it was just Pokémon BW but in the fossil fighters setting

have the additional concept art, I was gonna do designs for Bianca and N’s human disguise and ran out of steam

Everyday Vivosaurs AU is an AU for the game series Fossil Fighters where I take the concept of Wild/Rogue Vivosaurs introduced in Champions and Frontier and expand upon it in a “What’s life like now with these superpowered dinosaurs roaming the modern world?” type of way.

In this AU, enough years have passed that the world's people and infrastructure have adapted to the Vivosaurs presence, as well as Vivosaurs now being categorized into three main classes; battlers, wild, and domesticated.

“Battlers” are the type of Vivosaur you see in the games, them being revived purely for battle under the command of a Fossil Fighter. Not much more to explain there.

“Wild” are Vivosaurs that have either been released, abandoned, or were born in the wild. They are under no direct human supervision unless tagged by the authorities or a Warden. Tags are applied to a Vivosaur by shooting a special dart, leaving a colored mark on the Vivosaurs skin that will disappear upon reverting into medal form.

These tags are separated into tiers:

Green Tag -Safe to remain where found

Yellow Tag -Unsafe to remain where found, removal or relocation advised

Orange Tag -Unsafe to remain where found, Unwilling to be removed or relocated

Red Tag -Dangerous to remain where found, removal required

Black Tag -Extremely Dangerous, avoid at all costs (Beyond tagging, only certified Wardens may interact)

“Domesticated” Vivosaurs are either revived for or rehabilitated into a domestic life, sports and physical labor included. A license is still required to own Vivosaurs, whether you plan on battling or not, for yours and others safety. It’s also still mandatory to keep Vivosaurs in their medals when out in public, no matter their size or temperament.

Why do the prettiest vivosaurs have to have the most complicated designs like papygon is GORGEOUS to me but its also Insectoid Wings you Have To Draw and if you half ass it, it looks shitty. Hellish torment.

I was so incredibly excited when this was announced, fossil fighters is one of those interests of mine that's so niche, that I've never properly talked about just how much I love it, or how many feelings I have about the dinaurians. Especially King Dynal. This comic is my attempt to summarize that.
