Champion of The Seraphim Order
"Once in an age on the eve of battle, a marine in the Seraphim Order will be blessed with a holy vision from the god-king-emperor himself. His words so righteous and true they deemed themselves 'immortal' by following his divine will. Blessed with the Sword of Eternal Flame and the Battle Armour of the Chapter Elders, the Champion of the Seraphim Order pledges themselves to purge the galaxy of heresy and corruption. Even among their own."
"One of the rarest and most selective Chapters in the Imperium of Man is The Seraphim Order, A chapter surrounded by zealot beliefs of perfection and purity. In its order, each battle brother's and sister's gene seed is refined through endless processes to the point where its number pales in comparison to others, where each weakness and 'heretic' trait is genetically purged and scrubbed from their records. Despite their number, they are well versed in their training and kitted with the latest and rarest of equipment, arrogantly claiming that each Marine from their order is worth 10 of any else's.
For years, the Order has been the Emperor's weapon of reckless faith, a specialised chapter in the Imperium designed to purge and destroy all its enemies. Unlike the Inquisition or even the Grey Knights, The Seraphim Order wastes no time asking questions or considering the options. When ordered to purge the unclean, they act instantly and without hesitation.
The Chapter's obsession with loyal purity led to its near-extinction after a prior Champion of the Order turned to the heresy of a void god, and led to the entire chapter being rigorously purged out of over caution. A testament to their words, "Purity through suffering".

The news has reached me that there are canon female custodes, and that the reactions have been mmm well, mixed. I don’t play custodes on tabletop but i do love the faction, and i think it’s an interesting and harmless little addition to the setting. Somewhere in the mists of time some custodes put his genhanced transhuman mind to work and asked himself “What if instead of just taking boy babies for the Full Genome Restructuring Into An Exalted Demigod…what if we took all the babies.” Now we have the Golden Roughly Twenty Thousand, double the protection for the Emperor😌

what if! the eternal champion! is just a silly pathetic small girl who's just very sweet and awkward!? (sorry for the very poor sketch...)
this is my eternal champion :) her name is Narya, unlike the main three, she's just very small and not skilled when it comes to fighting, still, she managed somehow to defeat Jagar Tharn (the Divines blessed this poor girl with a rotten luck)

Prayers to the Emperor heal and strengthen the soul. A sacrament for those who are pure in soul or want to purify their soul and let His light into themselves.

I’m extremely happy with how this turned out.
I was feeling very self conscious about my painting, like it weren’t no good or nuthin but thanks to the constant support of @moonlightrain and a pep talk from @happyhyenaminis I was feeling encouraged to keep going and so I finally got around to painting my Emperor’s Champion.
Wanted to try a slightly altered paint scheme because I think my previous BTs looked slightly too blue. This was Abaddon black with highlights of Corvus Black, Dark reaper with edge highlights of thunder hawk blue, followed by Black Templar Contrast 50/50 Contrast Medium, then a coat of Nuln oil, finished off with Stormshield to give it a matte finish.
This was also the first time I tried doing dirt build up on the boots, it’s something I’m gonna be doing a lot more of.
A couple of things I would like to learn in the future is armour weathering as well as more realistic lighting affects. The lantern thing on his belt would look way better if you could see the glow on the armour.

‘Unless you need something, let’s continue on to Weynon Priory’
Narrator voice: they did not, in fact, continue on to Weynon Priory.
I haven’t posted about Ivari in a very very long time! She’s one of my characters who pretty much does every side quest she can before giving Martin over to Jauffre, and they had a great time, despite Martin’s complaining.
I love these two so much and I can’t wait to draw them more often.
