the Mirror World), but was invited to participate in the festivities nonetheless.
Mega Titan brought varenyky filled with potatoes, caramelized onions, and meaty boletes foraged from the neighbouring pine forest.
Master Hand brought a tasting plate of desserts from distant galaxies. Buttery, glistening caramel candies imported from the golden shores of Eagleland; colourful, cream-filled sweets with elaborate toppings that may or may not be pet food; a tart full of tender, caramelized peaches that electrocuted Moley and put DMK in a coma.
Crazy Hand brought his world famous Allegra® chicken.
Dark Taranza brought ucuiltamalli (maguey worm tamales) and Sporalian michmolli with fresh cavefish and olm. At first he tried hypnotizing Moley into cooking something delicious for him but that turned out to be more of a headache than actually, like, cooking it himself.
Parallel Susie brought cranberry sauce (slightly burnt) and dubious elixir. Dart shotgunned two bottles’ worth à la Stone Cold Steve Austin and then he threw up.

DQIX Post Game Alchemy: A Non-Minmaxxer's Agate of Evolution Guide
[For the sake of not having to type agate of evolution 5 million times, I will be abbreviating it to AoE, you just have to remember that, in this case, that doesn't stand for area of effect. Thanks!]
As the title implies, making agates of evolution is a post game endeavour because of one specific required ingredient, so don't look past the read more if you're not comfortable with spoilers! To fully complete your alchenomicon and get your hands on some of the strongest items in game, you'll need around 90 AoE's, which is an incredibly grindy task. I hope this guide will be useful to anyone. I've cut out a few potential options for farming certain items because I personally don't judge them worthwhile and this guide is long enough as is, but I promise I've explored most avenues! That being said, this is NOT a minmaxxer guide. There are much more efficient ways of farming, largely through grottos at high levels and no doubt a few methods I have no idea about. I'm not one to do seed checks and figure out the numbers, and if you are then this likely isn't the guide for you!
RIGHT! For one (1) AoE you will need
2x sainted soma
2x ethereal stones
1x chronocrystal
Starting with the chronocrystal because it's easiest to address, you can only get these* by buying them from the Lonely Coast item shop for 50kg. Personally I farm gold passively while working to collect the other items needed, but if you're looking to do that specifically the three main ways are to repeatedly buy ingredients to make Ear Cozy's or Gold Mail, then selling those, OR to repeatedly accept the fake gold golem quest in Gleeba and kill those. While gold golems drop a cool 500g as is the quest grants you an extra 1000 upon completion, so you might as well. While note as repeatable/efficient I also collect platinum and mythril ore from the respawn points around the map and sell those for 1500 and 3000g each respectively.
*There is also one to be found in the Tower of Nod, in a red chest on L6. One can also be received as a reward for quest 173, which needs you to kill seaverns, which can only be found in high rank water grottos.
SAINTED SOMA
Requires 2x lucida shard, 2x sage's elixir and 2x astral plume.
For the lucida shard's:
Made with 3x brighten rock and 3x evencloth
Received as first time and repeat reward for quest 61
Lucida shard's can be pickpocketed/dropped by cosmic chimera's, who will otherwise drop or be carrying Brighten rock's, making them most useful for farming in that respect, though they only show up in mid to high level cave grottos
There are 2 material respawn places each that you can find evencloth's and brighten rocks, check this map for locations (this will be relevant again later.
