jack probably refined the design over time, maybe using the combat data gathered by tim, got a more powerful portable digistructor, and eventually built the opaque holograms he uses during combat in bl2. but doubt there'd be any point to giving sentience to something that's only meant to be a glorified bullet decoy. and they probably wouldn't appreciate it either.

✿   • Ok so, i feel like ppl take the "And then theres that teeny bopper thinking only with his downstairs longnose." Dialogue from Swansea to the extreme. Cuz Swansea is usually very pessimistic and dramatic in his dialogue. Daisuke might aswell just have been complaining abt how hard it is to date on a freaking space freighter and how badly he wanted a lovelife while repairing something and Swansea decided to make a snarky/sarcastic remark abt it like he does on other occasions in game. "Capitano! Man with the plan!", "Let's hear it for Wake Rock!", "think i can already feel the ship rumb-a-tumbling through space." Ect.

Or maybe he is just a gooner i mean whaddo i know 🤷‍♀️ (pls don't attack me goonsuke fans)

✿   • Doesn't really drink that much when hes out, he'll have something if everyone else is but he rarely gets drunk-drunk. Hes a sentimental one but thats a secret shhhhh.

✿   • has tried smoking weed too but inhaled it wrong and nearly threw up from how hard he was coughing, his face was beet red for the rest of the night, 50% from the coughing, 50% from embarrassment. His friends get him into alot of stupid shit.

✿ • Talks to inanimate objects all the time and rarely thinks twice about it, like he'll bump into a table and say "sorry" or "excuse me", but if it was particularily hard on a sharp edge he'll go "owwUHH!!😠 You bitch...💔"

✿ • Speaking of garlic he helps his mom around in the kitchen alot when making dinner, hes secretly a really good cook from just watching and learning through her but doesn't really like doing it all that much so it never lives up to its full potential. His dad is a bit scary in the kitchen on the other hand so he stays behind him lol

✿ • I headcanon his parents to be very like-..? They try to be supportive of him and encourage him to "try that" or "check out that job application" but on an emotional level they're a bit harder to get through to. Hes convinced they're dissapointed in him 24/7 what with how his mom called him a slacker. But they just want what's best for him.

He knows he'll never be like them. Just like Swansea said, hes not an ace student, career workhorse or a force of ambition. He doubts he'll ever bring in the big bucks. But that doesn't stop him from wanting to try. Hes just lost.

Trying to swap the starting mage armor with the Quickstart Leathers. I swear I’ve read this tutorial and followed it to a T but it just will not work. Gonna step away from this for the night I think

WISTERIA SKIN + PUPA EYES: A COMPLETE SET OF GENETICS

BOI that was an undertaking! but finally, and with lots of assistance from the wonderful @kestrelteens, this skin is completed. and it turned into an entire set of cohesive genetics, too! more info under the cut ⤵

essentially this is a mix of woohoo on the beach (aka ios those darn skins slightly edited) and various other components taken from @obscurus-sims, @lamatisse and @buglaur, (such as collarbones and ears), and some moles/freckles for the elder bodies i snuck from @episims, and @sixfootsims tongue + teeth texture. lips are a nod to maxis and a blend of so much stuff that i dont even remember it.😅 also tried to eliminate the smeared lipstick texture under the feet, and p much blended every seam i could find.

here's a swatch of the full range, which is more undertone rather than gradient based:

january 13th-- i noticed that the s3 range for females is a little too highlighted in the chest area, to the point that clothing where the skin texture mapping is just off the *tiniest* bit makes it clip with the neck, which also applies to a lot of ea meshes. i have toned down the shine and blended the neck down further for this range so that it looks better with differently mapped clothes :)

please redownload the natural defaults and/or non defaults. make sure to keep a backup of the previous version in case you end up not liking the changes ive made to this range!

-when c00lkidd was older (maybe 9-10, just a bit before getting forsaken) he found 007n7 crying over the stress of raising him. he loved his son, but sfoth above it was hell raising him especially as a single father. c00lkidd behaved a lot better afterwards. too bad he never got to fully make it up to his father

-i feel like jane and john doe were the most healthy average suburban married couple. wanted kids and a dog. worked a 9-5. all the works. theyd gift each other flowers bimonthly, regularly went on dates, etc.

-jane doe was the one who proposed tho

ok but i’m being so forreal. you’re an animal? go and play theHunter cotw.

i didn’t see myself ever enjoying human hunting games, but it’s not this berserker shoot-em-up for white boys who would sooner give up their guns than just respect the animals they’re killing. it’s slow. you enter the game wondering if there even are any animals. you find tracks and amble along after them for minutes straight, wondering how dumb you look. you see that deer. you shoot it. you follow the trail of blood to your hunt. it’s so fun. it has quenched my prey drive better than literally anything else.

you can see soundwaves of animal calls in your peripherals, and then look at the source and see the gender, species, how far it is… droppings and blood tell you the vitality of the animal, the flow of blood, how recently it was there, where it leads. such a good ass game.

if the human stats aren’t to your liking, there are mods to decrease the sound you make, alter the speed of your positions, take less fall damage, be harder to spot… i personally use modbuilder revived on nexusmods. i like it a lot. i pretty much exclusively crouch with it sped up slightly, so my head is the correct height and i feel less disoriented. i love stalking and tracking so much.

honestly it’s a game i am genuinely surprised doesn’t cost $60, it’s extremely high quality and never gets old to me. i usually play for hours at a time. there’s a multiplayer function i haven’t tried yet but i imagine that would be fucking spectacular if you have therian friends and want to hunt in a pack.. (let me know if you want to.)

