I honestly just want a prequel movie showing how Jessica and Duke Leto got together. With Rebecca Ferguson and Oscar Isaac. I just loved their subtle moments of love and trust and marital happiness in the movie, and would love to see where it all began.

I just...really want fic that focuses on Naruto and Shikamaru raising their families and dealing with the political intrigue of ruling Konoha on a day-to-day basis.

So on my fifth watch of Dune (2021) in theaters I actually noticed that when *SPOILERS*

Reverend Mother Mohiam was talking with Baron Harkonnen about their plan to attack the Atreides, she actually referred to Jessica as Duke Leto's WIFE. Was that a slip in the script? Or is that a reference to how, in the eyes of the rest of the Imperium and no matter her actual status, Jessica pretty much was Duke Leto's wife?

Either way, it's VERY interesting. 🤔

Currently reading through Dune prequel books that have Leto x Jessica moments in them. Sorry not sorry, I'm obsessed and I care more about romance than dark messiahs ya'll, it's a fact.

And I will admit that though the prequel books are not without their controversy, and have definitely had moments that made me mad at Leto re: how he goes about his love life at times...his first meeting with Jessica (in the prequels at least) was kinda hot.

And yes I'm talking about the fact that he ran his fingers through Jessica's hair while commenting that he heard the Bene Gesserit were all witches. Oooo, steamy. (Enemies-to-lovers fans know of the crumbs of which I speak lol)

Eh Imma go out on a limb like some other users on here and say that Blackfire is actually genuine with Conner and isn't just using him

Okay, after watching certain clips on YouTube, I've cracked the case.

Starfire was switched at birth.

That vision of the woman reaching for her baby is her real mom. The Tamaranien royal family has secretly been unable to produce fire for decades. They've kept up the charade by finding "peasant" babies to switch their offspring with and raise as their own. Neither Starfire nor Blackfire know this.

The reason why Blackfire can't produce fire is because she is a trueborn royal who was made the scapegoat for their failures to produce "fire" offspring. Either that or she was switched at birth too and her powers somehow got suppressed or blocked as a child.

When Starfire and Blackfire figure out the truth, it will awaken confusion and resentment, with possibly more resentment on Blackfire's side due to how she was treated all her life. There will be questions of whether they are actually sisters.

But THEN this is where Conner's conversation with Blackfire earlier in the season comes to play- it is entirely possible to be family with those who are not of your blood!

Blackfire and Starfire remain sisters in spirit and bond and they move forward closer than ever. (And Blackfire stays in a happy relationship with Conner yooooo 😆)