Evencloth's are otherwise easiest to pickpocket/loot from the ragged reaper's near Zere, and failing cosmic chimeras the goodybag's near Batsureg or in The Bowhole are your next best bet for brighten rock's
For the sage's elixir:
Requires 1x magic water, 1x royal soil and 3x nectar
Received on repeat completions of quest 50
Magic water CAN be alchemised, but isn't worth the trouble. You're better off buying it for 500g in most item shops or farming/stealing from the jinkster's on Newid Isle
Royal soil can be found at 2 material respawn locations
Failing that, they can be farmed/pickpocketed from the mad moai on the Lonely Plains/Heights of Loneliness
For the astral plume's:
Requires 3x flurry feather's, 2x fresh water, 1x angel bell
Received as first time and repeat reward for quest 121
Flurry feathers can be found in two material respawn locations, and can otherwise be farmed from weakon beakon's in The Bad Cave
Fresh water can be found in two material respawn locations, failing that go for cheeky tiki's in Gerzuun or around the Khaalag Coast
I usually just buy angel bells since they're only 90g and available at most item shops, but you can also farm them from the chariot chappie's around Coffinwell
ETHEREAL STONE
Requires 1x enchanted stone, 1x perfect panacea and 2x narspicious
For the enchanted stone's:
Requires 2x thunderball, 2x ice crystal, 1x mystifying mixture
Received as first time and repeat reward for quest 60, however the quest requires nectar and narspicious which you will be using for other things, so judge carefully if it's worth it
Thunderball's can be found in two material respawn locations, failing that farm cumulus rex at Wyrmtail or Wyrmsmaw
Ice crystals can be found in two material respawn locations, and can otherwise be farmed from freezing fog's in the Gittish Empire, Gittingham Palace or Cringle Coast
Mystifying mixture regrettably also must be alchemised, as the chance of getting them from mudrakers is less than 1/100. You'll need 1x belle cap, 1x manky mud and 3x cowpat
Belle caps can be found in 3 areas on the map, and are easiest to farm from mushroom mage's in the Tower of Trades
Manky mud can be found in 2 material respawn locations, and are otherwise farmable from walking corpses on Newid Isle or in the Tower of Trades (kill two birds with one stone in the Tower of Trades for more efficiency)
Cowpat's respawn near Zere, or farmed from bag o' laughs' in The Hexagon
For the perfect panacea:
Requires 1x panacea, 1x angel bell and 1x wakerobin
As said, I usually just buy angel bells since they're only 90g and available at most item shops, but you can also farm them from the chariot chappie's around Coffinwell
Wakerobin's can be found at two material respawn locations, or be bought for 66g each at the Bloomingdale item shop at the entrance to town
Panacea is another thing to alchemise. It requires 1x each of special medicine, superior medicine and moonwort bulb.
Special medicine can be made with 2x strong medicine (which can be bought for 36g each at the Gleeba, Batsureg or Wormwood Creek item shop) (Or farmed from zumeanie's around Slurry Coast/Dourbridge) (Or made with 2x medicinal herbs, which are 8g in item shops and can be farmed from slimes near Angel Falls)
Superior medicine requires 1x medicinal herb + 1x strong medicine. See above notes for those.
Moonwort bulb's can be bought for 30g at item shops or farmed from leafy larrikin's in Eastern Coffinwell
Finally, narspicious can be found at two material respawn locations, or farmed from shivery shrubbery's found in Snowberia (lower drop rate, but easier to farm) or from sculpture vulture's found in The Bowhole/Wyrmtail (these also drop resurrock's which are used in a few other recipes if that skews anyone's choice)
[And that about covers it! Thanks for reading, and happy questing! May RNG be kind to us all.]

I've gotten into Baldur's Gate 3 challenge runs lately, inspired by Bouch and Proxy Gate Tactician on youtube. First my friend challenged me to see if a "no spells" run would be possible - I took it further to add more challenge and did a martial-only run with no spells, no illithid powers, no elixirs, no potions (including health potions), and only uncommon rarity equipment. It was possible, but some of the optional bosses in Act 3 were painful. Do NOT try to fight Raphael without spells.
