I just finished Emily in Paris and I knew Emily and Alfie wouldn't last. He was always just an obstacle for her and Gabriel so was always going to only be around for a short time BUT he's so much better then Gabriel! HE moved to Paris for her. HE doesn't have feelings for another woman. HE is not stringing two women along at the same time. HE hasn't been emotionally cheating

So the first part of Emily in Paris' new season is watched.

It's enjoyable overall (and a show totally unsuited for a two-part season) but my gripes about Emily x Gabriel continue, exchanged I-love-yous notwithstanding.

It was actually said on the show about how people sometimes don't say what they really mean but how can we go from "it was fun tonight but tomorrow we will be Emily and Gabriel and not Anna and David and we must face real life" And "we would be perfect for each other if we were different people" and the continue hammering on a pairing that doesn't make sense anymore?

I know that Emily x Gabriel is endgame but I am afraid the writers may have gotten HIMYM-ed meanwhile.

I just finished binging season 3 of Emily in Paris and I have thoughts.

I loved most of Emily's outfits this season. Luc is such an underrated character. I think Nicolas is fake. Ashley Park really does have an incredible voice. Justice for Alfie. And holy crap at that ending.

in order to keep the will-they-won’t-they between Emily and Gabriel going, Emily in Paris has decimated both characters to the point where it’s impossible to continue rooting for this romance.

This may be a very unpopular opinion but I really am not rooting for Emily and Gabriel to be end game because like, eh. I’m not really feeling it. I liked Alfie much better🤷🏻‍♀️

goddamit, why in season three of the escapist romcom dramedy I enjoy

- about a fish-out-of-water workaholic who unrealistically wears cute shorts to her office all the time -

do they let the driving romance with great chemistry go flat for too many episodes, due to plotlines that keep the leads apart and have them going all-in on their other serious relationships, and with not much in the way of longing looks or shown hesitation to keep the will they/won't they torch burning and yet expect that flame to still be alight the moment they want to pick it back up

in other words why did Emily in Paris season 3 remind me so much of Hart of Dixie season 3

yea l'm a basic bitch and I just binged 6 episodes of emily in paris in one sitting and what a mess! I like the show (so unrealistic but escapist) but l'm always slightly annoyed by the endings like last season I got thrown off by how the writers were trying to (forcefully?) perpetuate the love triangle at the end when Emily and Alfie were cute and this season's ending...honestly what a mess and cliffhanger! now I have fucking realized the whole show is just basically everything that happens before Emily and Gabriel get married and have children and live happily ever after like just get it over with!! just start a show called Emily and Gabriel in Normandy or The Gabriels in Normandy😤😤like now I have just fucking realized that hahahahahahahah😃…🤨…it’s honesty just a bunch of basic bitches including myself having problems with a show made for basic bitches how laughable🤗🤷‍♀️and Alfie...that's so sad I feel sorry for him what's gonna happen next season...?

I have been re-watching Emily in Paris from the beginning.

I'm currently in episode 5 of the first season and for now we do have all the intense heart eyes between Emily and Gabriel. I am even invested them in these episodes, regardless of the fact that I know how things will turn out .

But in Season 4? Not meaning to beat a dead horse but yeah not seeing them again and they're all happy and coupled now.