just to add a little context, i started to think about this silly hc because of greenkangaroo's works (on ao3 or tumblr) because in it some of skizzes angel eyes are used to see lighting levels... i think. anyways

have you ever tried to think what quality of life mods would look like if we try and picture minecraft as the universe actually people live in? i mean f3 in general exists in canon and so you would probably imagaine it as a literal panel on a gadget

WELL. i think. those mods that hermits use for the levels of light on blocks? or to simulate spawnable spheres? YEAH I IMAGAINE THEM AS THAUMCRAFT GLASSES. the ones u used to see magical properties more clear...or smth (its been a long time)

almost every redstoner/farmer has those glasses and they go around the server sometimes because peeps who rarely use it dont want to obtain them themselves. and it, ofc, led to those select few who Do own a pair, to decorate the glasses so its obvious who to return them too.

doc's are a little asymmetrical because he tinkered with them to fit over his cybernetic eye

mumbo used to have a pair but it got lost during his hiatus. it used to have a mustache drawn badly on it with a sharpie

xisuma's are in a shape of his visor, so he can swap em or just... *thlump* them into space. over his visor. and it connects nicely

cub has his on a rope(?lace idk) somewhat like when grandmas have their glasses on a string, but more in a binocular sense. its a thick lether string. its really practical!

etho wears his on the forehead all the time for style points. etho in my head is not stylish at all so yeah a fluffy coat a silk mask and magical sparkly thick glasses is the vibe hes going for.

pearl has a special case for them to store safely. it is still as bit up as others (you can imagaine which hands they travel through)

Prompt: robot fascinated by human blood / nosebleed Ship: Robot Spy <-?-> Sniper Rating: T for violence

The robots ain’t fucking shit. One in the shape of Spy tries to knife Sniper in the back, trying to sneak up behind him with its lighted eyes and creaky joints so loud that Sniper can practically hear its clunky steps from two stories up. It’s a poor imitation of the real thing, and Sniper has seen some shitty imitations in the past year. Even the enemy spy can do better.

Sniper swings around, kukri in hand. The robot’s blade knicks Sniper’s forearm, a flick of blood arcing in the air. It doesn’t even sting, but Sniper’s temper flares. 

The thing is—the robot don’t got that same fluidity that Spy has. None of them do. Plastic wires can’t replace the satisfaction of slicing through arteries or veins. Can’t enjoy the feel of flesh giving in to a blade or how the muscles of a panicked body tense before relaxing for a good fight. Sniper drags his kukri out of the machine and the only feedback he gets is the mundane scrape of metal against flimsy panels and brittle cables. 

Even getting hit doesn’t have the same exhilarating rush. The robot’s fist is nothing interesting. As impersonal and stupid as accidentally running into a wall. Spy would’ve thrown a punch with knuckles and nails and a little laugh that can linger in the back of Sniper’s head like a broken record. It’s actually insulting how the robot even tries.

Stumbles to the ground all wrong, makes all the wrong dying sounds, makes stupid decisions like trying to switch to a revolver when it should’ve stuck with the balisong. Sniper drops down over the machine’s body, hands around a cold metal throat that he can’t crush. Can’t gasp out a breath with  no lungs. No windpipe to block. No pain to make ‘em think twice about moving.

Maybe that’s the only good thing. The robot’s body is modded after Spy’s, got the same shape and weight under Sniper. Spy would’ve gone still like a snake, trying to get some air. The robot still shifts and struggles to move its arms despite all its loose strings of snapped cables and bent metal coverings.

Blood drips from Sniper’s nose. It splashes across the robot’s shoulders and face, bright red against cold shiny blue paint. The robot’s eyes flash.

Sniper looks down at it with detached curiosity. He can feel the mechanisms still whirling under him. It putters and restarts, almost like a dying breath. With his own blood covering it, it does look like its dying.

The real Spy would’ve started complaining about getting blood on his suit, and Sniper would’ve let the bastard complain. 

‘Course the robot doesn’t a word. It stops its weak struggle under Sniper, gap-jointed fingers suddenly letting go of Sniper’s wrists in an attempt to free its neck. 

Another well of blood falls from Sniper’s nose. It hits the robot right over the right eye.

It freezes, and so does Sniper.

Stupid thing can’t even wipe its eyes, he thinks, just as the robot reaches upwards to do just that.

Its fingers are flat and square, but it smears the blood from its eye over the painted image of its black glove. When it rubs its forefinger and thumb, the blood goes tacky, sticking the fingers together until it forces the components apart.

The robot inspects its fingers, almost with the same detached curiosity as Sniper, before it does the same careful swipe across its shoulders and face, every spot where Sniper had bled over it.

The real Spy would’ve hated this. Would’ve gotten revenge on Sniper for getting blood on his suit. 

Never would’ve stared fascinated by his own blood-covered fingers. Never would’ve reached out to brush across Sniper’s bleeding nose and mouth for more. 

Sniper watches it drop its hand back. It shudders before going still, the flicker light from its eyes dimming.

Sniper stares. More blood falls over the robot’s face, but it gets no reaction and the machine’s body goes quiet like real death. Sniper tips his head back and sniffs to stop his nose from dripping. He lets go of the robot’s neck, slowly sitting back with a sharp exhale that accidentally blows out another splatter of blood anyway.

Sniper wipes his nose, eyeing the robot Spy.

“Well, fuck,” he mutters.