Then I wanted to do a single damage type run, and settled on lightning as the easiest. The wet condition is super overpowered, and the only lightning-immune enemy that you can't avoid entirely is Balthazar's flesh golem (which is not immune to being nibbled to death by rats ;) ). Because it would be so easy, I did it on custom difficulty with Honour Mode mechanics switched on. Still the most difficult part was being forced to kill Minsc because lightning spells can't be nonlethal :(
Today, I begin a REAL challenge of a single damage type: psychic only. I did some testing during the lightning run, and I believe it is possible despite the abundance of psychic-immune enemies. Wish me luck!

The Origins of Frankenstein’s Monster

Mary Shelley is credited with creating modern horror and is considered the first science fiction author. However, the idea of bringing the dead back to life has existed in various forms long before Shelley’s groundbreaking work.
Origins of Reanimation in Mythology and Literature:
Mythological Precedents:
Ancient Egypt: In Egyptian mythology, resurrection was a core belief, particularly for gods like Osiris, who was killed and dismembered by his brother Set, only to be reassembled and brought back to life by his wife, Isis. The myth of Osiris was deeply connected to the Egyptian practices of mummification and belief in an afterlife.
Greek Mythology: Stories of resurrection abound in Greek mythology. For example:
Orpheus attempts to bring back his wife Eurydice from the dead, descending into the underworld to retrieve her.
Asclepius, the god of medicine, was believed to have the power to bring the dead back to life, which angered Zeus and led to Asclepius’ destruction by a thunderbolt.
Christianity: The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a central tenet of Christianity, and stories of raising the dead, such as Lazarus being brought back to life by Jesus, are found in the Bible. These narratives of miraculous resurrection are among the most enduring and influential in Western culture.
Jewish Folklore (The Golem): In Jewish mysticism, the Golem is a creature made from clay and brought to life through mystical means, usually as a protector of the Jewish people. While not a reanimated human, the idea of giving life to an inanimate object or body can be seen as a precursor to Frankenstein’s monster.
Reanimation in Medieval and Renaissance Lore:
Alchemy: During the medieval and Renaissance periods, alchemists and early scientists sought the elixir of life or the philosopher’s stone, substances that were believed to grant immortality or the power to bring the dead back to life. The pursuit of eternal life and the creation of artificial life were common themes in alchemical writings, blending early science with mysticism.
Paracelsus (1493–1541): This Swiss physician and alchemist wrote about the possibility of creating life through alchemical processes. He is sometimes credited with inspiring the concept of the homunculus—a small, artificial human being created through alchemy. While not strictly about reanimating the dead, Paracelsus' writings reflect the Renaissance fascination with life creation.
Faust Legend: The story of Faust, a scholar who makes a pact with the devil in exchange for knowledge and power, also touches on themes of forbidden knowledge and the manipulation of life and death. Various versions of the Faust story involve raising spirits or attempting to conquer death.
Pre-Shelley Reanimation Stories in Literature:
Before Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein, there were several literary works and ideas related to bringing the dead back to life:
"The Infernal Desire of Dr. Faust" (16th century) – The Faust legend, particularly in its various adaptations, often includes necromancy and attempts to raise the dead. Christopher Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus (1604) includes themes of forbidden knowledge and the desire to control life and death.
"The Monk" by Matthew Lewis (1796) – This Gothic novel contains themes of supernatural reanimation and necromancy. Lewis’s work contributed to the dark, supernatural atmosphere of Gothic fiction, which heavily influenced Shelley’s Frankenstein.
The Gothic literary tradition, emerging in the late 18th century with works like Horace Walpole's The Castle of Otranto (1764) and Ann Radcliffe's The Mysteries of Udolpho (1794), often dealt with themes of death, decay, and the supernatural. While these stories did not specifically focus on scientific reanimation, the mood and fascination with death in Gothic literature certainly influenced Shelley.
The Romantic Movement: Shelley’s novel is also a product of the Romantic era, which was marked by an interest in the sublime, the power of nature, and the dangers of overreaching ambition. Frankenstein’s desire to conquer death and create life can be seen as a critique of the period’s fascination with scientific progress and human hubris.
