Lemon (2017) is about Isaac, a washed up actor whose marriage is slowly ending. He used to be famous in New York, but now he teaches acting classes in Los Angeles and is the face of a PSA campaign for Hepatitis C. He tries to get his wife to stay, he tries to feel connected to his family, he tries to meet someone new, and he fails miserably every time.

Lemon is kind of like watching a man fall down a staircase that just keeps going. He’s not likable, and he sabotages himself almost every time. It’s almost just a story about how sometimes things don’t get better. He’s a pathetic main character, and that’s sort of the appeal.

Like the fruit it’s named after, I think Lemon is an interesting film with some exceptional elements. I liked a lot of the cinematography, and some of the scenes were terrific. Altogether though, it’s kind of a lot of sour. I once sucked all the juice out of a lemon. I don’t think I’ll do it again.

Hi. She's an actress in HW. She used to be a big fan of XF and posted about a party she attended in HW with some producers and people from the industry in a popular XF forum almost 15 years ago. After making it, she simply stopped posting about D and G.
