I Need You || Emlin

Her body was throbbing and there was blood oozing down her arm and staining her shirt. She didn’t care. These past few months have been the worst. She had been running from Everything. Emmy had been officially and totally off the rails. She hadn’t talked to her half sister in weeks and there hadn’t been a night where she could remember fully. She cut out the only thing in her life that made her feel anything. Something finally fucking real came into her life and she was a coward and took it out on him. On her Devlin. She wasn’t drunk tonight – no. She was completely and utterly sober, letting all her emotions pour over a wall that she had done up nicely since he left. Right before they were together for a year, she called it off. Without warning, she had simply done away with her only source of happiness. 

She was face to face with the spawn that had caused her to make everything shit in her life.. Herself. She had already punched the reflective mirror and let the shards and blades cascade down the wall and into her hand and arm. A scream left her plush pink lips, her sober mind finding every possible dark spot in her mind and resurfacing everything. Walking out of the bathroom, she stepped in several shards of glass, a series of curse words escaping her lips before her body gave in and her small figure dropped to the ground. It took her awhile but soon, all the glass was out of her body and all she was left with was empty flesh wounds and flowing blood. She wish she had a drink right now, her tendencies to use, drugs and alcohol, stronger than ever. Emmy knew of a saying that was all too real. ‘ I use to drink to drown my problems but the damn things have learned how to swim ‘. 

She didn’t know what to do. Emmy couldn’t regain a conscious decision without a whine of emotion coming from her body. It pained her to feel so fucking trapped by her own decisions. Her breaths became quicker and her eyes became glassy. For all she knew she was safe, her eyes and her heart were currently in a place where no one could get her but the most dangerous person of all was herself. She promised herself she wouldn’t do such a thing but with tears rolling down her cheeks, she couldn’t find the strength to stop herself. Pulling out her phone, Emmy still had his number on speed dial. She pressed the screen to her ear, letting the blood drip down just like her tears did and waited for something to happen on the other end. All of a sudden, it stopped ringing and before he could even talk, she just closed her eyes and talked. “I need you.”