Mary Shelley’s Innovation:
What sets Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein apart from earlier reanimation stories is the scientific angle. Shelley introduces the idea that modern science and experimentation, rather than magic or divine intervention, could bring a dead body back to life. Victor Frankenstein is a scientist, not a magician or sorcerer, and his pursuit of creating life through scientific means taps into the early 19th-century fascination with electricity, galvanism, and biology.
Galvanism is electricity produced by chemical action. During Shelley’s time, scientists were experimenting with electricity and its effects on animal and human tissue. Luigi Galvani had discovered that applying an electric current to the nerves of a dead frog’s legs caused them to twitch, which led to theories that electricity might be a key to life. These experiments were highly publicized, and Shelley was likely influenced by the idea that electricity could "reanimate" dead tissue.
The first adaptation of Frankenstein:
Universal’s 1931 adaptation of Frankenstein, starring Boris Karloff, is the most famous film version of Shelley’s novel, but it was not the first:
"Frankenstein" (1910) – The first film adaptation of Frankenstein was a silent short produced by Thomas Edison’s studio. This early version takes liberties with Shelley’s novel, but it shows how quickly Frankenstein became a cultural touchstone.

Universal's Frankenstein (1931):
Frankenstein (1931), directed by James Whale and starring Boris Karloff, is only loosely based on Shelley’s 1818 novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, and heavily inspired by a 1927 stage adaptation, Whale's film redefined the story for the screen, creating an enduring image of the misunderstood monster.
Karloff’s portrayal of the Monster, with his flat-topped head, sunken eyes, and neck bolts, became the definitive look for Frankenstein’s monster in popular culture, transcending the novel’s description. The film also established many of the tropes we now associate with the Frankenstein story, such as the mad scientist, the laboratory with flashing electrical equipment, and the iconic scene of the monster’s creation with Colin Clive's cry of "It’s alive!" Whale’s Frankenstein set the standard for all subsequent adaptations and created a lasting cultural image of both the Monster and his tragic existence.

Making actually good updates to Clash Royale every day until Supercell fixes their stupid game
Evos are honestly so much easier to do than real cards and especially full updates seriously it's basically just giving an existing card a gimmick
Day 34: Small spell evos
So I thought there should be competitors to the Evo zap
So now there is
Evo 1: Log
The log will now hit surfaces and bounce back away from them. The log Evo itself has a slightly longer range (maybe 1.5 tiles) but the log, if it hits a building, will bounce off of it. After bouncing, the log gets a bit more range (maybe 2.5 tiles per bounce) so you could make some dumb infinity logs in 7x elixir friendly battles by placing buildings now. This bounce also means it can hit troops twice (and push them twice), but the bounce will not affect troops, meaning you can still knock a golem if you really want and the log will not bounce. Keep in mind the log will not bounce off of your own buildings (if it did the Evo wouldn't work against goblin barrel). This Evo is 2 cycle (which I just realized I didn't mention the cycle time for the other cards. Just use the elixir president Clash already uses.)
Evo 2: Giant snowball
The giant snowball is now hilariously fun to use. The slow lasts longer, and slows more. But the snowball has two more influential changes. It gets the range of arrows and gets a MASSIVE knockback boost. Basically the giant snowball is now a MORE giant snowball. The new knockback and range can be helpful for getting more defences away from your attack, which is also true for the slowness buff.
Evo 3: Barb barrel
My personal golden child. My new gimmick idea is also pretty funny. The barb inside the barrel is almost the same as regular Evo barbs, with one key difference. Every troop the barrel kills his increase the rage time on the Evo barb. This means if it kills no troops,a regular Evo barb would come out. But if it destroyed a skarmy, for example, on it's way to coming out, it will now have a rage time of the usual, plus half a second for every skeleton that died.
Supercell plz add this Evo barb barrel
#clash royale#supercell#fan idea#clash update arg#fix your stupid fuxing game supercell the hell are you doing???#this game needs to be fixed goddammit#this stupid game needs to be fixed

Azalin Reviews: Darklord Meredoth
Domain: Nocturnal Sea Domain Formation: 635 BC Power Level:💀💀💀💀⚫ Sources: Domains of Dread (2e), Ship of Horrors (2e), Nocturnal Sea Gazetteer (non-canon), Sir not appearing in 5e
Meredoth is the Darklord of Nebligotode, which became the Nocturnal Sea during the Grand Conjunction in 750 BC. There were a lot of retcons and changes between his rule of Nebligotode and the Nocturnal Sea, so I will be utilizing the story after the Grand Conjunction as well as some “non-canon” material provided by the Fraternity of Shadows. There is no mention of Meredoth in 5e, but the Nocturnal Sea is briefly referenced in the write up on Darkon. Does that make me your ruler, Meredoth? That would be amusing and perhaps a reason for me to return to my dreaded prison.
Meredoth is confined to the island of Todstein, an island that is as cold and uninviting as Meredoth himself. He constantly attempts to defy the “no man is an island” saying. How exactly did he come to this realm? Let’s take a brief look at his life. Meredoth was born in the Alphatain Empire in Mystara and raised by golems. This isn’t your classic “raised by wolves because their parents died and something took pity on the child” story. This was because his parents didn’t want to bother raising him themselves. I’ve witnessed many of his little temper tantrums, so I can understand where they’re coming from. Still, one should not neglect one’s children. It never ends well.
His father’s parenting skills ended at creating a few golems to look after him and his mother preferred using Enchantments to keep him well-behaved and disciplined. In addition to his rather love-deprived upbringing, he witnessed his mother become addicted to a magical drug known as tsongha which had a relaxing, yet withering effect on the user’s mind.
The Alphatain Empire was a Magocracy, which essentially equates to those with talent in the arcane are granted high ranks in society. Though something I can respect, a dangerous prospect when one considers the effects magical experimentation can have on the mind. Meredoth met those requirements and discovered his extraordinary skills in Necromancy while studying at university. He even found himself making friends and perhaps he would have been more sympathetic to the living if one of his so called friends hadn’t just used Meredoth to steal his research and claim it for themselves. This resulted in Meredoth using tsongha on the betrayer and claiming their research in turn. A practice he repeated on many occasions.
Meredoth continued his research, conducting experiments on living animals and people he believed would not be missed. His ultimate goal was to create an intelligent servant devoid of troublesome emotions and personal ambitions. Of course, Enchantment would have been a better form of magic to achieve such things, but Meredoth’s skill in that school is wholly inadequate. Ultimately, he failed.
As his own flesh began to age, Meredoth sought out means to become immortal. He believed lichdom beneath him. I would argue that he likely does not have the talent to perform the necessary rituals seeing as some of it requires the use of Enchantment magic, which, as we know, he sorely lacks skill in, but he remains adamant that true immortality is not a state of undeath. The path to “ascension” was also dismissed as taking up too much of his time. A rather lame excuse considering if one becomes immortal through such efforts, then the time to reach one’s goal is irrelevant. In the end, he cheated and used elixirs created by someone else to maintain an age of about 60.
Meredoth became a rather formidable wizard and as such would be given a high rank within the Alphatain Empire. However, he was also not well liked and his disregard for all things living made him a very dangerous figure to be given any political power. So, they made him a Baron of a land where they hoped he could do little damage. This suited Meredoth and he established himself on a remote island and let whatever retainers he had actually run things. To say he was a neglectful ruler would be an understatement.
The first winter in his Barony was cruel and resulted in the death of many of his retainers. Meredoth thought the best solution was to raise all of these retainers as mindless undead, something his main retainer objected to. Meredoth then killed that retainer, which gave him one more zombie but also left him to deal with the day-to-day problems from his people.
Meredoth wanted nothing more than to be left alone with his research instead of tiring things such as the defense of his realm or food shortages, yet still he found himself bothered by an increasing number of retainers and immigrants. Annoyed, he came up with a solution to the food shortage and these interruptions to his research. He poisoned all of his people and made them into zombies that retained their intelligence, yet were solely loyal to their creator. Now, food wasn’t an issue and they would leave him alone.
That same evening, a storm descended upon his island and transported it and Meredoth to the Demplanes of Dread. It is always winter on Meredoth’s little island. Though living, Meredoth has the purplish complexion and icy touch of a corpse. The Dark Powers granted him a small boon and delayed his aging. Yet not a true form of immortality, age slowly creeps into his bones year after year. Just as his parents, even the Dark Powers were reluctant to accept him and it took a century of his time in the Mists before they decided to make him an official Darklord.
Meredoth still excels at Necromancy and prefers life among his zombies over the living. He has also created a number of unique spells to suit his new, wintery Domain, including snow golems and a snow to stone spell. He looks like your standard Halloween costume shop wizard, wearing tattered robes accompanied by long white hair and beard. Our tormentors granted him a number of boons, allowing him to control the waters around his island, sensing when someone visits his island, and granting him immunity to the lesser undead.
Meredoth is an accomplished Necromancer, likely one of the most powerful in the Domains of Dread. He’s also skilled in Evocation and if he had applied himself to other schools of magic, he could have been one of the most powerful Wizards to roam the Mists, but he settled on his one trick skeletal pony routine. He views the living as nothing more than experiments, not worth his time or attention unless they’re on a slab in his laboratory.
Personality wise, Meredoth is like a small child always craving attention, yet loathing it whenever he receives it (which is rare). Still, I must admit he is quite powerful and though he will never find a path to the immortality he seeks, his skills in Necromancy and to a lesser extent, Evocation, cannot be denied.

Elixirs and Arcanum
Arcanum is the art of wonder, and Elixir is its blood and soul. The city is a place of marvel and magic, of dazzle and spectacle, of great feats of skill. But magic always has a cost. Every flying toy, every flaming sword, every flash of lightning, every conjuration of steel, every monstrous chimera, every loyal golem… all need the precious lifeblood that is the Elixir to function. This magic potion permits all the glory of arcanum, whether it is ingested by man or machine.
With training, anyone can learn to make use of the magic sequestered inside the liquid. Near any effect can be learned with proper direction: great bursts of flame, hardening to steel, levitation, teleportation, duplication, increasing one’s intelligence, charming allure, befuddling minds, skipping time, shattering space, delaying death, birthing wonders, erasing mistakes… all of these are possible with talent, dedication, and, above all else, Elixir.
The exact recipe for Elixir is a closely guarded secret in the city. The license to produce the substance is given sparingly: a state monopoly granted only to the most trusted of citizens. Permission to brew elixirs is seen as a privilege coveted by all Patricians, and hoarded by the Senate fiercely for the wealth it represents. The ravenous hunger for elixirs by the golem carvers, wonder crafters, chimera stitchers, and all who purchase these products ensure that the demand for Elixirs is eternal. Even the dregs of failed batches have their use in other industries. Farmers and aquaculturists have found ways to meet the needs of the hungry populace using Elixir in secret rites.
By far the most valuable are Elixirs produced in the Dominus’s own factories, with the best ingredients and the purest of recipes. These Elixirs supply the Watchers, the Gladiators, the Venatio, the Charioteers. Order and wonder both are produced in the Dominus’s factories, and sold for the good of the city in perfect vials of glass. In a dark mirror of this glory, the criminal elements of the city have found their own alternatives. These misshapen recipes of miserable quality, aping at the glory of the city, still possess the barest spark of arcanum. And that smallest spark is enough for the criminal element to slaughter one another to possess.
Through this means, a guttersnipe brute might manage some mockery of magic. But possessing vials of elixir without license is as serious a crime, which the Watchers will ruthlessly crush just as they would any other weapon. The average, law-abiding plebeian will never acquire a single vial of the substance, unless they are employed as an artificer in some workshop, to be used in their employment. For the wealthy, Elixir vials are an expensive novelty, to power their toys or to play with their arcanum, if the interest takes them. For the greatest of Citizens, Elixir is the lifeblood of their estates, fueling their golems and their industry. For all the rest, it is what allows the marvels of their entertainment to function from afar.
There are some that claim they are capable of magic without use of Elixir. These are known to be charlatans, trying to make a fool of others for their amusement or their profit. Only uneducated plebes would fall for such obvious scams.

*gasp* THAT'S A COOOL GOLEM! what is she made out of??
"Oooh! That's interesting! Iron Blood is made of magic stone boulders, which uh, came from this "Heavenly Earth" Scroll. To create a pony golem, you need & do:
"Heavenly Earth" Scroll
Your blood in a petite dish (No, you may not use any other blood, or it wouldn't recognize you as the owner)
A magic quill (To use that blood as signature unto the scroll)
The Summoner's Elixir (Which you pour over the scroll as a catalyst)
The correct magic circle drawn with your unicorn magic or with some magic tools or whatever.
Blast the magic circle with your magic.
If all steps are done CORRECTLY, the scroll will lit up and your very own stone golem will arise from the circle. Then you use the same circle for summoning every use. To unsummon, you need to say a special command (unique to individual scroll), and a magic circle will appear beneath it and it will "Sink" into the magic circle until next time... - Twilight Sparkle

Quick Halloween Maze fic!
I wrote this really fast, so sorry for any mistakes. I had this idea when I mentioned monsters with candy in their heads so I used that. I'll write about some other monsters next (and hopefully actually let them appear in the fic). I might terrorize Isaac with his evil doppelganger!
Lance grabbed an orange juice cup from the table and sat back down. Like all the beverages in the maze it was spiked with strong alcohol, a trap for desperate challengers who either didn't came prepared with their own supplies or failed to bring enough. Now they're forced to either power through their thirst or hunger or they're forced to fight through whatever debuffs the food they eat will give them. He wasn't going to face the strongest monsters though, so he didn't mind the slight dizziness. If anything the heavy warmth was pleasant considering the chill lingering through the maze this late in the night, and conversation with friends and collages was better if everyone was a little tipsy.
Lance glanced back at the entrance towards the candy corn golem arena, it's been a while since anyone passed through. He still wasn't sure if time was passing differently in the maze or it was just easier to lose track of it with all the excitement, and Camilla always avoided giving a straight answer to this question. Lance chuckled remembering just how frustrated Ekon got during that discussion.
Suddenly he perked up. Footsteps could be heard approaching from the maze and he prepared to chat with the newcomer. Thad appeared from behind the thorn hedge looking… actually pretty bad. His left eye was swollen shut, the dark bruise spread over half of his cheek made worse by his pale skin, a cut on his other cheek, dried blood still around his nose and a split lip. Still he grinned cheerfully when he spotted Lance and judging by the way he was walking he really took advantage of all the alcohol laying around in the maze.
"How do you find the maze?" Lance greeted, giving Thad another look. Aside from his face he seemed fine.
"Great! I have lots of fun here and I have enough candy to last me the whole year", Thad plopped himself heavily on one of the empty chairs still grinning happily. "Taking a break from fighting?"
"Waiting for other challengers to come around so we can team up", he took another sip from his cup. A little too sweet for his taste but he wanted to save the water and tea he has on him for people who actually needed it.
"Why? What's in the next room that's dangerous enough for you to want to team up?" Thad raised his eyebrow at him and then cranked his neck trying to look past the corner into the arena.
Lance chuckled. "Oh, I'm not here to compete in the maze. I'm just helping others defeat some more difficult challenges and offer them supplies if they need it". He then pointed to a bag behind his chair.
"Really?" Thad drawled. "Waste the whole holiday just to help others? How did we ended up together again?"
"Someone needs to balance out your selfish tendencies". Lance relaxed back in his chair.
Thad rolled his eyes amused and started rooting through his backpack. Eventually he pulled up two life elixirs and a mana one. "Here, add these to your stack, maze hero".
He picked the bottles and studied them, they were actual elixirs not traps. Large bottles also, not the small samples you can get from weaker monsters. "Useful supplies in this quantity are rare in the maze. What did you kill for them?"
"Nothing, I found them on the floor in an empty room, along with some candy. Which is why I'm giving them away, technically they aren't mine. And I'm sure you can find a better use for them than me", Thad shrugged. Lance winced thinking about the state of the adventurer that needed to be teleported out of the maze.
"Still they could be useful for you, are you sure?" He hesitated but grabbed his bag when Thad shrugged again.
"I can fight my way through this maze without some dubious help. Fuck your money Lance, I don't need it!"
"It's candy", he chuckled again, but placed the handful of candy back in the bag. "Most challengers would love to get some more rare candy considering the difficulty of the maze".
"I already have lots of those chocolate balls". Thad reached for the melon juice. "What even is in this things anyway?"
"Gin, technically. But the apothecary team never manages to get the taste right", Lance laughed. Every year the gin tasted differently, there were even bets about it. "Are you sure you should drink more? You already tripped on the way to the table".
"Everything went well up til now, and what's a party without getting drunk?" Thad just threw his head back drinking the whole cup at once.
He looked amused as Thad winced when the alcohol touched his split lip. "Really? What happened to your face then? You didn't look like that this morning".
Thad laughed at the question, his good eye sparking with joy. "You know those those tall things made of darkness with jack-o-lantern buckets as heads?" Lance hummed in confirmation. "I didn't thought they can headbutt that hard. Everything went black for a few seconds after one got me I and had to stumble away to recover. Then I hit a pole with my face as I was trying to get away". Thad grinned proudly, "still killed them all after".
"At least you're having fun", Lance too laughed at that. "Also take this bottle of water, you never come prepared for anything".
"What? I could've used the elixirs I gave you if I needed to sober up", Thad eyed the bottle but didn't move.
"Elixirs aren't enough when you drink, you still need water". He pushed the bottle against Thad's chest.
Thad sighted and finally grabbed the water. "Fine I'll take it, but you know I'll probably pass it to someone else as soon as I can".
"At least keep it until you face the monsters in the next room, then decide if you need it or not." Lance placed his bag back on the floor.
"What exactly is there that needs this much preparation?" Thad gestured to his bag.
"Hmmm, telling you would be cheating. New challengers have to figure stuff out on their own the first time."
Thad rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. I forgot about that".
"We can still team up though, as long as you don't know what to expect when you pass through that doorway", he wasn't sure if letting Thad fight alone was a good idea, considering his drunken state.
"Nah, keep your strength to help others who need it more. I'll be fine on my own". Thad got up swaying a little while Lance looked at him worriedly.
Just then Scyther turned the corner and greeted at him, then glared when he spotted Thad.
"I'm not teaming up with the farmer. You two go ahead, I would actually like to win some prizes for tonight not babysit some weakling". Lance sighted at that and Thad poked his tongue out, turning towards the arena.
"I'll go. Talk to you after." He patted Lance's shoulder then went through the doorway.
Scyther approached the table still glaring a little. "A little too confident for his first time. Which are these? The bats or the golems?"
"The candy corn golems. Need some supplies?" Lance grabbed his bag again.
Scyther started rooting through his pockets. "Yes please, what have you got?"
#sorry g0atmama#didnt had time to look through the guild wars lore#will try to add more monsters and ideas from there in the next fic#maybe add some more farmers too if no one minds#👉👈#my fanfic#sve lance#farmer thad
